Years ago, I denounced the view that the ‘blood moons’ of 2014 and 2015 could mean that Jesus would return or that the ‘Day of the Lord’ was about to start. This was something that Mark Biltz (who practices Messianic Judaism<\/a>) started promoting back in 2008–but he was wrong.<\/p>\n

Now let’s look at two news articles related to the next blood moon from Breaking Israel News<\/em> (BIN) and then World News Daily<\/em> (WND):<\/p>\n

On the night of January 20, a super blood moon will pass over Washington D.C. Sunset that evening will also mark the beginning of the Jewish holiday of Tu B\u2019Shevat, the fifteenth day of the Hebrew month of Shevat, also known as the New Year of the tree. Significantly, the day will also mark the halfway point of Donald Trump\u2019s presidency, precisely two years since he was sworn into office. …<\/p>\n

This astronomical phenomenon is described by the Prophet Joel as preceding the final days of judgment.<\/p>\n

Before the great and terrible day of Hashem comes, I will set portents in the sky and on earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke; The sun shall turn into darkness And the moon into blood. But everyone who invokes the name of Hashem shall escape; for there shall be a remnant on Mount Tzion<\/a> and in Yerushalayim<\/a>, as Hashem promised. Anyone who invokes Hashem will be among the survivors. Joel 3:3-5<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Rabbi Yekutiel Fish<\/a>, known in Israel as the author of the Torah blog \u201cSod Ha\u2019Chashmal\u201d said, \u201cEvery aspect of our lives are from Hashem (God, literally \u2018the name\u2019) but sometimes it is more obvious than others,\u201d Rabbi Fish told Breaking Israel News.<\/i> \u201cWhen nature does something unusual, like an eclipse, we should certainly pay heed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rabbi Fish verified the connection between Tu B\u2019Shevat and the blood moon, explaining the special significance for the moon in Kabbalistic<\/a> (Jewish mystical) terms.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe moon represents the feminine,\u201d Rabbi Fish explained to Breaking Israel News<\/i>. \u201cThe masculine, known in Kabbalah as \u2018Yesod,\u2019<\/i> is usually represented by the sun.\u201d …<\/p>\n

The rabbi noted, however, that this upcoming lunar eclipse will not be visible in Israel.<\/p>\n

\u201cNonetheless, the lunar eclipse over North America bears a message for the U.S. and the Jews,\u201d Rabbi Fish told Breaking Israel News<\/i>. \u201cIt clearly is telling the Jews that they need to come to Israel.\u201d 01\/14\/19 https:\/\/www.breakingisraelnews.com\/120272\/blood-moon-d-c-message-america\/<\/a><\/p>\n

Blood moons long have been associated with significant events for the nation of Israel, and the coming event is known as a \u201csuper blood wolf moon eclipse\u201d because it will be a total lunar eclipse for parts of North America at a time when the full moon is at the closet point of its orbit to the Earth.<\/a><\/p>\n

It also is the first such event in January. …<\/p>\n

Now according to a report from Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz in Breaking Israel News,<\/a> Rabbi Yekutial Fish said, \u201cWhen nature does something unusual, like an eclipse, we should certainly pay heed.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cNonetheless, the lunar eclipse over North America bears a message for the U.S. and the Jews. It clearly is telling the Jews that they need to come to Israel.<\/p>\n

\n

WND reported <\/a> Pastor Mark Biltz, the man who discovered that such events historically have been accompanied by significant developments for the nation of Israel, is keeping an eye on the next lunar eclipse.<\/a><\/p>\n

Biltz bases his celestial observations on Genesis 1:14, which says the heavenly bodies serve \u201cas signs to mark sacred times.\u201d He explains his findings in his book \u201cBlood Moons,\u201d<\/a> which draws from earlier works, \u201cGod\u2019s Day Timer\u201d and \u201cThe Feasts of the Lord.\u201d<\/p>\n

He noted that the 2014 and 2015 blood moons fell on Jewish holidays.<\/p>\n

The eclipse this month, he said, \u201cjust so happens\u201d to be on the date of President Trump\u2019s inauguration two years ago.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cTrump was born on the night of June 14, 1946, within 15 minutes of a total lunar eclipse and 700 days before the state of Israel was established. When he was sworn in as president on January 20, 2017, he was 70-years-old, seven months and seven days. Also, very significantly, the Super Blood Moon also falls on the Jewish holiday of Tu B\u2019Shevat. Even more significant is the fact that there was another Blood Moon on Tu B\u2019Shevat last year! Last year the blood moon was seen over the Middle East and this year will be seen over the U.S.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biltz said that from a biblical standpoint, having two blood moons on the same biblical holiday two years in a row is very significant.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Bible says that everything is to be established by two or three witnesses,\u201d he said. \u201cAs a matter of fact the Bible says in Psalms 89 that God\u2019s covenant with Israel and King David is forever and the sun and the moon are to be His faithful witnesses in heaven confirming that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Two articles, both wrong.<\/p>\n

This next blood moon is simply a natural phenomena. Donald Trump’s birthday and inauguration date are not relevant.<\/p>\n

Actually, the quote from Joel 3:3-5 in BIN is, however, as it PROVES that the next blood moon is not of biblical significance.<\/p>\n

Why?<\/p>\n

Because the “great and terrible day of Hashem” (otherwise known as the “day of the Lord”) cannot start for at least six years (see When Will the Great Tribulation Begin? 2019, 2020, or 2021?<\/a> ).<\/p>\n

Hence next week’s super wolf blood moon is NOT related to Joel 3. Nor are the other ones expected for this year.<\/p>\n

While BIN and WND sometimes have useful information, much of their prophetic speculation has been in error.<\/p>\n

WND has long promoted Mark Biltz. Here is something it posted related to him and blood moons last year:<\/p>\n

As if the total solar eclipse last August<\/a> and the \u201cblood moons\u201d of 2014 and 2015 <\/a> weren\u2019t enough, there will be a \u201csuper blue blood moon eclipse\u201d on Jan. 31 \u2013 something that hasn\u2019t happened for 150 years.<\/p>\n

And this rare event could herald war and turbulence on earth, according to a leading researcher of astronomical signs and how they interact with Scripture.<\/p>\n

Rather than just looking skyward, Pastor Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries, the man who discovered the \u201cBlood Moons\u201d phenomenon<\/a>, says people need to be looking to their Bibles.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany people seem to be overlooking the real importance of this event,\u201d Biltz told WND. \u201cThe \u2018super moon\u2019 which takes place on January 31 is what is termed a \u2018blue moon,\u2019 because it is the second full moon in one month. It\u2019s also going to be a total lunar eclipse, making it a \u2018blood moon\u2019 as well. This is the first time there\u2019s been a total eclipse for a blue moon in 150 years, which makes it remarkable enough.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut what makes this truly mind blowing is when this will happen biblically! The eclipse will take place on Tu B\u2019Shevat on the biblical calendar, the fifteenth day of the month of Shevat. This is important because this upcoming eclipse is only one of a series. The next one is on July 27, which is Tu B\u2019Av or the fifteenth of Av on the biblical calendar. The next one is January 21, 2019 \u2013 which just so happens to be Tu B\u2019Shevat again!\u201d<\/p>\n

Biltz, author of \u201cGod\u2019s Day Timer,\u201d<\/a> stresses he is not saying anything will happen on Jan. 31, the date of this blood moon. However, he argues the specific dates involved show God is sending an important message.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are very significant biblical dates, and now we have two blood red moons bookending each other in 2018 and 2019 on Tu B\u2019Shevat,\u201d he said. \u201cThis is fascinating prophetically because there is a section of Scripture in which Zechariah receives a revelation of a red horse being given a great sword to take peace from the Earth. And this takes place in the month of Shevat!\u201d<\/p>\n

The relevant section of the Bible, Zechariah 1: 7-8, reads:<\/p>\n

Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lordunto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,<\/p>\n

I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cNot surprisingly, Zechariah asks what this is all about, and he receives some incredible insight from an angel who is nearby,\u201d Biltz explained. In verse 12, we are told, \u201cThen the angel of the Lord answered and said, O Lord of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?\u201d<\/p>\n

Biltz argues this message is of key importance for people alive today.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you see the amazing pattern?\u201d he asked. \u201cThe vision of the horses are of the four horses from Revelation. And this vision takes place at the end of a 70-year period (three score and ten) which is given to Israel. Israel is now celebrating its seventieth anniversary.\u201d <\/a><\/p>\n

He also argues the mention of the \u201csecond year of Darius\u201d is also of critical importance, as the second year of President Trump\u2019s administration approaches.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

That was wrong.<\/p>\n

Yet once again, Mark Biltz and WND are promoting blood moon nonsense. God is NOT sending some special message with a recurring natural phenomena.<\/p>\n

Mark Biltz and WND also promoted falsehoods related to the eclipse of August 21, 2017 (see \u2018Blood moon\u2019 Mark Biltz claims massive eclipse a sign of God<\/a> and Mark Biltz on the approaching Asteroid Apophis and the August 21, 2017 solar eclipse<\/a>).<\/p>\n

As far as prophecies and Donald Trump’s presidency goes, here is a link to our video which shows world events have been confirming at least 18 things I wrote about based upon my knowledge of biblical prophecies and geopolitics: Donald Trump’s Prophetic Presidency<\/a>. But WND does not promote that.<\/p>\n

Both Mark Biltz and WND’s founder Joseph Farah consider themselves to be ‘Messianic Jews.’ While this means that they will avoid biblically unclean meats<\/a>, keep the Sabbath<\/a>, observe the biblical holy days<\/a>, and hold to parts of a few Church of God doctrines, the Messianics are NOT Church of God Christians (see also Messianic Judaism Beliefs Differ from the Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a>). Like the Seventh-day Adventists<\/a>, the Messianics are basically a type of Protestant<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n

WND promotes him, but Mark Biltz has repeatedly been wrong. He misled many about the \u201cblood moons\u201d (see also WND continues to promote Mark Biltz\u2019 blood moon nonsense<\/a>) and about the 2017 solar eclipse supposedly being a sign from God.<\/p>\n

The Bible teaches:<\/p>\n

2 The LORD says, \u201cDo not start following pagan religious practices. Do not be in awe of signs that occur in the sky even though the nations hold them in awe. 3 For the religion of these people is worthless. They cut down a tree in the forest, and a craftsman makes it into an idol with his tools. 4 He decorates it with overlays of silver and gold. He uses hammer and nails to fasten it together so that it will not fall over. (Jeremiah 10:2-4, NET Bible)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Mark Biltz is once again trying to tell people to be in awe of something that does not have prophetic significance. Do not be like the pagans and read things into astronomical phenomena that people like Mark Biltz are pushing. How he twists scriptures (cf. 2 Peter 3:16) and connects things while overlooking what the Bible teaches reminds me a lot of the late Harold Camping, whose detailed calculations and predictions were later proven wrong (see Harold Camping\u2019s Teachings About the End of the World Do Not Agree with the Bible<\/a>).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

So, before the ‘super blood moon” occurs, I again want to inform people that this eclipse is a natural phenomenon and not anything that is a direct message from God like Mark Biltz implies.<\/p>\n

Nor is it a sign from God that Jews are to return to Israel.<\/p>\n

Because there are many false and heretical leaders that lead people astray on prophecy and sometimes they mention the Bible to try to act like God sanctions their nonsense, they should be denounced as false.<\/p>\n

All should REALLY pay attention to the Bible.<\/p>\n

We in the Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a> \u201chave also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts\u201d (2 Peter 1:19, KJV).\u201d<\/p>\n

Thus, you can be certain that the upcoming ‘super blood moon’ is not a message from God.<\/p>\n
