As the globe warms in the years ahead, days with extreme heat are forecast to skyrocket across hundreds of U.S. cities, a new study suggests, perhaps even breaking the “heat index.”<\/p>\n

\u201cOur analysis shows a hotter future that\u2019s hard to imagine today,\u201d study co-author Kristina Dahl, a climate scientist at the Union of Concerned Scientists, said in a statement.\u00a0\u201cNearly everywhere, people will experience more days of dangerous heat\u00a0in the next few decades.”<\/p>\n

By 2050, hundreds of U.S. cities could see an entire month each year with heat index temperatures above 100 degrees … https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/nation\/2019\/07\/16\/heat-waves-worsen-because-global-warming-study-says\/1734127001\/<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

While the focus of the study pointed to above was carbon emissions, the conclusion that high heat will worsen is consistent with biblical prophecy.<\/p>\n

We have seen a lot of odd weather–including high heat in places like Europe (see Record breaking heat in Europe: The worst is yet to come<\/a>) and Christians should expect to see more.<\/p>\n

An earlier study also says that it expects extreme high heat by the end of the 21st century:<\/p>\n

Up to 75 percent of people could face deadly heatwaves by 2100 unless carbon emissions plummet, a new study warns.<\/strong><\/div>\n

A new study has found that 30 percent of the world\u2019s population is currently exposed to potentially deadly heat for 20 days per year or more\u2014and like a growing forest fire, climate change<\/a> is spreading this extreme heat.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Without major reductions in emissions of greenhouse gases such as CO2<\/sub><\/a>, up to three in four people will face the threat of dying from heat by 2100. However, even with reductions, one in two people at the end of the century will likely face at least 20 days when extreme heat can kill, according to the analysis<\/a>, published on Monday in Nature Climate Change<\/i>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cLethal heatwaves are very common. I don\u2019t know why we as a society are not more concerned about the dangers,\u201d says Camilo Mora of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, the study\u2019s lead author. \u201cThe 2003 European heatwave killed approximately 70,000 people<\/a>\u2014that\u2019s more than 20 times the number of people who died in the September 11 attacks.\u201d http:\/\/news.nationalgeographic.com\/2017\/06\/heatwaves-climate-change-global-warming\/<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Will 3\/4 or more of the planet be affected by deadly heat this century?<\/p>\n

Yes, though not quite for the reasons many believe.<\/p>\n

The United Nations, Vatican, and various others tend to believe that temperature records are proof of carbon-burning caused ‘climate change.’ Many think that those who disbelieve this are intentionally ignorant as there are facts behind some parts of some of their claims. Yet, those warners of climate change do not seem to be able to conceive of the idea that weather problems could be a curse from God for things like the LGBTQ agenda and other aspects of immorality (for some details as to why that can be relevant, check out the article Weather Blessings and Sorrows<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Various others are skeptical of the ‘climate change’ agenda as they have seen some statistics and facts about this falsified. Many of them also suspect that wealth redistribution and other social goals are what is really behind this, and they can point to Pope Francis’ Laudato Si<\/a> and the United Nation’s ‘New Universal Agenda’<\/a> as proof of this.<\/p>\n

Irrespective of how one views the climate, the Bible shows that sin causes problems and facts demonstrate that we have had severe weather.<\/p>\n

The Bible warns that God uses weather to send a message. Sometimes God uses drought and then sometimes sends mildew if people will not turn to Him as the following show:<\/p>\n

7 “I also withheld rain from you,
\nWhen there were still three months to the harvest.
\nI made it rain on one city,
\nI withheld rain from another city.
\nOne part was rained upon,
\nAnd where it did not rain the part withered.
\n8 So two or three cities wandered to another city to drink water,
\nBut they were not satisfied;
\nYet you have not returned to Me,”
\nSays the Lord.<\/p>\n

9 “I blasted you with blight and mildew.
\nWhen your gardens increased,
\nYour vineyards,
\nYour fig trees,
\nAnd your olive trees,
\nThe locust devoured them;
\nYet you have not returned to Me,”
\nSays the Lord. (Amos 4:7-9)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While many humans often seem to think otherwise, God is in charge and controls the weather.<\/p>\n

7 Praise the Lord from the earth,
\nYou great sea creatures and all the depths;
\n8 Fire and hail, snow and clouds;
\nStormy wind, fulfilling His word; (Psalms 148:7-8)<\/p>\n

26 “Behold, God is great, and we do not know Him; Nor can the number of His years be discovered. 27 For He draws up drops of water, Which distill as rain from the mist, 28 Which the clouds drop down And pour abundantly on man. 29 Indeed, can anyone understand the spreading of clouds, The thunder from His canopy? 30 Look, He scatters His light upon it, And covers the depths of the sea. 31 For by these He judges the peoples; He gives food in abundance. 32 He covers His hands with lightning, And commands it to strike. 33 His thunder declares it, The cattle also, concerning the rising storm. (Job 36:26-33)<\/p>\n

25 For He commands and raises the stormy wind,Which lifts up the waves of the sea. 26 They mount up to the heavens, They go down again to the depths;Their soul melts because of trouble. 27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, And are at their wits’ end. 28 Then they cry out to the Lord in their trouble, And He brings them out of their distresses. 29 He calms the storm,So that its waves are still. 30 Then they are glad because they are quiet; So He guides them to their desired haven. 31 Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! 32 Let them exalt Him also in the assembly of the people, And praise Him in the company of the elders. 33 He turns rivers into a wilderness, And the watersprings into dry ground; 34 A fruitful land into barrenness, For the wickedness of those who dwell in it. 35 He turns a wilderness into pools of water, And dry land into watersprings. 36 There He makes the hungry dwell, That they may establish a city for a dwelling place, 37 And sow fields and plant vineyards, That they may yield a fruitful harvest. 38 He also blesses them, and they multiply greatly; And He does not let their cattle decrease. 3 He sends it forth under the whole heaven, His lightning to the ends of the earth. 4 After it a voice roars; He thunders with His majestic voice, And He does not restrain them when His voice is heard. 5 God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend. 6 For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength. 7 He seals the hand of every man, That all men may know His work. 8 The beasts go into dens, And remain in their lairs. 9 From the chamber of the south comes the whirlwind, And cold from the scattering winds of the north. 10 By the breath of God ice is given, And the broad waters are frozen. 11 Also with moisture He saturates the thick clouds; He scatters His bright clouds. 12 And they swirl about, being turned by His guidance, That they may do whatever He commands them On the face of the whole earth. 13 He causes it to come, Whether for correction, Or for His land, Or for mercy. (Job 37:3-13)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

God controls the weather. As the Book of Job records above, cold and snowy weather is sometimes used by God for correction. The following shows that God sometimes uses hail and snow for punishment:<\/p>\n

22 “Have you entered the treasury of snow, Or have you seen the treasury of hail, 23 Which I have reserved for the time of trouble, For the day of battle and war? (Job 38:22-23)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Weather is not as random as most seem to want to believe.<\/p>\n

As regular readers of this page are aware, I have repeatedly warned of weather problems coming. Back in 2009, in my book, 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect<\/em>, I wrote that the following was about to happen:<\/p>\n

Odd weather patterns result in food shortages and natural disasters.<\/td>\nMatthew 24:7<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The world is actually in a berserk transition, as the real age of peace is not yet here. It may be a period of chaos. It is the beginning of sorrows.<\/td>\nMatthew 24:8<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Since that was published, we have had record smashing heat and odd weather problems. These weather issues should serve as a wake-up call.<\/p>\n

What about deadly heat?<\/p>\n

The Bible shows that it will get much worse later:<\/p>\n

8 Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. 9 And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory. (Revelation 16:8-9)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But, the above prophecy is for several years into the future–we are not too near that yet. But I believe that this will happen in the 21st century.<\/p>\n

Record Heat: Is it Biblical?<\/a><\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Heat records were set in over 118 locations during the Summer of 2018. Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America all had major heat waves. The hottest recorded rain also occurred in the Summer of 2018. Beyond heat related deaths and discomfort, there were other impacts on flora, fauna, and the environment. Does God control the weather? Does God promise good weather for obedience and warn of fire and other weather problems for disobedience? Is what has been happening consistent with the beginning of sorrows and troubles Jesus spoke about? Is worse heat coming according to Bible prophecy? What about sin and repentance? Does the United Nations have the answer? What about the good news of the Kingdom of God? Dr. Thiel addresses these issues and more.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Bible is clear that God controls the weather and various calamities, but wants people to heed His prophets:<\/p>\n

6… If there is calamity in a city, will not the Lord have done it?<\/p>\n

7 Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. (Amos 3:6-7)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Bible tells of weather-related blessings for obedience and weather-related curses for disobedience. Weather is not as random as many people seem to want to believe.<\/p>\n

The Bible shows:<\/p>\n

30 God … commands all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And weather-problems are one tool that God uses to urge people to repent (cf. Haggai 2:17; Amos 4:7-12). But most will not. Nor will most Christians as they should (cf. Revelation 3:14-18; see also The Laodicean Church Era<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Most will ignore weather changes and simply believe that weather changes all the time and the changes do not have to do with God or disobeying His laws.<\/p>\n

Yet, the Bible shows that weird, severe, and odd weather patterns are part of the warning messages that God gives.<\/p>\n
