While the White House\u2019s frenzied anti-Iran campaign has entailed unprecedented attempts to twist the arms of the United States\u2019 traditional European allies, the pressure may be backfiring \u2013 a reality made all the more clear by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov\u2019s claims that Europe\u2019s three major powers plan to continue trade ties with Iran without the use of the U.S. dollar.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The move would be a clear sign that the foremost European hegemons \u2013 France, Germany, and the United Kingdom \u2013 plan to protect the interests of companies hoping to do business with Iran,<\/strong> a significant regional power with a market of around 80 million people.<\/p>\n

Lavrov\u2019s statement came as Trump insisted that European companies would \u201cabsolutely\u201d face sanctions in the aftermath of Washington\u2019s widely-derided sabotage of the six-party Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). …<\/p>\n

France, Germany and the U.K. have pleaded with the \u201cAmerica First\u201d president to exempt EU companies, <\/strong>writing a letter to U.S. Secretary-Treasurer Steve Mnuchin and right-wing Secretary of State Mike Pompeo that the nuclear accord remains the \u201cbest means\u201d to prevent Iran\u2019s acquisition of a nuclear deterrent given the lack of any credible alternative. Given the hard-line stances of Pompeo and National Security Adviser John Bolton, the pleas were likely greeted with bemusement.<\/p>\n

The opening salvo or \u201csnap-back\u201d of sanctions hitting Iran\u2019s automotive sector, gold trade, and other industries will hit the country on August 4, while further sanctions will hit the country\u2019s oil industry and central bank on November 6.<\/strong> …<\/p>\n

Despite Trump’s self-reported success at the two-day summit of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Iranians and Europeans alike are hoping that EU leaders can finally put their money where their mouth is and unshackle themselves from the U.S.-imposed hegemonic bondage constraining them since the end of the Second World War.<\/em><\/strong> https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2018-07-12\/european-powers-prepare-ditch-dollar-trade-iran<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sanctions have consequences. Looking at getting around the US dollar for trade is something that countries subject to USA sanctions tend to do.<\/p>\n

While Europe needs to be more careful than Iran now as it has a lot more ties to the USA, other countries are also looking at ways to deal with sanctions as well as trade issues that are now rising up.<\/p>\n

The tiny nation of Kyrgyzstan has big plans. Caught between its giant trading partners, China and Russia, Kyrgyzstan is stockpiling gold<\/a>. It wants to increase gold from 16 percent to 50 percent as part of its international reserve.<\/p>\n

Tolkunbek Abdygulov of the Kyrgyz Central Bank has stated that any currency, whether dollars, rubles, or yuan, has become too vulnerable. The small mountain nation, with a population of 6 million, relies heavily on Russian and Chinese imports. With the possibility of global trades war on the horizon, Kyrgyzstan prefers to protect its financial stability by amassing gold. …<\/p>\n

Russia\u2019s central bank has increased its gold reserves to 62 million ounces, at a value of $80.5 billion, in an effort to diversify its reserves in view of possible geopolitical unrest. …<\/p>\n

China is another country that would like to see the U.S. dollar replaced on the global financial market. If China were to sell off its $1.18 in U.S. Treasury bonds, it could go a long way in accomplishing that goal.<\/p>\n

Russia\u2019s increase in gold holdings has made it a global gold powerhouse. It has triple the gold as a percent of GDP, or 5.6 percent of the world\u2019s available precious metal.<\/p>\n

This is a thought-out, long-term plan for Russia, and U.S. trade sanctions are only a part of the picture. With large gold reserves and a relatively small international debt, Russia has positioned itself as a strong global financial force. Officially, Russia and China still do not have enough gold to truly be able to dethrone the USA dollar. But they are taking steps.<\/p>\n

They, and many other nations, are looking into ways to bypass the US dollar. Turkey\u2019s President proposed the use of gold instead of the USA dollar to the International Monetary Fund (see Turkey repatriates gold and denounces US dollar dominance<\/a>). The populous and economic powerhouse China has also taken various financial and other steps (watch also US Dollar being challenged by Gold-Petro-Yuan<\/a>). There is also movement towards the Euro. Part of the intent of the Euro was to become the world\u2019s dominant reserve currency. And while it is not ready for that yet, the Europeans still expect that to happen.<\/p>\n

NEW YORK (Reuters) \u2013 China is positioned to be a chief beneficiary of the U.S. decision to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal as it would give China leverage to demand oil imports be priced in yuan, several currency experts said \u2026<\/p>\n

President Donald Trump is preparing to impose new sanctions on Iran \u2026 following the U.S. withdrawal from the multinational 2015 agreement that stalled Iran\u2019s nuclear program.<\/p>\n

The sanctions would aim to limit global trade of the oil producer\u2019s crude. The effects may be muted as major Asian importers, China chief among them, are likely to continue buying Iranian oil.<\/p>\n

China\u2019s Petro-Yuan Contracts on Steady Rise Amid Renewed US Sanctions on Iran<\/h2>\n

Washington\u2019s intention to re-impose the \u201ctoughest\u201d sanctions on Iran appears to be playing into the hands of Chinese investors and oil futures traders, analysts have come to believe.<\/p>\n

Shanghai crude oil futures ISCc1 have recently seen a significant uptick in their trade volumes, which hit a record 250,000 lots last Wednesday, a day after Trump announced the US was withdrawing from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal. The day before, they were noticeably half of that marker, the Chinese oil futures accounted for eight percent of the global market, which after the pullout announcement climbed to 12. https:\/\/sputniknews.com\/asia\/201805151064462135-china-petro-yuan-us-iran\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The eroding of the US dollar\u2019s status in international trade is one of the \u2018unintended consequences\u2019 of various USA sanctions.<\/p>\n

In a sign the currency\u2019s status in international finance is on the rise, and just a few short weeks after China unveiled its Yuan-denominated oil futures contract, the CEO of the London Metal Exchange has confirmed that it is planning to introduce yuan-denominated metal products<\/strong>. \u2026<\/p>\n

The contract is thundering into action,\u201d<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0said Stephen Innes, head of trading for Asia\/Pacific at futures brokerage OANDA in Singapore, as quoted by Reuters.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt makes sense for Iran to begin selling oil under contracts denominated in yuan rather than dollars.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Which could explain why, as The South China Morning Post reports<\/a>, LME CEO Matthew Chamberlain said in an interview in Hong Kong\u2026<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cAt present, investors are trading our products in US dollars. We would definitely like to explore the possibility of launching products denominated in offshore renminbi,\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The LME, owned by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX), already allows traders to use the Chinese currency as collateral. The statement By ripping up\u00a0the Iran nuclear deal on\u00a0May 8 and targeting the Islamic Republic\u2019s energy sector, Donald Trump has unwittingly dealt a blow to\u00a0the US dollar<\/em> reminds me that I warned that there would be \u201cunintended consequences\u201d with some of Donald Trump\u2019s policies.<\/p>\n

While the Bible does NOT show that China or Russia will be the premier trading nations during the Great Tribulation, the Bible does show that gold will have value during that time:<\/p>\n

40 \u201cAt the time of the end\u202643 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver (Daniel 11:40,43)<\/p>\n

14\u2026 And the wealth of all the surrounding nations
\nShall be gathered together:
\nGold, silver, and apparel in great abundance. (Zechariah 14:14)<\/p>\n

There are no similar statements backing up the future value of paper items, like the US dollar or the British pound (scripture, indirectly, teaches their elimination, for details see Anglo \u2013 America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Daniel 11:24 shows that the European leader mentioned in Daniel 11:40-43 (the King of the North<\/a>) will somehow also be accumulating wealth prior to this time, and that may involve gold accumulation (cf. Daniel 11:38). Perhaps to back up a European supported currency, he also may end up with personal and\/or national gold reserves and\/or wealth from the Vatican. The Vatican has a vast amount of wealth and is prophesied to be improperly involved with the kings of the earth in the end times per Revelation 17.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Bible teaches that in the end time, the highly indebted nation will be taken over (Habakkuk 2:2-8)\u2013no nation is more indebted than the USA\u2013and on a per capita basis, the UK is one of the most indebted. They will be taken over and conquered during the Great Tribulation<\/a> (Matthew 24:21; Daniel 11:39; watch also Do these 7 prophesies point to the end of the USA?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Increased USA debt, combined with gold accumulation by various nations, points to economic disaster in the USA\u2019s future (cf. Habakkuk 2:6-8).<\/p>\n

The USA dollar, instead of being the world\u2019s premier currency, will be worth no more than the scrap\/sentimental value of the cotton-paper its notes are printed on.<\/p>\n

We are getting closer to the start of the Great Tribulation (see also When Will the Great Tribulation Begin?<\/a>) and final time of the Gentiles<\/a> that Jesus spoke of (Matthew 24:21; Luke 21:24).<\/p>\n

Gentile nations are taking steps that the Anglo-American nations will one day regret. The ‘day of reckoning’ will hit the USA.<\/p>\n
