BRUSSELS (Reuters) – <\/span>National leaders of the European Union are likely to meet for a summit in Brussels on May 28, two days after a European Parliament election, to discuss who should run the EU executive for the next five years, officials said on Friday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The meeting, similar to one held after the previous vote in 2014, would give leaders a chance to discuss their preferences for who will succeed Jean-Claude Juncker as president of the European Commission, three senior EU officials told Reuters.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Parliament, which will convene on July 2 after being elected on May 23-26, is pushing the European Council of national leaders to nominate Juncker’s successor from among the lead candidates of winning parties. But many national leaders are reluctant to accept this so-called Spitzenkandidat process. https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/news\/world\/articles\/2019-05-03\/eu-leaders-set-to-meet-just-after-eu-election-officials<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The EU has two presidents–the President of the European Commission (currently Jean-Claude Juncker) and the President of the European Council (currently Donald Tusk).<\/p>\n

Some pro-EU leaders would like to eliminate the European Council as they believe it gives too much power to the national governments and not enough to the EU itself:<\/p>\n

Pro-European candidates for EU election identify Council as the \u2018common enemy\u2019<\/h2>\n

An oddly uncontroversial debate between the lead candidates of the four major pro-European political families at this month\u2019s EU elections took place in Florence on Thursday (2 May).<\/p>\n

Frans Timmermans for the Party of European Socialists (PES), Manfred Weber for the centre-right European Peoples Party (EPP), Guy Verhofstadt for the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE), and Ska Keller for the Greens were the only participants to the debate, organised by the European University Institute and the Financial Times newspaper.<\/p>\n

No eurosceptic or anti-EU party took part, although all lead candidates of the main European political parties were invited, the organisers said.<\/p>\n

Verhofstadt said he was not exactly a \u201cSpitzenkandidat\u201d because he is one of the nine members of the \u201cTeam Europe\u201d selected by his liberal family to lead the election campaign. Besides, the former Belgian Prime Minister said he represents a political party which will be reshaped after the EU elections, after its expected merger with Emmanuel Macron\u2019s Renaissance movement.\u00a0 …<\/p>\n

All candidates agreed more powers had to be transferred to the European Commission and Parliament, and less to the Council, where member states are represented.<\/p>\n

“A new treaty is needed with clearer sanctions for members who run up debts, punishments for countries that wave through illegal migrants without registering them, as well as tough consequences for breaches of the rule of law and liberal democracy,” Kurz said in an interview with Austrian newspapers.<\/p>\n

Pope Francis said that nation states should give way to globalization in some aspects, calling on them to create “intergovernmental institutions that manage their common interests.”<\/p>\n

So, the Vatican supports the idea of the EU becoming a superstate–though some European leaders oppose that concept.<\/p>\n

So, what will happen?<\/p>\n

A church-state alliance will form:<\/p>\n

The great city of seven hills is the Church of Rome. There will be an alliance, and some have publicly called for it.<\/p>\n

But isn’t the leadership within the EU very divided?<\/p>\n

Yes, it is.<\/p>\n

But that type of situation was prophesied as the Bible shows that the final European Beast power will have unity problems, but will still exist for a time:<\/p>\n

41 Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter\u2019s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. 43 As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay. (Daniel 2:41-43)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But don’t some of the political leaders act like the EU should be eliminated?<\/p>\n

Yes, but consider also the following:<\/p>\n

3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, \u201cWho is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?\u201d (Revelation 13:3-4)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The above shows that a Europe that the world did not expect will end up being at least successful militarily.<\/p>\n

Will Europe be a democracy or a totalitarian state like some fear?<\/p>\n

Here is some more of what the Bible prophesies:<\/p>\n

12 \u201cThe ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet<\/strong>, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast<\/strong>. (Revelation 17:12-13)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A reorganization is coming to Europe (See also Must the Ten Kings of Revelation 17:12 Rule over Ten Currently Existing Nations?<\/a>)<\/p>\n

It will NOT be the election in May 2019, but the stage is getting more and more set for the coming reorganization.<\/p>\n

The second reorganization in Revelation 17 is where power is turned over to a totalitarian dictator.<\/p>\n

Boris Johnson, the former Mayor of London, stated that the European Union wanted to be what Adolf Hitler and Napoleon Bonaparte tried to create. Duncan Smith agreed. But European Council President Donald Tusk called Johnson\u2019s comments absurd and then stated that the EU was the answer to the problems facing Europe. But what does the Bible teach about the future of Europe? Is European unity the answer or will it usher in something worse than Adolph Hitler? Dr. Thiel quotes Jesus and others in the Bible for those who truly want to know what will happen in a unified Europe.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Bible shows that there will be a non-Islamic, non-Christian, leader who will demand worship in Europe:<\/p>\n

While the above leader will temporarily feign something he will claim is Catholicism as well as some interfaith tolerance, he will ultimately NOT tolerate full Islam in his land. And even though he will be supported by a heretic from the Vatican, his people will turn against the city of seven hills per Revelation 17:16-18. This Beast leader will reign during the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21-22).<\/p>\n

In the Book of Daniel, this Beast of the Sea leader is also referred to as the “king of the north<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

Here is something about him from the New Jerusalem Bible (a Roman Catholic accepted translation):<\/p>\n

<\/a>40<\/sup> ‘When the time comes for the End, the king of the south will try conclusions with him; but the king of the north will come storming down on him with chariots, cavalry, and a large fleet. He will invade countries, overrun them and drive on.<\/p>\n

<\/a>41<\/sup> He will invade the Land of Splendour, and many will fall; but Edom, Moab, and what remains of the sons of Ammon will escape him.<\/p>\n

<\/a>42<\/sup> ‘He will reach out to attack countries: Egypt will not escape him.<\/p>\n

<\/a>43<\/sup> The gold and silver treasures and all the valuables of Egypt will lie in his power. Libyans and Cushites will be at his feet: (Daniel 11:40-43)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The lands that the coming\u00a0King of the North<\/a> will take over are predominantly Islamic.<\/p>\n

So, what some of the anti-EU groups want with Islam will happen, but what they fear about Europe becoming a totalitarian superstate will happen as well.<\/p>\n

Sadly, this leader seems to be looked forward to in various Catholic writings (watch also Great Monarch in 50+ Beast Prophecies<\/a>).<\/p>\n

But it will not happen as most now hope.<\/p>\n

Europe continues to take steps that are preparing it to come under control of the Beasts of Revelation 13.<\/p>\n

The elections later this month will further help set the stage for this.<\/p>\n
