US President Donald Trump’s White House continues to press for a border wall:<\/p>\n

Mr. Trump appears no closer to securing money for his signature border wall, and Democratic leaders — adamant that they will not authorize money for the project — show no signs of bending, either.<\/p>\n

“We are far apart,” White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told “CBS This Morning”<\/a><\/span> on Friday. She added that\u00a0Mr. Trump<\/a>\u00a0is “willing to negotiate” with Democrats on the $5 billion he is requesting to fund his southern border wall. However, Mr. Trump seems to be shying away from any compromise.<\/p>\n

On Friday, he upped the brinkmanship by threatening anew to\u00a0close the border<\/a><\/span>\u00a0with Mexico if he does not get the funding he wants for his border wall. CBS News has estimated that closing the southern border would cost up to $1 billion a day.\u00a0 …<\/p>\n

Mr. Trump tweeted: “We will be forced to close the Southern Border entirely if the Obstructionist Democrats do not give us the money to finish the Wall & also change the ridiculous immigration laws that our Country is saddled with.” https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/democrats-trump-trade-blame-as-shutdown-enters-second-week\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Walls are effective in keeping out as the nation of Israel has demonstrated in the 21st century. They, however, can also stop people from being able to leave as happened in Europe in the Cold War days of the 20th century.<\/p>\n

Breaking Israel News<\/em> has reported that this wall could help fulfill a biblical prophecy:<\/p>\n

Does Trump\u2019s Border Wall Fulfill Ezekiel 22?<\/h2>\n

President Trump made a campaign promise to build a security wall between the United States and Mexico. This promise, just one among many he made, has become a central issue to the point where the president was willing to endure a government shutdown …<\/p>\n

The issue of border security embodied in Trump\u2019s seems to have struck a chord in the collective subconscious and Rabbi Pinchas Winston<\/a>, a prolific end-of-days author, thinks this reaction is \u201cdivinely inspired,\u201d citing a verse in Psalms.<\/p>\n

This is Hashem\u2018s doing; it is marvelous in our sight. <\/em>Psalms 118:23<\/em><\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cWhatever is made into a big deal in the world clearly has a big aspect of hashgacha pratit<\/i> (divine intervention) no matter where it takes place,\u201d Rabbi Winston told Breaking Israel News<\/i>. \u201cThe fact that the security wall in America is becoming such an issue means that it is a big deal and we need to look at what Hashem (God, literally \u2018the name\u2019) is trying to tell us through it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The rabbi suggested that the concept of a wall has spiritual and conceptual significance. …<\/p>\n

The rabbi also noted how walls were described in the Bible, citing Ezekiel.<\/p>\n

And the people of the land have practiced fraud and committed robbery; they have wronged the poor and needy, have defrauded the stranger without redress.30 \u00a0And I sought a man among them to repair the wall or to stand in the breach before Me in behalf of this land, that I might not destroy it; but I found none. <\/em>Ezekiel 22:29-30<\/em><\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The rabbi suggested that in addition to an actual wall in Jerusalem, Ezekiel may have been referring to an archetypal concept of a wall, walls pertaining to morality that would speak to all of mankind and perhaps to the United States in particular. …<\/p>\n

Rabbi Winston said that the verse in Ezekiel could be understood as referring to the current political conflict in the U.S.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is relevant to say that the message given by Ezekiel to the Jews of his time can be relevant to Donald Trump and America and what is happening right now,\u201d Rabbi Winston said. \u201cI\u2019m not saying that Ezekiel was speaking directly about Donald Trump and his wall, but I think that it is a useful thing to wonder about. While I do NOT believe that the border wall debate is related to Ezekiel 22:29-30, the battle over the ‘wall’ is further dividing the USA.<\/p>\n

Jesus taught:<\/p>\n

25 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)<\/p>\n

17 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls. (Luke 11:17)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There is division in the USA, and it is more than just electoral.\u00a0 Ultimately, the USA will fall.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump has made various statements that many, including Mexican and American citizens, are offended by.<\/p>\n

As I have reported before, Catholic bishops in Mexico have condemned the wall that Donald Trump has wanted to build, and have also stated they would call companies treasonous if they participate in the building of the planned expanded border wall (see Pope pushed ecumenical interfaith agenda with Canadian bishops, while Mexican bishops denounce all who would build the border wall<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Various ones in Mexico have long considered that the USA is an enemy nation. More ‘wall’ construction will perhaps increase that perception.<\/p>\n

Many in Mexico believe that the USA improperly took lands ranging from Texas to California and points in-between. They believe that they are entitled to receive that land back. The Bible teaches that the European<\/a> King of the North<\/a> power will takeover the USA and divide its land for gain (Daniel 11:39)–Mexico will likely end up with at least some of its claimed lands back this century.<\/p>\n

Closing the southern border, which Donald Trump has once again threatened will infuriate Mexico, hurt trade, and affect Mexico’s economy.<\/p>\n

The USA is seriously risking turning Mexico from an ally into an enemy.<\/p>\n

A USA-Mexico border wall, while potentially helpful to reduce illegal immigration, does not fulfill Ezekiel 22:29-30. Nor will it protect the USA from what is going to come (Daniel 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Decades ago, I concluded that Mexico would one-day help the Europeans against the USA. Last decade I warned also about trade issues involving Mexico (watch Trade Wars: Are COG warnings coming to pass?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

That day is getting closer (watch also Might the Great Tribulation start in 2019?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The division in the USA is growing and that will not end well for the USA (Luke 11:17).<\/p>\n
