The German press reported the following:<\/p>\n

Security experts are rarely optimists and security reports rarely optimistic. That holds true for the latest Munich Security Report published on Thursday. Titled “To the Brink \u2014\u00a0and Back?”<\/a> it forecasts a new era of uncertainty on the horizon.<\/p>\n

“In the last year, the world has gotten closer \u2014\u00a0much too close \u2014\u00a0to the brink of a significant conflict,” wrote Munich Security Conference (MSC) Chairman Wolfgang Ischinger<\/a>, who has served as Germany’s former ambassador to the US and UK. …<\/p>\n

American ‘sabotage’<\/strong><\/p>\n

The latest MSC report followed up on last year’s\u00a0forecast\u00a0that the United States\u00a0under President Donald Trump could forfeit its established role as the guarantor of international security<\/a> by acting unilaterally and furthering an American-centric vision<\/a> at the cost of its traditional allies.<\/p>\n

Under Trump, the US has given up on policies based on shared values, showing\u00a0little interest in developing regional or global institutions that shape international relations, and instead favoring\u00a0bilateral ties that serves its own interests, according to the report’s assessment.<\/p>\n

That attitude goes hand-in-hand with the White House’s lack of interest in advancing diplomacy.\u00a0The budget at the US State Department has been mercilessly slashed<\/span><\/a> since Trump came into office while defense spending has increased significantly.<\/p>\n

“The world’s most powerful state has begun to sabotage the order it created,” the report said, quoting John Ikenberry, a US foreign policy expert at Princeton University.<\/p>\n

A new era for Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n

For Europeans, the US’s policy shift\u00a0means doing more to provide for their own security, including rethinking defense spending, streamlining capabilities and defining a defense union.<\/p>\n

If EU member states and Norway would abide by NATO’s so-called “2-percent rule”<\/a> and invest 2 percent of their GDP in defense, it would translate into a spending increase of nearly 50 percent, taking total expenditures up to roughly $386 billion (\u20ac314 billion).<\/p>\n

But if the EU’s militaries are to become more efficient, they will need to become better connected<\/a>. The report’s authors pointed to what they describe as the “interconnectedness and digitization gap” in Europe. However, to close this gap, EU countries would need to commit even more funds. Meanwhile, a consolidation of Europe’s scattered defense industry would be crucial to securing the continent’s own capabilities. …<\/p>\n

The report quotes German Chancellor Angela Merkel as a reminder of Europe’s newfound predicament: “The times in which we could completely depend on others are, to a certain extent, over \u2026 We Europeans will have to take our fate into our own hands.” http:\/\/www.dw.com\/en\/world-on-the-brink-warns-munich-security-report\/a-42492462<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is not just talk from the Europeans.<\/p>\n

About two months ago, 25 European nations agreed to a permanent defense cooperation pact (see PESCO: The making of a European Defence Union<\/a>).<\/p>\n

People in the USA and Canada do not seem to understand how upset the Europeans are with the USA.<\/p>\n

And while this is NOT all because of US President Donald Trump, his actions, statements, mixed messages, and inconsistencies have given European leaders who have long wanted a militarily united Europe more incentives to go public with their desires and plans. Now more and more in Europe are supporting that.<\/p>\n

A German-dominated European military is being forged. The Bible shows that a German-dominated power will destroy places like the USA (Isaiah 10:5-12; see also\u00a0Germany in Biblical and Catholic Prophecy<\/a> and\/or watch\u00a0USA in Prophecy: Samaria<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The Bible also tells of the King of Assyria being involved in doing so (Isaiah 10:13-14; see also Germany\u2019s Assyrian Roots Throughout History<\/a>).<\/p>\n

This power will affect the USA and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies like Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom:<\/p>\n

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain.<\/p>\n

40 \u201cAt the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. (Daniel 11:39-40)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Notice that two kings are discussed. One is the final King of the North<\/a>. He is the one who will have the power to succeed against the \u2018strongest fortresses.\u2019 (The second is the final King of the South<\/a>, who will also be defeated by the King of the North<\/a> after the USA is out of the way.)<\/p>\n

In the 21st century, the strongest fortresses belong to the USA, and to a lessor degree, its Anglo-Saxon descended allies.<\/p>\n

The King of Assyria and the King of the North are references to the same power. A power that will destroy the USA and cause its Anglo-Saxon descended allies to also be taken over (see also Will the Anglo-Saxon Nations be Divided and Have People Taken as Slaves?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Many will point out that Europe is disorganized, lacks unity, and is simply not capable of destroying the USA and its allies.<\/p>\n

Well, the Bible teaches that despite unity problems, Europe will rise up (Daniel 2:41-43).<\/p>\n

The Bible also teaches that Europe will reorganize:<\/p>\n

12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Bible further teaches that the Europeans will end up with “a great army” (Daniel 11:25).<\/p>\n

More and more we are hearing calls for an increased European military.<\/p>\n

Brexit and US President Donald Trump are factors in that.<\/p>\n

With the UK no longer able to vote against the development of an EU military, and another US president who is pushing the Europeans to arm (President Obama did as well), Europe is deciding to be militaristic.<\/p>\n

Bible prophecy shows, that like the old ‘Holy Roman Empire’ that essentially died, Europe will rise up again, and do so militarily, but with a limited time allotment:<\/p>\n

1<\/span> Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. <\/span>2<\/span> Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. <\/span>3<\/span> And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. <\/span>4<\/span> So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” <\/span><\/div>\n

5<\/span> And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. (Revelation 13:1-5)

The “sea” is a reference to the Mediterranean Sea (cf. Daniel 7; watch also Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

A military power will rise up in Europe.<\/p>\n

This will not end well for the USA (Daniel 11:39), its Anglo-Saxon descended allies (Daniel 8:24-25), nations in the Middle East and North Africa (Daniel 11:40-43), nor ultimately Europe itself (Daniel 11:44-45).<\/p>\n

But those prophesies will come to pass and the Europeans seem more and more determined to become the militaristic power to fulfill them.<\/p>\n
