Saudi Arabia says 2 oil tankers damaged by sabotage attacks<\/h2>\n

FUJAIRAH, United Arab Emirates (AP) \u2014 Saudi Arabia said Monday two of its oil tankers were sabotaged off the coast of the United Arab Emirates in attacks the previous day that caused \u201csignificant damage\u201d to the vessels, one of them as it was en route to pick up Saudi oil to take to the United States.<\/p>\n

The announcement by the kingdom\u2019s energy minister, Khalid al-Falih, came as the U.S. issued a new warning to sailors and the UAE\u2019s regional allies condemned Sunday\u2019s incident that targeted at least four ships, including two Saudi tankers, off the port city of Fujairah.<\/p>\n

The statement came just hours after Iranian and Lebanese media outlets aired false reports of explosions at Fujairah\u2019s port. Emirati officials have declined to elaborate on the nature of the sabotage or say who might have been responsible. …\u00a0European Union powers were meeting Monday in Brussels to thrash out ways to keep the Iran nuclear deal afloat, and were likely to hold talks with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo amid rising tensions between Washington and Tehran. A few days ago, the US warned that Iran might attack oil tankers:<\/p>\n

The U.S. Maritime Administration issued on Friday a maritime advisory<\/a> warning that Iran or its proxies could target oil infrastructure and commercial ships, including oil tankers, in and around the Persian Gulf.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince early May, there is an increased possibility that Iran and\/or its regional proxies could take action against U.S. and partner interests, including oil production infrastructure, after recently threatening to close the Strait of Hormuz. Iran or its proxies could respond by targeting commercial vessels, including oil tankers, or U.S. military vessels in the Red Sea, Bab-el-Mandeb Strait, or the Persian Gulf,\u201d says the U.S. Maritime Administration\u2019s advisory which is effective until early November 2019.<\/p>\n

The tension between the United States and Iran has flared up in recent weeks, after the U.S. announced in April that it was ending all sanction waivers for Iranian oil customers, aiming to cut Iran\u2019s oil exports to zero.<\/p>\n

Iran, for its part, is accusing the U.S. and its allies of\u00a0using oil as a political tool<\/a>\u00a0and has repeatedly said that American sanctions can\u2019t and won\u2019t bring Iranian oil exports to zero. https:\/\/oilprice.com\/Energy\/Energy-General\/US-Warns-Iran-May-Attack-Oil-Tankers-In-The-Persian-Gulf.html<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It would be illogical for Iran to authorize (or cause) these attacks now since it wants the European Union to help it reduce the problems caused by US sanctions. But someone caused the attacks.<\/p>\n

That being said, one day, Iran may well lead a major military attack against Israel (cf. Isaiah 22; see also Iran in Prophecy<\/a>).<\/p>\n

But Iran will, ultimately not do well.<\/p>\n

Consider the following prophecy:<\/p>\n

34 The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying, 35 “Thus says the Lord of hosts:<\/p>\n

‘Behold, I will break the bow of Elam,

\nFrom the four quarters of heaven,
\nAnd scatter them toward all those winds;
\nThere shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go.
\n37 For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies
\nAnd before those who seek their life.
\nI will bring disaster upon them,
\nMy fierce anger,’ says the Lord;
\n‘And I will send the sword after them
\nUntil I have consumed them.
\n38 I will set My throne in Elam,
\nAnd will destroy from there the king and the princes,’ says the Lord. (Jeremiah 49:34-38)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Iran needs to be cautious as biblical prophecies suggest it will be involved in militaristic ventures, and ultimately that will not end well for Iran.<\/p>\n

These military ventures look to harm the tiny nation of Israel, and could even impact the USA.<\/p>\n

Whoever committed the terroristic attacks against the oil tankers should repent.<\/p>\n

Violence and destruction like that will not bring real peace.<\/p>\n

We need the Kingdom of God<\/a>.<\/p>\n
