In a move that, sadly, was not unexpected, Facebook censored the use of scripture:<\/p>\n

Facebook is taking McKellen\u2019s\u00a0position that freedom of speech is\u00a0fine for some but not for others, according to\u00a0Christian minister and blogger Julio Severo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n

Severo said Facebook is punishing him for posting Leviticus 18:22 in Portuguese, \u201cN\u00e3o de deitar\u00e1s com homem, como se fosse mulher; abomina\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9.\u201d<\/p>\n

A WND request to Facebook for comment generated only an automated response with instructions on how to get press releases, photos and other media resources.<\/p>\n

Facebook sent a message to Severo that said: \u201cWe Removed Something You Posted. It looks like something you posted doesn\u2019t follow our Community Standards. We remove posts that attack people based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, gender or disability. Lev\u00edtico 18.22: N\u00e3o de deitar\u00e1s com homem, como se fosse mulher; abomina\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

The offending post originally was published in 2013, Severo noted.<\/p>\n

\u201cWilling or not willing, Facebook treated Leviticus 18:22 directly as a \u2018attack\u2019 on \u2018people based on their \u2026 sexual orientation, gender.\u2019 That is, Facebook treated the Bible as a criminal book!\u201d Severo said.<\/p>\n

\u201cDoes Facebook guidelines warn its users that the Bible is a criminal book? Does Facebook\u2019s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities warn its users that the Bible is a criminal book?\u201d<\/p>\n

He said he\u2019s on a 30-day ban from Facebook over the issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cFacebook waited exactly five years to notify my expos\u00e9 is \u2018offensive,\u201d\u2018\u00a0Severo wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat does Facebook have against the Bible and those mentioning its verses? What does Facebook have specifically against Leviticus 18:22, a famous verse in the Bible?\u201d<\/p>\n

Severo directed pointed questions at Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, whom he described as a \u201cJewish American.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cDoes he approve what his company has done against the Jewish Scriptures? Is he aware?<\/p>\n

\u201cOr does he think that Facebook is now bigger, greater and more important than the holy Jewish and Christian Scriptures?\u201d http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2018\/02\/christian-catches-facebook-censoring-bible\/#HYP7qyXCypkfXbB7.99<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

FWIW, I read Facebook’s ‘Community Standards’ today and found nothing about restriction of religious speech. But, perhaps they define words differently than I or the dictionary do. Facebook is not the only place that has censored Leviticus 18. Years ago, a Canadian court fined a man as well as a magazine, for having an advertisement that quoted that verse.<\/div>\n
\n

The LGBTQ movement does not want people to think that their sexual practices are sinful or abominable. But they are condemned by the Bible.<\/p>\n

The Bible is clear that God is opposed to sexual immorality, including ‘same-sex’ relationships, and that it is not good for the participants nor those that approve of such practices:<\/p>\n

\n

26 <\/b><\/span>For this reason God allowed their shameful passions to control them. Their women have exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 <\/b><\/span>Likewise, their men have given up natural sexual relations with women and burn with lust for each other. Men commit indecent acts with men, so they experience among themselves the punishment they deserve for their perversion.<\/p>\n

28 <\/b><\/span>And because they thought it was worthless to acknowledge God, God allowed their own immoral minds to control them. So they do these indecent things. 29 <\/b><\/span>Their lives are filled with all kinds of sexual sins, wickedness, and greed. They are mean. They are filled with envy, murder, quarreling, deceit, and viciousness. They are gossips, 30 <\/b><\/span>slanderers, haters of God, haughty, arrogant, and boastful. They think up new ways to be cruel. They don’t obey their parents, 31<\/b><\/span>don’t have any sense, don’t keep promises, and don’t show love to their own families or mercy to others. 32 <\/b><\/span>Although they know God’s judgment that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do these things but also approve of others who do them. (Romans 1:26-32)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Now, the above passages have been prohibited by various governmental agencies in Canada (watch also Canadian censoring of the Bible<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Expect Europe to go in that direction as well. The Beast of Revelation<\/a> will be against God’s commands (watch also The Ten Commandments and the Beast of Revelation<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Last Summer, Germany passed a law to fine social media companies for ‘not deleting hate speech’ (see Germany approves \u2018same-sex marriage\u2019 and sets fines for Facebook, etc. to crack down on \u2018hate speech\u2019<\/a>), which became effective October 1, 2017 (see ZH: Germany has killed freedom of speech and expects the rest of the EU to do the same<\/a>).<\/p>\n

While that law might curb some ‘hate speech,’ make no mistake, laws like this will ultimately be used to prevent preaching the truth of the word of God!<\/p>\n

The USA (see NY Senator proposing more censorship: Can this lead to Amos\u2019 prophesied famine of the word?<\/a>\u00a0and \u2018California To Have Harsher Penalty For Pronoun Violations Than For Knowingly Spreading HIV\u2019<\/a>), parts of Eurasia (see Internet censorship in Eurasia, what might Donald Trump do related to the USA?<\/a>), China (see China\u2019s internet censorship drills: Another prelude to the coming famine of the word?<\/a>), the UK (see Totalitarian controls getting closer\u2013The Guardian pushing internet censorship<\/a>), and Canada (see Canada celebrates its 150th, but pushes internet and biblical censorship<\/a>), to name a few nations, have also taken steps against freedom of speech.<\/p>\n

I have warned for many years that under the guise of “hate speech” aspects of what we in the Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a> teach will one day be censored.<\/p>\n

Why?<\/p>\n

Because of things like the following prophecy:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

11 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God,
\n“That I will send a famine on the land,
\nNot a famine of bread,
\nNor a thirst for water,
\nBut of hearing the words of the Lord.
\n12 They shall wander from sea to sea,
\nAnd from north to east;
\nThey shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord,
\nBut shall not find it. (Amos 8:11-12)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Notice that the Bible tells of a time that will come when the word of God will not be found. And that would seem to be because truth from it will be taken off the internet. In the 21st century, the internet is accessed by people in every country, and thus some type of internet restriction\/suspension\/site removal is coming.<\/p>\n

Related to this part of Amos, in a sermon on November 27, 1982 titled \u201cU.S. of Europe is Coming,\u201d Herbert W. Armstrong<\/a> stated:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cAnyway this whole United States of Europe, when it goes together, is going to trigger nuclear World War III. Now let me tell you what else it\u2019s going to do. It\u2019s going to END OUR WORK! OUR WORK WILL BE THROUGH of getting the gospel to the world<\/strong>. That is, very shortly after it goes into force and effect; because they will move in such a way that it will end it. And then I\u2019ll tell you what will happen<\/em>. As you read here in Amos, the 8th chapter and verse 11 of Amos. Amos 8:11<\/em> \u2018Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread \u2026<\/em> but of hearing the word of the LORD.\u2019 \u201d<\/em> (http:\/\/cog-ff.com\/html\/pcomments_07_04_08.html, viewed 10\/03\/13)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In a November 22, 1982 co-worker letter, Herbert Armstrong wrote:<\/p>\n

\u2026 brethren and co-workers, the prophesied Great Tribulation (nuclear World War III) will start soon after the European unification. That means OUR WORK OF SPREADING THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD WILL BE FINISHED! We have not now much more time. Soon shall come a FAMINE of hearing the Word of the Lord (Amos 8:11). God says, work while it is day, for the night is coming when no man can work \u2013 in the Work of God! Nothing else is important in our lives, now, but this all-important Work of God. There will be governmental restrictions related to teaching what the Bible teaches. Groups, like the Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a>, will be censored for teaching what the Bible says should be taught!<\/p>\n

More censorship is coming.<\/p>\n

That is part of why we in the Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a> are preparing for the ‘short work’ (Romans 9:28) and the coming ‘famine of the word<\/a>.’<\/p>\n

In time, the ‘famine of word’ will hit. But Jesus’ message of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God<\/a> will reach the world as a witness.<\/p>\n
