They are transforming the Internet into the greatest tool of surveillance that humanity has ever seen, and if we stay on the road that we are currently on it is only a matter of time until our society becomes a hellish dystopian nightmare. I wish that this was an exaggeration, but it isn\u2019t.Over the past couple of decades, the Internet has completely changed the way that we all communicate with one another. At one time, all forms of mass communication were tightly controlled by the elite, but the Internet suddenly allowed us to communicate with one another on a massive scale without having to go through their gatekeepers. This radically altered the landscape, and at first the elite were unsure of how to respond to this growing threat. There was no way that they could roll back time to an era before the Internet was invented, and so they have decided to use it for their own insidious purposes instead.<\/p>\n

Today, the Internet has become the centerpiece of their \u201cBig Brother surveillance grid\u201d, and they are gathering information on all of us on a scale that has never been seen before in all of human history. But of course it was never going to stop there.<\/p>\n

In China they call it a \u201csocial credit score\u201d, but in reality it is nightmarish authoritarianism at its worst.<\/p>\n

They are monitoring all that their citizens do and think \u2013 their political opinions, their shopping patterns, their travel history, their Internet behavior, etc. \u2013 and if they upset \u201cthe Beast system\u201d then they could ultimately lose access to everything.<\/p>\n

Put yourself in their shoes for a moment.<\/p>\n

Just imagine a world in which you will no longer be able to buy, sell, open a bank account, get a loan, use public transportation or get a job.<\/p>\n

Chinese authorities are even putting up surveillance cameras in the schools so that they can constantly monitor students<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n

While not yet as advanced as what the Chinese have done, our own version of \u201cthe Beast system\u201d is expanding with each passing day.<\/p>\n

If you use the Internet, the technocratic elite know virtually everything about you.\u00a0 And as we have seen so frequently in recent months, they also have the power to \u201cdeplatform\u201d those that they do not like<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n

One wrong opinion, and you can lose a social media account that you spent years building up. And one wrong statement can cost you a career that you spent years training for.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, we are heading down the exact same path that China has gone. China surveillance firm tracking millions in Xinjiang: researcher<\/h2>\n

BEIJING (Reuters) – A Chinese surveillance firm is tracking the movements of more than 2.5 million people in the far-western Xinjiang region, according to a data leak flagged by a Dutch internet expert.<\/p>\n

An online database containing names, ID card numbers, birth dates and location data was left unprotected for months by Shenzhen-based facial-recognition technology company SenseNets Technology Ltd, according to Victor Gevers, co-founder of non-profit organization GDI.Foundation, who first noted the vulnerability in a series of social media posts last week. …<\/p>\n

According to its website, SenseNets works with China\u2019s police across several cities. Its Shenzhen-listed parent company NetPosa Technologies Ltd has offices in a majority of Chinese provinces and regions, including Xinjiang.<\/p>\n

Exposed data also showed about 6.7 million location data points linked to the people which were gathered within 24 hours, tagged with descriptions such as \u201cmosque\u201d, \u201chotel,\u201d \u201cinternet cafe\u201d and other places where surveillance cameras were likely to be found. 02\/17\/19 https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-china-xinjiang-cyber\/china-surveillance-firm-tracking-millions-in-xinjiang-researcher-idUSKCN1Q60CG<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So, that is China.<\/p>\n

But could it happen also in the West?<\/p>\n

Certainly.<\/p>\n

Consider the following from the Washington Post<\/em>:<\/p>\n

More border surveillance tech could be worse for human rights than a wall<\/h2>\n

President Trump wants a border wall \u2014 a symbolic monument to xenophobia and hate. But Democrats\u2019 counterproposal could be even more dangerous for human rights. …<\/p>\n

Democratic appropriators appear ready to spend<\/a> hundreds of millions of dollars on \u201cnew cutting edge technology along the border to improve situational awareness.\u201d If this sounds a bit dystopian, that is because it is. Lawmakers are not just proposing more cameras at ports of entry \u2014 they are pushing for the federal government to spend enormous amounts of money on technologies that can be used to trample human rights at an unprecedented scale.<\/p>\n

Entering talks, Democrats supported more funding for the Border Patrol\u2019s \u201cair and marine operations\u201d \u2014 which technology experts say<\/a> is probably code for expanding U.S. Customs and Border Protection\u2019s fleet of drones. The CBP already has the largest such fleet outside of the Defense Department and frequently \u201cshares<\/a>\u201d its aircraft with law enforcement.<\/p>\n

Under current policies, video feeds and other data from those flights can be stored indefinitely in massive databases and shared with hundreds of government agencies and local police. We should be cautious about expanding these drone capabilities because technology originally deployed at the border or in war zones does not tend to stay there. Too often, it later gets used against marginalized populations or political dissidents: An aerial surveillance system explicitly designed for military use in Iraq was later used to watch the residents of Baltimore<\/a>, for example, and police in the San Francisco Bay area were caught<\/a> using drones to spy on peaceful protesters in 2017. …<\/p>\n

Democrats have also called for<\/a> \u201can expansion of risk-based targeting,\u201d which means increasing the use of artificial intelligence software to determine which travelers should be detained and subjected to invasive screening, interrogation or incarceration. Numerous civil rights groups<\/a> have spoken out<\/a> about the dangers of using this type of technology in law enforcement: Artificial intelligence programs \u2014 created by humans, with human biases \u2014 frequently exhibit<\/a> racial bias and can exacerbate existing forms of systemic discrimination. …<\/p>\n

The request is actually in the French language on an EU website. Here is the original French, followed by a machine translation into the English language:<\/p>\n

EU budget: Commission proposes \u20ac 9.2 billion investment in first-ever European digital program<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Artificial Intelligence and Prophecy<\/a><\/h3>\n

Billionaire Elon Musk declared he was worried that artificial intelligence (AI) may lead to the rise of an “immortal dictator,” a “godlike” entity that could take over the world. Is this accurate, or at least, close in some ways? Does Bible prophecy foretell of the rise of an immoral leader who considers himself above all gods? Will this result in great destruction? What is AI? How might it fit in with various prophecies? Was the increase of technological knowledge we now have prophesied over 2000 years ago? Will 666 control over buying and selling involve any form of AI? Dr. Thiel goes over many scriptures, including prophetic ones, that involve human knowledge–which is the basis of AI. He also points out that when various prophesies were made, there was no technology capable of fulfilling them, but that because of computers, such ability exists now. Dr. Thiel also points out what Jesus will do about it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

As far as a ‘surveillance police state’ goes, this is something that Church of God writers have expected for some time.<\/p>\n

Decades ago, an article titled ENTERING THE AGE OF TERROR<\/span><\/em> in the old Plain Truth magazine in June 1977 said that as a response to terrorism we may see “that the inevitable result would be a repressive, authoritarian police state and the loss of civil liberties.” This has been occurring.<\/span><\/p>\n

Notice also the following:<\/p>\n

Numerous world-famous scientists and economists see a stern picture of the future. … they see, and tell us humanity’s one great problem, now, is the QUESTION OF SURVIVAL. …<\/p>\n

Many scientists and world leaders … say the solution now demands a WORLD GOVERNMENT. There is one thing wrong with this solution. That world supergovernment would have to be given the power of a world police force to enforce its laws, and it would have to maintain the ONLY military force in the world\u2014all nations would have to surrender their armies, navies and air forces to this one SUPERSTATE. In a word, every nation would have to surrender its national sovereignty absolutely. And WHAT MAN could be accepted by all as WORLD RULER? It would, mind you, be a world POLICE STATE. (Armstrong HW. What Is Now Prophesied! Plain Truth, March 1980)<\/p>\n

World government … totalitarian state of the worst magnitude. As the Wall Street Journal put it some years ago: “It follows that for a world government to be effective, it would have to possess powers of compulsion undreamed-of in history’s worst nightmares …. No matter who were the magistrates of the world-state, they would have to trample on so many national and individual aspirations and attitudes, would have to deploy such an army of enforcers, that the most probable upshot would be a police-state on a colossal scale …” (Wall Street Journal editorials, November 14, 1963 and September 14, 1965).<\/p>\n

Obviously man’s approach to the question of peace leaves much to be desired. Nothing in his limited repertoire of feeble solutions has even come close to addressing the fundamental causes of the world’s continuous wars. Millennia ago, the prophets of Israel saw the same failing in the people of their day. Jeremiah wrote: “They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace” (Jer. 6:14). Isaiah was even more emphatic: “The way of peace they know not” (Isa. 59:8). (4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse – The Red Horse – War. WCG booklet, 1975)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\n

A surveillance police state is coming.<\/p>\n

And now, the technology exists.<\/p>\n

The end result will be bad.<\/p>\n

As I have written in the past, it will arise in Europe. Europe will get together because of fear, economic factors, and a distrust of the US for military protection and other reasons. Now, the Europeans and Americans are proposing spending billions to get there.<\/p>\n

Notice the following from the Bible:<\/p>\n

1 Hear my voice, O God, in my meditation;
\nPreserve my life from fear of the enemy.
\n2 Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked,
\nFrom the rebellion of the workers of iniquity,
\n3 Who sharpen their tongue like a sword,
\nAnd bend their bows to shoot their arrows \u2014 bitter words,
\n4 That they may shoot in secret at the blameless;
\nSuddenly they shoot at him and do not fear.<\/p>\n

5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter;
\nThey talk of laying snares secretly;
\nThey say, “Who will see them?”
\n6 They devise iniquities:
\n“We have perfected a shrewd scheme.”
\nBoth the inward thought and the heart of man are deep. (Psalms 64:1-6)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And while you might think that if you have done nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear from surveillance, consider that many in the government of the USA consider that not supporting homosexual marriages<\/a>, etc. are extremist. I also saw someone once on a documentary that stated that people who believed in the millennium<\/a> could not be trusted and should be considered as potential terrorists.\u00a0 The fact that we in the Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a> would be considered pacifists<\/a>, does not change the fact that since we hold to millennial and other biblical views that we will not be improperly classified by government employees with various agendas.<\/p>\n

Having biblical views are becoming more problematic in the USA, as well as in Canada, and in Europe.<\/p>\n

Notice also the following prophecy:<\/p>\n

13 Therefore the prudent keep silent at that time, For it is an evil time.\u00a0 (Amos 5:13)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The above indicates that even those that are doing nothing wrong will need to be silent at the coming evil time.<\/p>\n

Somewhat beyond that, Bible prophecy further warns about a power that will have a tremendous amount of control and even understand secret\/hidden things:<\/p>\n

15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.<\/p>\n

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:15-18, NKJV)<\/p>\n

23 \u2018And in the latter end of their kingdom, about the perfecting of the transgressors, stand up doth a king, fierce of face, and understanding hidden things; (Daniel 8:23, Young\u2019s Literal Translation)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It will likely take computers aided with artificial intelligence to aid in the fulfillment of the above scriptures, as well as cyber-spying\/monitoring.<\/p>\n

The world in general, and Europe in particular is moving more and more towards becoming a totalitarian state.<\/p>\n

It is likely that, although the USA is NEITHER the Beast of the Sea nor the Beast of the Earth in Revelation 13, some in the USA are already helping Europe to get to the point of fulfilling surveillance and authoritarian prophecies (more of this in the future is hinted at in Daniel 11:28-30; see also Preparing for the ‘Short Work’ and The Famine of the Word<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The USA is also moving towards being a totalitarian state.<\/p>\n

And, that will not end up helping the USA as that European state will turn against it per Daniel 11:39 (see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses<\/a>).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\nInternet Control, Famine of the Word, and 666<\/a> On October 1, 2016, the USA officially relinquished control over the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), despite objections from certain political leaders and former military officials.
