(Thursday) begins\u00a0Tu B’Av<\/em>, literally, the 15th day of the month of\u00a0Av<\/em>. This is a special day which was celebrated as a minor holiday in the time of the Holy Temple, and is destined to once again become a day of great rejoicing for Israel. In fact there is a tradition that links this day with the rebuilding of the Holy Temple. …<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u00a0A record number of Jews were said to have visited the Temple Mount on Sunday to mark the\u00a0Tisha B\u2019Av<\/em>\u00a0fast mourning the destruction of the two biblical temples, prompting rebukes from Jordan and the Palestinian Authority.\u00a0 …<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Holy Temple was destroyed 1948 years ago. Throughout history more than one attempt has been made by the dispersed nation of Israel to rebuild the Holy Temple and renew the Divine service. … the anniversary of the destruction of the Holy Temple is not just a time to reflect upon and mourn the loss of the Holy Temple, but also a time to reflect upon the many attempts made by our ancestors to rebuild the Holy Temple, and to dedicate our lives to seeing their dreams and efforts become a reality in our day.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

At this time, I do not believe that the entire nation of Israel has turned on to the idea of building another temple.<\/p>\n

As far as the handwriting on the wall goes, that is a prophecy of conquering and destruction.<\/p>\n

I suspect that many associated with the Temple Institute believe that Donald Trump will be one who will make the ‘third temple’ happen.<\/p>\n

The Temple Institute works closely with the reconstituted Sanhedrin, and that group issued a coin with Donald Trump’s image on it a few months ago (see Sanhedrin releases a Trump-Cyrus \u2018Temple Coin\u2019 and Claims \u2018Third Temple\u2019 needed to avert war<\/a>).<\/p>\n

While Bible prophecy states that the animal sacrifices will be taken away (Daniel 9:27b; 11:31), they have to be started first. That is something those interested in prophecy should look out for.<\/p>\n

As far as another Jewish Temple in Jerusalem goes, let me state that representatives of both the Sanhedrin and Temple Institute told me personally that they did not need a temple in order to sacrifice. Plus, one can see that animal sacrifices took place in the Book of Ezra without their being a temple:<\/p>\n

6 From the first day of the seventh month began they to offer burnt offerings unto the LORD. But the foundation of the temple of the LORD was not yet laid. (Ezra 3:6)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That being said, some in Israel do want another temple, but the entire nation does not support it.<\/p>\n

It is likely that we will see the\u00a0‘Peace Deal’ of Daniel 9:27<\/a> agreed to before there are regular animal sacrifices.<\/p>\n

But an actual large Jewish Temple, like the one that Herod the Great built is not biblically required.<\/p>\n
