COGwriter<\/a><\/p>\n Pope Francis went to Ireland for the last two days of the World Meeting of Families<\/em>.<\/p>\n Before and after getting there, he has been receiving flack for his handling of sex abuse matters in both North and South America.<\/p>\n Here is something from the earlier part of the World Meeting of Families<\/em>:<\/p>\n A session at the World Meeting of Families on safeguarding children and vulnerable adults in the Catholic Church has been told that there is still considerable denial about the extent and nature of clerical sex abuse in many countries. …<\/p>\n Ms Collins – who also worked on the Vatican\u2019s Child Protection Commission – told delegates that Canon Law had been used to protect and not punish offenders.<\/p>\n She said there were still people in the church who believed that the issue of abuse was a media conspiracy, and that survivors were out to destroy the church. …<\/p>\n Ms Collins said that anyone in Vatican who stands in the way of proper protection of children should be held accountable and removed of their titles, or the church if necessary. …<\/p>\n She said she would be suggesting that Pope Francis should make it mandatory for bishops to take action. https:\/\/www.rte.ie\/news\/ireland\/2018\/0824\/987156-world-meeting-of-families\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Now, notice something that CNN<\/em> is reporting:<\/p>\n August 26, 2018<\/p>\n Dublin, Ireland (CNN) <\/cite>A former Vatican ambassador to Washington has called for Pope Francis to resign over his handling of sexual abuse allegations against a prominent cardinal in 2013.<\/p>\n In a statement seen by CNN Sunday, former Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano said he told the Pope about allegations of sexual abuse against high-profile American Cardinal Theodore McCarrick five years ago, but that the Pontiff did nothing about it.<\/p>\n “He [Pope Francis] knew from at least June 23, 2013 that McCarrick was a serial predator,” Vigano said in the lengthy statement dated August 22, adding, “although he knew that he was a corrupt man, he covered him to the bitter end.”<\/p>\n “It was only when he was forced by the report of the abuse of a minor, again on the basis of media attention, that he took action [regarding McCarrick] to save his image in the media,” Vigano continued.<\/p>\n A source close to Vigano confirmed the letter is genuine. CNN has so far not received a response from the Vatican.<\/p>\n Vigano, who retired in 2016 at age 75, called for the Pontiff to resign over his failure to act. “Pope Francis must be the first to set a good example to Cardinals and Bishops who covered up McCarrick’s abuses and resign along with all of them,” he said.<<\/p>\n McCarrick, 88, who once led the Archdiocese of Washington and was a force in American politics, resigned last month<\/a> after a decades-old allegation of sexual abuse of a teenage altar boy. The Pope also ordered McCarrick’s’ suspension from public ministry. https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2018\/08\/26\/europe\/vigano-pope-resignation-sex-abuse-intl\/index.html<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n Catholic news sources, such as the following, are also reporting about this:<\/p>\n In an extraordinary 11-page written testament, a former apostolic nuncio to the United States has accused several senior prelates of complicity in covering up Archbishop Theodore McCarrick\u2019s allegations of sexual abuse, and has claimed that Pope Francis knew about sanctions imposed on then-Cardinal McCarrick by Pope Benedict XVI but chose to repeal them.<\/p>\n Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigan\u00f2, 77, who served as apostolic nuncio in Washington D.C. from 2011 to 2016, said that in the late 2000s, Benedict had \u201cimposed on Cardinal McCarrick sanctions similar to those now imposed on him by Pope Francis\u201d and that Vigan\u00f2 personally told Pope Francis about those sanctions in 2013.<\/p>\n Archbishop Vigan\u00f2 said in his written statement, simultaneously released to the Register and other media, (see full text below) that Pope Francis \u201ccontinued to cover\u201d for McCarrick and not only did he \u201cnot take into account the sanctions that Pope Benedict had imposed on him\u201d but also made McCarrick \u201chis trusted counselor.\u201d Vigan\u00f2 said that the former archbishop of Washington advised the Pope to appoint a number of bishops in the United States, including Cardinals Blase Cupich of Chicago and Joseph Tobin of Newark.<\/p>\n Archbishop Vigan\u00f2, who said his \u201cconscience dictates\u201d that the truth be known as \u201cthe corruption has reached the very top of the Church\u2019s hierarchy,\u201d ended his testimony by calling on Pope Francis and all of those implicated in the cover up of Archbishop McCarrick\u2019s abuse to resign. http:\/\/www.ncregister.com\/daily-news\/ex-nuncio-accuses-pope-francis-of-failing-to-act-on-mccarricks-abuse<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n The link above also has the actual 11 page letter in its original Italian as well as in English.<\/p>\n As reported here earlier this month, there was even a manual in the USA Catholic leaders promoted to try to cover up what was happening with the sex scandals (details are in the post Church of Rome manual on how to cover-up pedophilia issues revealed<\/a>).<\/p>\n Presuming that the allegations against Pope Francis are true, consider that even Roman Catholic approved translations of the Bible show that Pope Francis, who is considered “the Bishop of Rome,” is not meeting several of the required qualifications for being a bishop\/pastor:<\/p>\n 1. FAITHFUL saying. If a man desire a Bishops office, he desireth a good work. 2. It behoveth therefore a Bishop to be irreprehensible<\/strong>, the husband of one wife, sober, wise, comely, chaste, a man of hospitality, a teacher, 3. Not given to wine, no fighter, but modest, no quarreler, not covetous, 4. Well ruling his own house, having his children subject with all charity. 5. But if a man know not to rule his own house: how shall he have care of the Church of God? (1 Timothy 3:1-5, Rheims New Testament<\/em>).<\/p>\n 5. For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest reform the things that are wanting, and shouldst ordain priests by cities, as I also appointed thee: 6. If any be without crime, the husband of one wife, having faithful children, not in the accusations of riot, or not obedient. 7. For a Bishop must be without crime<\/strong>, as the steward of God: not proud, not angry, nor given to wine, no striker, nor covetous of filthy lucre (Titus 1:5-7; Rheims<\/em> New Testament).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Well, Pope Francis is not the husband of one wife and that may be a reason why he is not ruling the Church of Rome well. Covering up the sex scandal by allowing a US bishop to be around for five years after being given evidence is reprehensible. And according to reports from South America (that Pope Francis later apologised for), he did something similar in Latin America as well.<\/p>\n Perhaps it may be of interest to note that last September, 62 Catholic scholars accused Francis of promoting heresy (see 62 scholars correct Pope Francis for \u2018propagating heresies\u2019<\/a>). This sex scandal ‘cover up’ issue would seem to compound his problems.<\/p>\n Interestingly, the Catholics have a couple of prophecies about it facing scandals:<\/p>\n Ven. Holzhauser<\/em> (17th century): The Great Monarch will come when the Latin Church is desolated, humiliated, and afflicted with many heresies (Dupont Y. Catholic Prophecy: The Coming Chastisement. TAN Books, Rockford (IL), 1973, p. 114).<\/p>\n Nicholas of Fluh <\/em>(15th century): The Church will be punished because the majority of her members, high and low, will become so perverted. (Dupont, p. 30)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n We sadly have seen that many perverted have been associated with the Church of Rome. These pedophile and other sex scandals have humiliated the Church of Rome (“the Latin Church”). So, if the first prediction above is correct, then we are very near the time that the “Great Monarch<\/a><\/span>” will rise up.<\/p>\n According to an Eastern Orthodox writer, the \u201cGreat Monarch<\/a><\/span>\u201d is also supposed to rise up during the time there are \u201cvery impious priests\u201d (Tzima Otto, p. 53; see also The Great Monarch: Biblical and Catholic Prophecies<\/a><\/span>)\u2013which would be consistent with the whole sex scandal issue among the Catholic priesthood.<\/p>\n Many may find it of interest to realize that the Great Monarch<\/a><\/span> that various Eastern and Roman Catholic prophecies look forward to seems remarkably similar to the King of the North<\/a> Beast power that the Bible warns against. We are getting closer to the time when that Beast<\/a> will arise.<\/p>\n But irrespective of Catholic prophecies, the revelations about the sex scandals and how the Church of Rome has handled many of them is showing major problems with the Church of Rome.<\/p>\n We will see if Pope Francis resigns as called for, for this or some other reason.<\/p>\n For those who wonder about the Malachy prophecies, consider that since Emeritus Pope Benedict XVI is still alive, that perhaps Francis should not be counted in that list.
