US President Donald Trump made more statements that have upset various ones in France and other parts of Europe.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t care about Europe,\u201d declared US President Donald Trump … during his White House cabinet\u2019s first meeting of the new year.<\/p>\n

The American president probably revealed more about the true nature of US-European relations than he intended.<\/p>\n

Trump was\u00a0speaking<\/a>\u00a0in the context of American military involvement with Europe, as well as trade and other issues. He was reiterating the tedious mantra that the US is allegedly being \u201ctaken advantage of\u201d by European allies by not spending more on their military budgets. https:\/\/www.strategic-culture.org\/news\/2019\/01\/04\/trump-to-europe-youre-vassals-and-i-dont-care.html<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Forbes<\/em> posted the following:<\/p>\n

Louis Gave, Founding Partner and CEO of Gavekal Research, explains why problems with China may be bad news for Europe at a time when Europe doesn\u2019t need any more challenges (bold is mine).<\/p>\n

” It is no secret that Trump is surrounded by men who want to \u201ctake China down,\u201d who have argued at length that China is a house of cards built on unsustainable credit, and that all the US needs to do is give a gentle nudge for the whole edifice to come crashing down. So far, this talk of China\u2019s vulnerability has proved way off-target. For all of the dire predictions of an imminent debt crisis and financial meltdown, China is still standing very much upright.<\/em><\/p>\n

So, if Trump wants a win, where should he look? If a long cold war of attrition with China doesn\u2019t look promising, perhaps bashing Europe\u2014specifically Europe\u2019s auto industry and lack of defense spending\u2014could prove more attractive, especially as Europe is now politically rudderless and economically slowing.\u00a0<\/em>My bet would be that in the coming weeks, Trump stops speaking about China, and instead starts bashing Europe. And doubtless his favorite targets will be France and Germany<\/em><\/strong>, perhaps as payback for the slights he endured at last month\u2019s commemoration of the World War I armistice. If nothing else, Trump has shown that he is a firm believer in the old adage that revenge is a dish best served cold.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I pay attention when Louis speaks. He often sees events that happen \u201caround the curve.\u201d<\/p>\n

His premise is simple: The automotive industry drives the German economy. Germany, in turn, drives<\/a> the European economy.<\/p>\n

So if Trump decides to follow through on the car tariffs he\u2019s threatened, it could be a serious blow. German auto executives met with him in Washington this week but the threat is still alive.<\/p>\n

Perfect Storm<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the same time, Europe could soon face monetary tightening, hard Brexit, an Italian breakdown, popular unrest not just in France but all over, a trade war and a German\/Italian bank crisis\u00a0all at the same time.<\/p>\n

And this is not a far-off possibility. It could all be happening in the next three or four months.<\/p>\n

If some combination of these crises develops into a perfect storm, the pain won\u2019t stay in Europe. https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/johnmauldin\/2019\/01\/04\/heres-why-trump-could-soon-turn-on-europe\/#7e43b99c609f<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yes, Europe faces challenges. The Europeans do not want to overly rile up Donald Trump, but more and more they feel that Donald Trump has minimized them. Plus, they are frustrated by his regular insults and put downs. They are scrambling to try to figure out what to do next.<\/p>\n

Their plan seems to be to develop their own army (cf. Daniel 11:25; Revelation 13:3-4) and attempt to set standards for the World Trade Organization, while hoping to still export as much as they can to the USA.<\/p>\n

After I wrote that last point, I saw the following in the news today:<\/p>\n

BRUSSELS, Jan 7 (Reuters) – The European Union hailed on Monday a sharp rise in imports of U.S. soya beans and said it could import more, comments likely aimed at winning concessions from President Donald Trump\u2019s administration in this week\u2019s trade talks.<\/p>\n

EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom meets U.S Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer on Tuesday in Washington for talks on opening up their markets, the European Commission said.<\/p>\n

Trump agreed in July not to impose tariffs on EU car imports while the two sides explored ways to boost trade including a possible deal to remove tariffs on non-auto industrial goods. https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2019\/01\/07\/reuters-america-eu-hails-u-s-soya-bean-imports-on-eve-of-renewed-trade-talks.html<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So, Europe is trying to keep its exports going through making some accommodations it hopes Donald Trump can point to as a success.<\/p>\n

Yet, the Europeans want more to keep their exports going. They essentially want a resurrected ‘Holy Roman Empire.’<\/p>\n

As far as the Europe’s plans, Donald Trump, and prophecy go, we put together the following video:<\/p>\n

PESCO and a Great European Army<\/a><\/h3>\n

In November 2018, French President Macron called for a \u201ctrue European army\u201d because of China, Russia, and the USA. Some others in Europe have echoed that sentiment. On November 9, 2018, US President Donald Trump called that an insult, but the next day said that the USA wanted \u201ca very strong Europe.\u201d Emmanuel Macron referred to Donald Trump as \u201cmy friend\u201d and indicated a desire to strengthen Europe\u2019s military spending. In December 2017, 25 European nations agreed to be part of a military alliance called PESCO. Europe also has NATO and IEI. Will Europe end up with \u201ca great army\u201d? Has Donald Trump\u2019s announcement to withdraw from the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty gotten some to say that Europe must rebel against the USA? Is the idea of a United States of Europe and a European army a \u201cparanoid fantasy\u201d or a biblical reality? Will the USA regret Europe becoming a stronger military power? Will the USA be betrayed by \u201cfriends\u201d such as its continental European allies? Does the Bible teach any or all of this? 3. Europeans are Not Pleased<\/strong><\/p>\n

Has or will Donald Trump affect Europe?<\/p>\n

Yes.<\/p>\n

He will do so in many ways, including several that few consider.<\/p>\n

The Washington Post<\/em> reported in late 2016 that Donald Trump admired Richard Nixon. It also reported:<\/p>\n

Donald Trump appears to have embraced, with gusto, Richard Nixon\u2019s \u201cMadman Theory\u201d of foreign policy.<\/strong> He thinks he can use his reputation for unpredictability and lack of respect for long-standing international norms to unnerve and then intimidate America\u2019s adversaries into making concessions that they would not otherwise make. (Hohmann J, Deppisch B. The Daily 202: Donald Trump embraces the risky \u2018Madman Theory\u2019 on foreign policy. Washington Post, December 20, 2016)<\/p>\n

Donald Trump\u2019s foreign policy statements have unsettled many\u2014in the U.S.A. as well as foreign nations. He seems like he will more unpredictable than Richard Nixon.<\/p>\n

There is also something referred to as the \u201claw of unintended consequences.\u201d There are consequences for the U.S.A., Europe, and elsewhere that have and will occur because of Donald Trump\u2019s statements and actions.<\/p>\n

Many Europeans Do Not Like Donald Trump<\/strong><\/p>\n

Because of some of them, back in late 2015, Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, former German Defense Minister, called Donald Trump \u201cthat blonde lunatic named Donald.\u201d (Wish List or Reality? Digital Trends in 2016 | Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg | hub conference. https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dgdZUA96UBU. Posted 12\/11\/ 2015)<\/sup><\/p>\n

Donald Trump will not \u2018make America great again.\u2019 His rise is dangerous for many reasons, but prophetically, one of them is that his rise has shown the Europeans that the USA is moving in a direction they do not like (cf. Daniel 11:39).<\/p>\n

Climate Change <\/strong><\/p>\n

Donald Trump\u2019s views against the \u2018climate change\u2019 agenda have not pleased the Europeans. \u2026<\/p>\n

Donald Trump\u2019s view of climate change is expected to set up some type of issue between the USA and Europe. Europe will tend to see the USA as an irresponsible polluter of the planet, while Europe will claim to be the protector that the world needs. \u2026<\/p>\n

Trade<\/strong><\/p>\n

Donald Trump has stated his firm opposition to the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement (TPP). \u2026<\/p>\n

Some believe that Donald Trump\u2019s positions on trade will lead to a global trade war that could trigger some type of international war (Katasonov V. Only One Step Away from a Global Trade War. Strategic Culture Foundation, December 12, 2016<\/sup>). It is my position that trade disputes will be a factor in Europe taking military action against the U.S.A. one day.<\/p>\n

Energy and climate policy differences between the Europeans and Donald Trump may increase the negative view many in Europe already have about the USA. \u2026<\/p>\n

German Concerns About USA and Donald Trump<\/strong><\/p>\n

Some consider that Donald Trump\u2019s rise is a sign that the USA is in decline. \u2026<\/p>\n

Germans and others see the USA declining. Europe will go in a direction that USA leaders, including its \u2018foreign policy experts,\u2019 do not comprehend (Daniel 11:39; Isaiah 10:5-11).<\/p>\n

When my wife and I were in Europe in late 2016, many of the Europeans we spoke to were essentially of the view that the USA is supposed to be the leader of the West, so how could it possibly elect Donald Trump? We were told this by Europeans from countries like Switzerland, Spain, and the Netherlands. European disdain for Donald Trump and how they perceive his leading of the USA is real. \u2026<\/p>\n

There Will be Consequences<\/strong><\/p>\n

Donald Trump indicated that Europe needs to pay for more of its defense or the USA should not have to pay for it (Collinson S. 5 candidates make closing arguments on CNN ahead of Western Tuesday. CNN, March 20, 2016<\/sup>).<\/p>\n

Many in the USA do not seem to realize that once Europeans are spending more for their militaries, that they will also expect to have more independence from the USA as to how military might will be used. \u2026<\/p>\n

Donald Trump has made statements that will help lead to the rise of a European Empire as well as an Islamic confederation. These are to be led by leaders that the Bible refers to as the King of the North and the King of the South respectively.<\/p>\n

The rise of Donald Trump should show 21st<\/sup> century people that the King of the North will be able rise up in Europe.<\/p>\n

\u2026 prophecies indicate that the \u201cGreat Monarch\/King of the North\u201c will get a \u201cgreat army\u201d (Daniel 11:25; that might increase after the USA is attacked), lead a force that will destroy the United States (Daniel 11:39), and will apparently be assisted by the King of the South (Psalm 83:3-8; Daniel 11:27). (Thiel B. Donald Trump and America\u2019s Apocalypse<\/a>. Nazarene Books, 2017)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I warned about “unintended consequences” in that book about Europe and we are starting to see this happening. The distancing of Europe from the USA is encouraging them to build their<\/strong> military–they now have a framework called PESCO, which they agreed to in December 2017, barely a year after Donald Trump’s election (watch PESCO and a Great European Army<\/a>). Europeans are concluding that they cannot rely on the USA anymore. And this means in matters of not only trade, but defense.<\/p>\n

Despite real unity (cf. Daniel 2:41-43) and economic problems, Europe will reorganize:<\/p>\n

\n

12 \u201cThe ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet<\/strong>, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

These ten kings have no kingdom, but are to attain one. Thus, this is a type of reorganization in verse 12. What emerges will be the militaristic BEAST empire that the Bible warns against.<\/p>\n

Notice what other passages in Revelation and Daniel reveal:<\/p>\n

1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea<\/strong>, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, \u201cWho is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?\u201d (Revelation 13:1-4)<\/p>\n

2 Daniel spoke, saying, \u201cI saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea<\/strong>. 3 And four great beasts came up from the sea<\/strong>, each different from the other. 4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle\u2019s wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man\u2019s heart was given to it. 5 \u201cAnd suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: \u2018Arise, devour much flesh!\u2019 6 \u201cAfter this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it. 7 \u201cAfter this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. (Daniel 7:2-7)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The final version of the above beast has ten horns (Daniel 7:7) as does the Beast power of Revelation 17:12. This is the Beast of the Sea.<\/p>\n

Which sea?<\/p>\n

According to the Bible, the \u201cGreat Sea\u201d that bordered the ancient lands of Israel (Joshua 9:1; 23:4; Ezekiel 47:13-16) was the Mediterranean Sea–and that is the sea that Daniel was referring to.<\/p>\n

What will rise up will be a European empire.<\/p>\n

The late Pastor General of the old Radio\/Worldwide Church of God, Herbert W. Armstrong<\/a>, repeatedly warned since 1934 that there would be a coming European Beast empire:<\/p>\n

Since its inception in 1934, The Plain Truth has consistently warned that an end-time union of … nations in Europe \u2014 a “United States of Europe” \u2014 would rise within the bounds of the old Roman Empire. Now Europe’s most powerful leaders are appealing to the past as a guide for the future. … In the June-July 1934 issue of The Plain Truth \u2014 only the fifth issue of the magazine \u2014 Editor Herbert W. Armstrong wrote, on page 6, that “Scripture prophesies TWO GREAT MILITARY POWERS to arise in the last days \u2014 one the revival of the Roman Empire by a federation of 10 nations in the territory of the ancient Roman Empire; the other, ‘Gog,’ or Russia with her allies….” Mr. Armstrong further stated that “the 17th chapter of Revelation tells us the ancient Roman Empire will once more be revived, this time by a federation (Hogberg G. So now, putting the two accounts of Jesus’ Olivet prophecy together, Matthew 24 and Luke 21, TWO THINGS are to occur, just before the Great Tribulation. 1) There will very soon … in Jerusalem … daily sacrifices once again being offered.
