Plus, they are frustrated by his regular insults and put downs. They are scrambling to try to figure out what to do next.<\/p>\n<p>UPDATE 1210 PST. She\u2019d spent the weekend commemorating the end of World War I in Paris alongside more than 60 global leaders and witnessed first hand the tensions between Trump and France\u2019s Emmanuel Macron.<\/p>\n<p>In the French capital she defended her world view against the U.S. president\u2019s barbs as he sparred with Macron. In the EU parliament on Tuesday, she went a step further, telling deputies they need to adapt to a world in which Europe\u2019s traditional allies may no longer guarantee the continent\u2019s security.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe should also work on the vision of one day creating a genuine European army,\u201d Merkel said. \u201cThe times in which we could unconditionally rely on others are over.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/qz.com\/1461905\/german-chancellor-angela-merkel-calls-for-european-army\/\">https:\/\/qz.com\/1461905\/german-chancellor-angela-merkel-calls-for-european-army\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The above shows that Angela Merkel is making it clear that Europe cannot rely on the USA, but must have its own genuine army.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the Europeans want more than an army. They essentially want a resurrected &#8216;Holy Roman Empire.&#8217; Notice that the idea of a European empire has again been flouted by a European leader:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>13 November 2018<\/p>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>NATO\u2019S Secretary-General Jens Stoltenburg &#8230; said the EU and US should work on forming stronger joint security operations rather than pursuing separate agendas. Mr Stoltenburg\u2019s comments come after a public clash of o00pinions between Mr Trump and Mr Macron following the French President\u2019s call for a \u201creal European army\u201d in a broadcast interview. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Mr Macron, however, received one high-profile support for his EU-wide army suggestion in the shape of Russian President Vladimir Putin.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Putin told its state funded broadcaster Russia Today: \u201cEurope is a powerful economic entity, a powerful economic union and it is quite natural that it wants to be independent, self-sufficient and sovereign in matters of defence and security.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And in a move that likely caused fury in Washington, the French President\u2019s finance minister backed a return to European \u201cempire\u201d during a newspaper interview.<\/p>\n<p>Bruno Le Maire suggested Brussels should go one further and establish itself as an \u201cempire\u201d when following up on Mr Macron\u2019s EU army demands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s about Europe having to become a kind of Empire, as China is. Europe cannot be shy any longer about using its power.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Le Maire won\u2019t go as far as to say that German politicians have been two-faced about European unity. But he did set a small deadline: \u201cWe have talked about it for a long time. Now it\u2019s time for decisions. And there will be decisions made on December 4, at the next meeting of the economy and finance ministers. I cannot imagine anything else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverybody knows it takes guts to stand in the way of Donald Trump\u2019s administration,\u201d Le Maire said. \u201cThe people of Europe have had enough of the babble from Brussels. They want to see action.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/global.handelsblatt.com\/politics\/french-finance-minister-need-european-empire-980351\">https:\/\/global.handelsblatt.com\/politics\/french-finance-minister-need-european-empire-980351<\/a><\/p>\n<p>13 November 2018<\/p>\n<p>Bruno Le Maire &#8230;\u00a0 &#8220;Europe should no longer shy away from using its power and being an empire of peace.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He demanded EU countries tell Mr Trump that Europe is a \u201csovereign continent\u201d and should decide who it trades with itself.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want a way to exchange goods and services when financial flows between Iran and Europe are no longer possible,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>His comments sparked fury, with Tory MEP David Campbell Bannerman warning he doubled any EU empire &#8220;would be peaceful&#8221;.<\/p>\n<div class=\"text-description\">\n<p>He said: &#8220;This comment repeats exactly what former EU Commissioner Barosso admitted: the EU is a form of Empire.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Given that we are commemorating the end of the First World War and 17 million lives lost which was started through the clash of Empires: Austro Hungarian, Russian and German, this is deeply inappropriate timing. I doubt the EU Empire would be peaceful, benign or democratic.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Unlike the USA an EU Empire would make the world less safe. Are we now to term Remoaners the new Imperialists?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Former Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, in 2007, said: &#8220;Sometimes I like to compare the EU as a creation to the organisation of empire. Europeans are Not Pleased<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Has or will Donald Trump affect Europe?<\/p>\n<p>Yes.<\/p>\n<p>He will do so in many ways, including several that few consider.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Washington Post<\/em> reported in late 2016 that Donald Trump admired Richard Nixon. It also reported:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Donald Trump appears to have embraced, with gusto, Richard Nixon\u2019s \u201cMadman Theory\u201d of foreign policy.<\/strong> He thinks he can use his reputation for unpredictability and lack of respect for long-standing international norms to unnerve and then intimidate America\u2019s adversaries into making concessions that they would not otherwise make. Washington Post, December 20, 2016)<\/p>\n<p>Donald Trump\u2019s foreign policy statements have unsettled many\u2014in the U.S.A. as well as foreign nations. He seems like he will more unpredictable than Richard Nixon.<\/p>\n<p>There is also something referred to as the \u201claw of unintended consequences.\u201d There are consequences for the U.S.A., Europe, and elsewhere that have and will occur because of Donald Trump\u2019s statements and actions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Many Europeans Do Not Like Donald Trump<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Because of some of them, back in late 2015, Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, former German Defense Minister, called Donald Trump \u201cthat blonde lunatic named Donald.\u201d<sup> (Wish List or Reality? Posted 12\/11\/ 2015)<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>Donald Trump will not \u2018make America great again.\u2019 His rise is dangerous for many reasons, but prophetically, one of them is that his rise has shown the Europeans that the USA is moving in a direction they do not like (cf. Daniel 11:39).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Climate Change <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Donald Trump\u2019s views against the \u2018climate change\u2019 agenda have not pleased the Europeans. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Donald Trump\u2019s view of climate change is expected to set up some type of issue between the USA and Europe. Europe will tend to see the USA as an irresponsible polluter of the planet, while Europe will claim to be the protector that the world needs. \u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trade<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Donald Trump has stated his firm opposition to the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement (TPP). \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Some believe that Donald Trump\u2019s positions on trade will lead to a global trade war that could trigger some type of international war (<sup>Katasonov V. Only One Step Away from a Global Trade War. Strategic Culture Foundation, December 12, 2016<\/sup>). It is my position that trade disputes will be a factor in Europe taking military action against the U.S.A. one day.<\/p>\n<p>Energy and climate policy differences between the Europeans and Donald Trump may increase the negative view many in Europe already have about the USA. \u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>German Concerns About USA and Donald Trump<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some consider that Donald Trump\u2019s rise is a sign that the USA is in decline. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Germans and others see the USA declining. Europe will go in a direction that USA leaders, including its \u2018foreign policy experts,\u2019 do not comprehend (Daniel 11:39; Isaiah 10:5-11).<\/p>\n<p>When my wife and I were in Europe in late 2016, many of the Europeans we spoke to were essentially of the view that the USA is supposed to be the leader of the West, so how could it possibly elect Donald Trump? We were told this by Europeans from countries like Switzerland, Spain, and the Netherlands. European disdain for Donald Trump and how they perceive his leading of the USA is real. \u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>There Will be Consequences<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Donald Trump indicated that Europe needs to pay for more of its defense or the USA should not have to pay for it (<sup>Collinson S. 5 candidates make closing arguments on CNN ahead of Western Tuesday. CNN, March 20, 2016<\/sup>).<\/p>\n<p>Many in the USA do not seem to realize that once Europeans are spending more for their militaries, that they will also expect to have more independence from the USA as to how military might will be used. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Donald Trump has made statements that will help lead to the rise of a European Empire as well as an Islamic confederation. These are to be led by leaders that the Bible refers to as the King of the North and the King of the South respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The rise of Donald Trump should show 21<sup>st<\/sup> century people that the King of the North will be able rise up in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026 prophecies indicate that the \u201cGreat Monarch\/King of the North\u201c will get a \u201cgreat army\u201d (Daniel 11:25; that might increase after the USA is attacked), lead a force that will destroy the United States (Daniel 11:39), and will apparently be assisted by the King of the South (Psalm 83:3-8; Daniel 11:27). Nazarene Books, 2017)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I warned about &#8220;unintended consequences&#8221; in that book about Europe and we are starting to see this happening. The distancing of Europe from the USA is encouraging them to build <strong>their<\/strong> military&#8211;they now have a framework called PESCO, which they agreed to last December barely a year after Donald Trump&#8217;s election (watch <a id=\"video-title\" class=\"yt-simple-endpoint style-scope ytd-grid-video-renderer\" title=\"PESCO and a Great European Army\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CLw3ExHx1hQ\" aria-label=\"PESCO and a Great European Army by BibleNewsProphecy 1 day ago 15 minutes 108 views\">PESCO and a Great European Army<\/a>). Europeans are concluding that they cannot rely on the USA anymore. And this means in matters of not only trade, but defense.<\/p>\n<p>Notice another Donald Trump Twitter message (tweet) from this past Summer):<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">What good is NATO if Germany is paying Russia billions of dollars for gas and energy? Why are there only 5 out of 29 countries that have met their commitment? The U.S. is paying for Europe\u2019s protection, then loses billions on Trade. Must pay 2% of GDP IMMEDIATELY, not by 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Donald J. His hints about impacting US NATO support will not endear him with the Europeans.<\/p>\n<p>Europe will increase military spending. However, that will play into Europe&#8217;s empire and military plans. Few in the USA seem to realize that when Europe gets enough power, the USA will lose all of its. And Donald Trump has been accelerating that!<\/p>\n<p>Despite real unity problems (cf. Daniel 2:41-43), Europe will reorganize:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"style17\">12 \u201cThe ten horns which you saw are <strong>ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet<\/strong>, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.\u00a0 (Revelation 17:12-13)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"style17\">These ten kings have no kingdom, but are to attain one. Thus, this is a type of reorganization in verse 12. What emerges will be the militaristic BEAST empire that the Bible warns against.<\/p>\n<p>Notice what other passages in Revelation and Daniel reveal:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And<strong> I saw a beast rising up out of the sea<\/strong>, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, \u201cWho is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?\u201d (Revelation 13:1-4)<\/p>\n<p>2 Daniel spoke, saying, \u201cI saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up <strong>the Great Sea<\/strong>. 3 And four great <strong>beasts came up from the sea<\/strong>, each different from the other. 4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle\u2019s wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man\u2019s heart was given to it.\u00a0\u00a0 5 \u201cAnd suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: \u2018Arise, devour much flesh!\u2019\u00a0\u00a0 6 \u201cAfter this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.\u00a0 (Daniel 7:2-7)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The final version of the above beast has ten horns (Daniel 7:7) as does the Beast power of Revelation 17:12. This is the Beast of the Sea.<\/p>\n<p>Which sea?<\/p>\n<p>According to the Bible, the \u201cGreat Sea\u201d that bordered the ancient lands of Israel (Joshua 9:1; 23:4; Ezekiel 47:13-16) was the Mediterranean Sea&#8211;and that is the sea that Daniel was referring to.<\/p>\n<p>What will rise up will be a European empire.<\/p>\n<p>The late Pastor General of the old Radio\/Worldwide Church of God, <a href=\"\/herbertwarmstrong.htm\">Herbert W. Armstrong<\/a>, repeatedly warned since 1934 that there would be a coming European Beast empire:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span class=\"m_font_teaser\">Since its inception in 1934, The Plain Truth has consistently warned that an end-time union of &#8230; nations in Europe \u2014 a &#8220;United States of Europe&#8221; \u2014 would rise within the bounds of the old Roman Empire. Now Europe&#8217;s most powerful leaders are appealing to the past as a guide for the future. &#8230; In the June-July 1934 issue of The Plain Truth \u2014 only the fifth issue of the magazine \u2014 Editor Herbert W.
