The US Federal Reserve apparently is considering lowering interest rates:<\/p>\n

The U.S.<\/a> Federal Reserve<\/a> has sent a \u201cvery strong signal\u201d that it\u2019s ready to consider cutting interest rates, according to a former Fed governor.<\/p>\n

Sarah Bloom Raskin, who sat on the Fed board from 2010 to 2014, offered that analysis in light of Chairman Jerome Powell\u2019s<\/a> recent speech in which he said the central bank \u201cwill act as appropriate to sustain the expansion.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI think Chairman Powell has given a message to markets that\u2019s indicating that a rate cut is coming. This is, in essence, a very strong signal that the FOMC is actually ready to talk about cutting rates,\u201d Raskin, who\u2019s now a senior fellow at Duke University, told CNBC\u2019s \u201cSquawk Box\u201d<\/a> on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), which is responsible for setting American monetary policy, is scheduled to next meet on June 18-19 to decide on interest rates. https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2019\/06\/05\/former-fed-governor-on-powell-speech-possible-us-interest-rate-cuts.html<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Others are less sure that a cut in interest rates is about to be announced:<\/p>\n

Peter Hooper, chief economist for Deutsche Bank Securities in New York, said he was \u201cholding off\u201d forecasting rate cuts, awaiting more date on the health of the economy.<\/p>\n

But the drumbeat for Fed easing continues to build. https:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/story\/fed-interest-rate-cuts-are-not-a-done-deal-experts-say-2019-06-05<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But an article from Mises Institute (MI) indicates that the cuts must happen:<\/p>\n

\n

The Fed Has No Choice But to Return to Ultra-Low Interest Rates<\/h2>\n

The current boom is heavily built on credit. This is because in today\u2019s fiat money regime central banks, in close cooperation with commercial banks, increase the quantity of money by extending loans \u2013 loans that are not backed by \u2018real savings\u2019. The artificial increase in the supply of credit pushes market interest rates downwards \u2013 that is, below the levels that would prevail had there been no artificial increase in bank credit supply. …<\/p>\n

The Fed has signaled recently that it wants to take a break as far as any further interest rate decisions are concerned. Financial markets have their own view, though: They seem to expect that the Fed\u2019s hiking cycle is already over, and that the central bank will sooner or later lower interest rates again. The likelihood that this expectation will turn out to be correct is quite high: As the Fed wishes to keep the boom going, it has no choice but to return to the policy of suppressing interest rates. …<\/p>\n

A Ruinous Monetary Policy<\/strong><\/h4>\n

If interest rates and returns hit rock bottom, people have little reason to save, and investors little incentive to invest. Consumption increases at the expense of savings, and capital consumption sets in. Existing capital will be used up and not replaced. It might take a while for people to find out that a central bank monetary policy that pushes the interest rate to ever lower levels does not bring prosperity but is very damaging, even ruinous, for the future prosperity of the commonweal.<\/p>\n

Once investors realize that the economy is losing its strength, elevated asset prices, previously driven up by an ultra-low interest rate, will come crashing down. 06\/04\/19 https:\/\/mises.org\/wire\/fed-has-no-choice-return-ultra-low-interest-rates<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

MI is understating the risks.<\/p>\n

Because there is also another issue: the higher the interest rates, the higher the US budget deficit as the US has to pay interest, currently, on just over $22 trillion in debt. When interest rates get back to more historical levels, this will be part of a downward spiral that will essentially take the entire US economy down with it.<\/p>\n

Notice the following end-time prophecy and consider how it would apply to the USA:<\/p>\n

2 <\/strong>And the Lord answered me:<\/p>\n

\u201cWrite the vision;
\nmake it plain on tablets,
\nso he may run who reads it.
\n3 <\/strong>For still the vision awaits its appointed time;
\nit hastens to the end\u2014it will not lie.
\nIf it seems slow, wait for it;
\nit will surely come; it will not delay.<\/p>\n

4 <\/strong>\u201cBehold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him,
\nbut the righteous shall live by his faith.<\/p>\n

5 <\/strong>\u201cMoreover, wine is a traitor,
\nan arrogant man who is never at rest.
\nHis greed is as wide as Sheol;
\nlike death he has never enough.
\nHe gathers for himself all nations
\nand collects as his own all peoples.\u201d<\/p>\n

6<\/strong> Shall not all these take up their taunt against him, with scoffing and riddles for him, and say,<\/p>\n

\u201cWoe to him who heaps up what is not his own\u2014
\nfor how long?\u2014
\nand loads himself with pledges!\u201d
\n7 <\/strong>Will not your debtors suddenly arise,
\nand those awake who will make you tremble?
\nThen you will be spoil for them.
\n8 <\/strong>Because you have plundered many nations,
\nall the remnant of the peoples shall plunder you,
\nfor the blood of man and violence to the earth,
\nto cities and all who dwell in them. (Habakkuk 2:2-8; English Standard Version)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The USA is greedy. It has been issuing “pledges,” like Treasury bills and bonds, that it never intends to pay back.<\/p>\n

The USA is also the most indebted nation in the history of humanity and those in it should try to understand this prophecy. Rising interest rates mean that it will cost the US government more to service its debt–this will one day be truly unsustainable. Perhaps it should be noted that the United Kingdom seems to have the second highest amount of total debt (about 1\/2 that of the USA).<\/p>\n

Notice that God tells Habakkuk that those who read this should run–that means they should take proper spiritual action now (cf. Luke 21:36), and then, eventually physically flee (cf. Revelation 12:14-16).<\/p>\n

The Anglo-American world order will come to an end. Accumulation of debt, and then having to pay historically \u2018normal\u2019 interest rates will strain the national economies of the USA and UK more than almost anyone will believe. It will be a financial crisis beyond what Jerome Powell or Donald Trump would consider possible.<\/p>\n

Those who think the current world order with the USA\u2019s dollar on top will last several decades are in error.<\/p>\n

The idea that the debt does not matter is a false and arrogant belief that many politicians, pundits, and media personnel hold.<\/p>\n

The Bible teaches:<\/p>\n

18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18, NJKV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It is prideful arrogance that gets humans to think that they can essentially completely control the economy and just borrow and print up money. They cannot. Weather, political events, diseases, wars, morality, technology, and other factors play a role.<\/p>\n

Plus, there is also the matter of debt accumulation by the USA and biblical prophecy.<\/p>\n

Those who will believe the Bible will take the words that God spoke to the prophet Habakkuk seriously.<\/p>\n

Consider further, what will happen if a series of ‘natural’ and other disasters hits the USA?<\/p>\n

Notice something I wrote in my book Donald Trump and America\u2019s Apocalypse<\/a>:<\/p>\n

The debt situation of the U.S.A. is putting it at risk of being unable to recover should it be hit by weather problems, terrorist acts, war, riots, solar flares, severe earthquakes, civil unrest, devastation of their genetically-modified food supplies, food shortages, and\/or various pestilences\u2013an intensity of \u201csorrows\u201d such as Jesus discussed in Matthew 24:4-8 leading up to the time of the Great Tribulation. Political issues, climate change, trade policies, communication\u2019s deals, and other events are pushing the U.S.A. to a position that will encourage its takeover someday. Disasters, especially if there is an ElectroMagnetic Pulse (EMP) attack or a severe solar flare storm, could be part of a so-called \u201cperfect storm\u201d of events that could set the USA for destruction.<\/span> (Thiel B. Neither the Federal Reserve nor the US government can stop weather problems, earthquakes, or the prophecies in Matthew 24:4-8 that will lead up to the time of the Great Tribulation.<\/p>\n

Do not believe that the USA will continue indefinitely and that its debt can continue to rise.<\/p>\n

Repentance is needed. The USA and its Anglo-Saxon allies will not last to the end of this century (watch also End of the Anglo-American Order<\/a>).<\/p>\n
