The meeting is promoted by the Council of Catholic Patriarchs of the East, the Catholic Center for Studies and Media in Jordan, with the collaboration of the Platform for Dialogue and Cooperation between Religious Leaders and Institutions of the Arab World\u201d and the Jordanian Office of Tourism. …<\/p>\n

ZENIT: On February 4, 2019, during the Pope\u2019s travel to Abu Dhabi, Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al Ahzar Al Tayeb signed the historic joint declaration on human brotherhood. I had the pleasure to be there having followed the trip from the papal flight. This document condemned religious extremism. Would you say that even here in Amman, there is the same spirit of that encounter?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Andrea Tornielli:<\/strong> Yes, it seems so, also because the experience in Jordan is a positive experience of dialogue between Christians and Muslims. …<\/p>\n

ZENIT: Is there a certain element in that document, which you believe is most important to highlight?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Andrea Tornielli:<\/strong> The interesting point about Abu Dhabi is that for the first time, there was a strong commitment by an Islamic authority to walk in a certain direction. …<\/p>\n

ZENIT: What are Pope Francis\u2019 hopes today, in your opinion, around that document? What concrete fruits is the Holy Father hoping for, and would be most appreciated after that historic signature?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Andrea Tornielli:<\/strong> I believe that the Pope\u2019s hope, after the signing of the human fraternity document in Abu Dhabi, is to be able to show and make it clear, that there is an Islam that wants to dialogue, engage in respect for human rights and is also committed to making concrete progress, make significant steps! https:\/\/zenit.org\/articles\/interview-andrea-tornielli-on-the-islam-that-wants-to-dialogue-never-respond-to-hatred-with-hatred\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While dialogue, and not hatred, is to be encouraged, it should be pointed out that biblical and Islamic prophecy tell of coming cooperation between those in historically Roman Catholic and Islamic lands (cf. Daniel 11:27; Psalm 83:2-8; see also Is the Future King of the South Rising Up?<\/a>)<\/p>\n

As far as the Church of Rome and Islam go, let\u2019s see some statements from the Catechism of the Catholic Church<\/em> from the Vatican\u2019s official website http:\/\/www.vatican.va\/archive\/ccc_css\/archive\/catechism\/p123a9p3.htm<\/a>:<\/p>\n

<\/a>841<\/b> The Church\u2019s relationship with the Muslims<\/i>. \u201cThe plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind\u2019s judge on the last day.\u201d330<\/sup><\/p>\n

<\/a>842<\/a><\/b> The Church\u2019s bond with non-Christian religions<\/i> is in the first place the common origin and end of the human race:<\/p>\n

All nations form but one community. This is so because all stem from the one stock which God created to people the entire earth, and also because all share a common destiny, namely God. His providence, evident goodness, and saving designs extend to all against the day when the elect are gathered together in the holy city. . .331<\/sup><\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

<\/a>843<\/a><\/b> The Catholic Church recognizes in other religions that search, among shadows and images, for the God who is unknown yet near since he gives life and breath and all things and wants all men to be saved. Thus, the Church considers all goodness and truth found in these religions as \u201ca preparation for the Gospel and given by him who enlightens all men that they may at length have life.\u201d332<\/sup><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So, the Vatican officially claims that the Muslims and Catholics adore the same deity.<\/p>\n

It is that type of \u2018Chrislam\u2019 that some in the Vatican and various others wish to promote.<\/p>\n

Notice what the Apostle Peter<\/a> said in the Book of Acts:<\/p>\n

On February 4, 2019, at the \u2018 Global Conference on Human Fraternity,\u2019 Pope Francis and leading Sunni Imam Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb signed a document that some suspect may lead towards a \u201cone world religion.\u201d The World Council of Churches (WCC) General Secretary, Dr Olav Fykse Tveit, who also attended, pushed for religious leaders and institutions to push towards a particular cooperative agenda to help bring world peace. Will there be real peace or just a temporary one? Will destruction come to the USA and nations in the Middle East and North Africa? What will be some characteristics of this \u201cone world religion\u2019? Will all have the same religious practices? Might it have commonalities with the ancient Roman Empire? The Grand Mosque in the UAE was renamed \u201cMary, Mother of Jesus.\u201d Will Catholic, Islamic, and even Hindu reverence for Marian figures play a role? Is that part of the plan? Should real Christians support the interfaith and ecumenical agendas or remain separate from them? What does the Bible teach? What did Jesus teach?
