Every great civilization throughout human history has eventually collapsed, and if we want to have any hope of escaping the same fate, we need to be willing to learn some lessons from the past.\u00a0 Because many of the same factors that caused the collapse of previous civilizations are weighing very heavily on the United States of America today.\u00a0 According to the BBC<\/a>, the average lifespan of a great civilization is 336 years from beginning to end.\u00a0 But that doesn\u2019t mean that America will make it that long.\u00a0 Our nation is currently 242 years old, and there are signs of advanced social decay all around us.\u00a0 If we remain on the road that we are currently on, there are many that believe that complete and utter collapse is not too far away. …<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We have the biggest government in the history of the world, and when you total up all levels of government we literally have millions of laws, rules and regulations governing our lives today. It is a horrible system, and it is definitely not what our founders intended. To me, it makes sense that someday it could ultimately collapse as people simply stop believing in it.<\/p>\n

In order for a civilization to function smoothly, there must be something that bonds it together. When the United States was originally established, we were united by a common set of values, but that is no longer true.<\/p>\n

Today, America is more divided than it has been in my entire lifetime, and one of the biggest reasons is because there is no agreement about what our values should be. …<\/p>\n

We truly are becoming a real-life version of \u201cIdiocracy\u201d<\/a>, and it is getting worse with each passing day. …<\/p>\n

If we will change our ways and return to the values that the first Americans embraced, we could turn things around.<\/p>\n

But if we continue doing the things that we are currently doing, collapse is inevitable.<\/p>\n

And it can happen very quickly.\u00a0 In 390 AD, the Roman Empire covered nearly 2 million square miles<\/a> and it seemed unstoppable.<\/p>\n

But by 476 AD it was gone.<\/p>\n

As many have said, if we do not learn from history we are doomed to repeat it.<\/p>\n

Speaking of earlier American values, early Americans would not have supported abortion or the type of infanticide laws that more in states are now pushing (see US leaders endorsing infanticide<\/span><\/a>). Nor the LGBTQ agenda. Nor the pornographic industry.<\/p>\n

Nor support for massive debt (cf. Habakkuk 2:6-8).<\/p>\n

Plus, those values were against the type of “political correctness” speech that the mainstream media and most in academia and many in government now promote.<\/p>\n

25 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)<\/p>\n

Abraham Lincoln cited one of these scriptures in a famous speech he gave prior to becoming USA president.\u00a0 The American civil war began not too long afterwards.<\/p>\n

There is division in the USA\u2013the truth should be important to all.<\/p>\n

Jesus<\/a> also taught:<\/p>\n

29 They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of God. (Luke 13:29, NKJV throughout unless otherwise indicated)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

So, the Bible tells of people from all around the world, including those from “the west” to be in the coming Kingdom of God<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Students of Bible prophecy are aware that the the Bible talks about end-time kings of the North<\/a> (Daniel 11:40), South<\/a> (Daniel 11:40), and East<\/a> (Revelation 16:12).<\/p>\n

The current “King of the West<\/a>” would be the USA.<\/p>\n
