She told critics that the country\u2019s own security needs require more funds and the move isn\u2019t simply a response to foreign pressure.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Former US President Barack Obama and current President Donald Trump have been urging Germany to spend more on defense.<\/p>\n

The USA is pushing Germany towards World War III.<\/p>\n

The old Radio and Worldwide Church of God long expected Germany to rise up militarily and dominate Europe. Here are some quotes from the last century:<\/p>\n

If you were God, and the nation of Israel had rebelled against you, and you wished to punish them for that rebellion -and you were going to use another nation<\/em> as a rod in your hand to punish them-what nation would you<\/em> pick? What nation would be best equipped <\/em>to deal the crushing blow, that would grind us under its heel in cruel oppression until we turned our hearts to God and asked Him to forgive us for OUR sins, and asked Him to save us?<\/p>\n

The nation God picked was Germany!<\/em><\/p>\n

Just as the modern nations of the United States and Great Britain are refer red to in the Bible as Israel, so the modern nation of Germany is referred to as ancient Assyria! \u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cO Assyrian, the rod of MINE anger<\/em>, and the staff in their hand is MINE indignation<\/em>, I WILL SEND HIM against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath (rebellious Israel) will I give him a charge (command), to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets<\/em>\u201d (Isa. 10:5,6).<\/p>\n

Yes , God is going to rake the nation of Germany as the head of a United Europe into his hand as a club<\/em> to punish the nations of Israel for their rebellion against Him! Howbeit he meanth not so, neither does his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy<\/em> and cut off nations not a few\u201d (vs. 7). Germany, those living in Germany, even the German government, may not yet know that they are going to join in a treaty with the Russians to destroy the United States and bring it to its knees-it is not in his \u201cheart\u201d to think so, but on the other hand it IS in his \u201cheart\u201d to destroy-the very characteristic of the Assyrian, the modern German, is a harsh, cruel, iron, dedication to militarism and destruction!<\/em> This is just the kind of nation God needs to use as a rod in His hand to punish His people!<\/p>\n

Does this then mean that the Germans at the head of a United Europe do have a spiritual mission to perform? Does this mean that they are right<\/em> in claiming to be the \u201cDefenders of the West\u201d and the champions of Christianity!? No!<\/p>\n

God\u2019s Destiny for Germany<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite the fact that it is God who will use Germany to destroy America, Germany must be destroyed as well for HER rebellion against God<\/em>\u2014\u201cI will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks. For he saith, by the strength of my<\/em> hand I have done it, and by my<\/em> wisdom; for I am prudent!\u201d (Is. 10:12,13)<\/p>\n

The leaders of a United Europe, when they succeed against the United States, will begin to think THEIR prudent planning, THEIR wise ideas and THEIR powerful might<\/em> have made them successful! They will not realize that they have only been used as a base<\/em> tool of destruction in the hand of the Almighty God! \u201cShall the axe boast itself against him that hews therewith? Or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod<\/em> should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood\u201d (Isa. 10:15). God explains here that despite the fact that He has used<\/em> Assyria to punish Israel, Assyria is also <\/em>rebellious against His law and government, His way, and since it will magnify itself against the very God of creation, as Dan. 11: 36 and 37 explain, GOD WILL HAVE TO PUNISH IT FOR THIS.<\/em><\/p>\n

So GOD<\/em> says, \u201cThe Lord of hosts has sworn. saying, Surely as I have thought<\/em>, so SHALL IT COME TO PASS: and as I have purposed<\/em>, so SHALL IT STAND; That I will break the Assyrian in my land<\/em>, and upon my mountains TREAD HIM UNDER FOOT: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their (the Israelites) shoulders\u201d (Isa.14: 24,25). Just shortly before Jesus Christ Himself intervenes in this world\u2019s affairs. He will take another nation as a punishing club in His hands and punish the proud Assyrians,<\/em> the modern Germans at the head of the United States of Europe. \u201cBehold, I will stir up the Medes<\/a><\/em> against them, which shall nor regard silver; and as for gold they shall not delight in it \u2026 Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children. And Babylon (the modern resurrected and revived Roman Empire, dominated by a fascist Germany), the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees\u2019 excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah!\u201d (Is. 13: 17-19.) \u2026<\/p>\n

Since God himself<\/em><\/a> has pronounced a curse on modern Israel, and is going to hand us over to the Assyrians, it is evident that we CANNOT TRUST in the American way of life either!<\/em><\/p>\n

Nothing is left outside these three great systems and powers on earth, under man, except Anarchy!<\/p>\n

MAN\u2019S ONLY HOPE LIES IN TURNING TO HIS CREATOR GOD!<\/em> \u2026

Now the Germans are not the master race. They are a race of orderly people who are very great producers of certain mechanical things, have very great talents in certain directions. They are a people who have been down and out after World War I. And Hitler came around and raised them up with the idea that they are better than any other people on earth, and he practically had them hypnotized. I think a great many people in Germany today realize that, and I don\u2019t think you find very much of Hitlerism in Germany today. However, it\u2019s coming in a little different way today. PESCO and a Great European Army<\/a><\/p>\n

In November 2018, French President Macron called for a \u201ctrue European army\u201d because of China, Russia, and the USA. Some others in Europe have echoed that sentiment. On November 9, 2018, US President Donald Trump called that an insult, but the next day said that the USA wanted \u201ca very strong Europe.\u201d Emmanuel Macron referred to Donald Trump as \u201cmy friend\u201d and indicated a desire to strengthen Europe\u2019s military spending. In December 2017, 25 European nations agreed to be part of a military alliance called PESCO. Europe also has NATO and IEI. Will Europe end up with \u201ca great army\u201d? Has Donald Trump\u2019s announcement to withdraw from the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty gotten some to say that Europe must rebel against the USA? Is the idea of a United States of Europe and a European army a \u201cparanoid fantasy\u201d or a biblical reality? Will the USA regret Europe becoming a stronger military power? Will the USA be betrayed by \u201cfriends\u201d such as its continental European allies? Does the Bible teach any or all of this? Nuclear bombers for the Beast?<\/a><\/p>\n

It is reported that the Germans are looking for a new bomber to be able to be used to deliver US B61-12 atomic bombs. Does Germany already have access to American nuclear weapons it can now use? What about Belgium, Italy, and the Netherlands? Has there been increased interest in more independent European nuclear capacity since the election of US President Donald Trump? What has Berthold Kohler, Herbert W. Armstrong, Nigel Farage, Jean-Claude Juncker, and Maximilian Terhalle said about Europe\u2019s militaristic ambitions? What about Bible prophecy? Could the Great Tribulation begin with a thermonuclear strike? What has Time, NTI, and Global Research reported about European nuclear weapons available to European nations? Note that Lamentations 1:1-2, indicates that the USA will be betrayed and destroyed militarily by its \u201cfriends.\u201d Germany and the rest of a coming united Europe does not have to be stronger in all areas than the USA, only strong enough to win when the USA is not expecting it.<\/p>\n

The late Herbert W. Armstrong<\/a> wrote about WWIII\u2019s timing and how he thought it would begin:<\/p>\n

World War 3 brings with it THE GREAT TRIBULATION. That is now next in order. But Jesus, in foretelling this chain of world events, said the GREAT TRIBULATION would be preceded by the world-wide proclaiming of HIS Gospel. \u201cThe GOSPEL must first be published among all nations,\u201d said Jesus (Mark 13:10), or, as recorded by Matthew (24:14): \u201cThis Gospel OF THE KINGDOM shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto ALL NATIONS; and THEN shall the END (of the world) come.\u201d (Armstrong HW. Brethren and Co-Worker Letter, May 22, 1953)<\/p>\n

Matthew 24:15\u2026That will be a time when the UNITED Europe shall appear\u2013the revival of the medieval \u201cHoly Roman Empire.\u201d We shall then be warned, and readied to be taken to a place of refuge and safety from the Great Tribulation. Forty-five days later \u201cthe beasts armies\u201d will surround Jerusalem. Thirty days later the Great Tribulation will probably start with a nuclear attack on London and Britain\u2013and possibly the same day or immediately after, on the United States and Canadian cities<\/strong>. The GREAT TRIBULATION, we shall fully then realize, is the time of \u201cJacob\u2019s Trouble,\u201d spoken of in Jeremiah 30:7. And Jacob\u2019s name was named on Joseph\u2019s sons, Ephraim and Manasseh (Gen. 48:16). \u2026 We have reached the time just before a \u201cUnited States of Europe\u201d restores the \u201cHoly Roman Empire,\u201d under the papacy, in a union of church and state. Notice that the UK, USA, and Canada are mentioned in the above writing.<\/p>\n

Brexit will be a factor for the end of the UK. Donald Trump is a factor pushing Europe to one day end the USA. And Canada, as a strong ally of the USA and UK will essentially be collateral damage.<\/p>\n

Regarding cities like Washington, D.C., Herbert W. Armstrong<\/a> warned:<\/p>\n

Now I want you to notice the time of this prophecy, it’s just before the coming of Christ, but it has to be the time after the hydrogen bomb had been produced, because nothing else could completely obliterate whole cities and a whole nation. Because a few hydrogen bombs… Well suppose one hydrogen bomb should be dropped on New York, one on Boston, one on Washington DC, one on Philadelphia. Let’s say one down on Miami, one on Houston Texas, one on St. Louis, one on Chicago, one on Kansas City, one on Denver, one on Phoenix Arizona, one on Los Angeles, one on San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle on the West coast. What would be left of the United States? Those cities and all around them would be totally destroyed, there wouldn’t be anything left. Now I want to show you some of the prophecies that say that very kind of thing is going to happen. The cities aren’t mentioned but I’m going to show you that our country is mentioned, and the countries where it’s going to happen, in the Book of Ezekiel chapter six verse six: “In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste…” (Ezekiel 6:6)<\/p>\n

That is referring, my friends, to the United States, and Canada, and Britain, and our nations, the English-speaking nations. ,,, “And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.” (Ezekiel 6:7)<\/p>\n

That is a saying that is used by the prophet Ezekiel again, and again, and again, and always it is referring to the time of the Second Coming of Christ. It shows that they \u2014 that even the people of ancient Israel did not know who He was. They did not know that He was the Eternal. They will know it when He comes, and they don’t know it now, it is speaking of the Second Coming of Christ.<\/p>\n

Now I’d like to have you notice again now in the twelfth chapter and verse 20 of Ezekiel: “And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be desolate; and ye shall know that I am the LORD [or the Eternal].” (Ezekiel 12:20) (HWA\/ Telecast Date:<\/b> July 15, 1982<\/span>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

World events are showing that we are getting closer to the start of the Great Tribulation (see also When Will the Great Tribulation Begin?<\/a><\/span>).<\/p>\n

Something that resembles nuclear devastation is one of the prophesied curses mentioned in the Bible:<\/p>\n

23 ‘The whole land is brimstone, salt, and burning; it is not sown, nor does it bear, nor does any grass grow there, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which the Lord overthrew in His anger and His wrath.’ 24 All nations would say, ‘Why has the Lord done so to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?’ 25 Then people would say: ‘Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord God of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt; 26 for they went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods that they did not know and that He had not given to them. 27 Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against this land, to bring on it every curse that is written in this book. 28 And the Lord uprooted them from their land in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.’ 29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law. (Deuteronomy 29:23-29).<\/p>\n

6…He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; 7 as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Jude 6-7)<\/p>\n

19 Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts
\nThe land is burned up<\/strong>,
\nAnd the people shall be as fuel for the fire; No man shall spare his brother.
\n20 And he shall snatch on the right hand
\nAnd be hungry;
\nHe shall devour on the left hand
\nAnd not be satisfied; Every man shall eat the flesh of his own arm. 21 Manasseh shall devour Ephraim, and Ephraim Manasseh; Together they shall be against Judah (Isaiah 9:19-21).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The above descriptions are consistent with a nuclear or similar attack. Manasseh represents the USA and Ephraim its British-descended allies. THIS HAS NOT YET HAPPENED IN HISTORY AND IS A PROPHECY FOR OUR TIME. While Israel was uprooted historically, the land did not burn up or become brimstone. Deuteronomy 29:23-29 provides one reason why most Protestants and most others that profess Christ do not understand these prophecies–they do not do the words of the law that God expects His people to do today.<\/p>\n

WWIII will involve the destruction of the USA and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies.<\/p>\n

Germany is intent on raising its military spending.<\/p>\n

Eventually, this will result in the destruction of the USA (cf. Daniel 11:39; Isaiah 10:5-11).<\/p>\n
