As regular readers of this COGwriter Church of God News page realize, freedom of speech and expression are being censored directly and indirectly by Big Tech.<\/p>\n

While Big Tech denies having a bias towards the Bible, the following posted at Breaking Israel News<\/em> seems to either be an absurd mistake by Facebook<\/em> or direct proof of its anti-religious bias:<\/p>\n

Facebook Deems Rosh Hashannah \u201cSexually Provocative\u201d<\/h2>\n

Facebook has banned an advertisement promoting the Jewish High Holidays of Rosh Hashannah<\/a> and Yom Kippur saying that the ad is \u201csexually provocative or overly suggestive\u201d. …<\/p>\n

The ad, which was promoted by the Ariel Jewish Center, read: \u201cHigh Holidays, Rosh Hashannah: First Day \u2013 Mon., Sept. 30 Yom Kippur: Tues., Oct. 8 (night) Wed., Oct. 9 (day) Register: 410-764-5000 or ARIELCENTER.org\/services.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ad then linked to the following video …<\/p>\n

In response, Facebook flagged the advertisement saying: \u201cThis ad isn\u2019t running because it is sexually provocative or overly suggestive\u201d.<\/p>\n

To which the center\u2019s Rabbi, Rabbi Belinsky responded facetiously: \u201cDoes anyone see anything sexually explicit?\u201d<\/p>\n

One commenter suggested: \u201d\u00a0I am guessing the words \u201cservices\u201d, \u201chigh\u201d, \u201cAriel\u201d set off the AI\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

David Sidman reported the ad linked to an Ariel Center video.<\/a><\/p>\n

The center’s rabbi, Rabbi Belinsky, wondered, “Does anyone see anything sexually explicit?”<\/p>\n

He said, “Censoring innocuous Jewish causes and pro-Israel voices for that matter is nothing new on Facebook and social media in general.” wnd<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The advertisement mentions Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Those of is in Church of God circles refer to them as the Feast of Trumpets and Day of Atonement respectively.<\/p>\n

There is nothing sexual about their observance by Christians or Jews.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, fasting and sexual abstinence is the norm for those who observe the Day of Atonement\/Yom Kippur (cf. Leviticus 23:32; 1 Corinthians 7:5).<\/p>\n

Last year, notice how Facebook censored the use of scripture:<\/p>\n

Facebook is taking McKellen\u2019s position that freedom of speech is fine for some but not for others, according to Christian minister and blogger Julio Severo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Severo said Facebook is punishing him for posting Leviticus 18:22 in Portuguese, \u201cN\u00e3o de deitar\u00e1s com homem, como se fosse mulher; abomina\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9.\u201d<\/p>\n

A WND request to Facebook for comment generated only an automated response with instructions on how to get press releases, photos and other media resources.<\/p>\n

Facebook sent a message to Severo that said: \u201cWe Removed Something You Posted. It looks like something you posted doesn\u2019t follow our Community Standards. We remove posts that attack people based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, gender or disability. Lev\u00edtico 18.22: N\u00e3o de deitar\u00e1s com homem, como se fosse mulher; abomina\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9.\u201d<\/p>\n

The offending post originally was published in 2013, Severo noted.<\/p>\n

\u201cWilling or not willing, Facebook treated Leviticus 18:22 directly as a \u2018attack\u2019 on \u2018people based on their \u2026 sexual orientation, gender.\u2019 That is, Facebook treated the Bible as a criminal book!\u201d Severo said. …<\/p>\n

Severo directed pointed questions at Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg …<\/p>\n

\u201cDoes he approve what his company has done against the Jewish Scriptures? Is he aware?<\/p>\n

\u201cOr does he think that Facebook is now bigger, greater and more important than the holy Jewish and Christian Scriptures?\u201d http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2018\/02\/christian-catches-facebook-censoring-bible\/#HYP7qyXCypkfXbB7.99<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

FWIW, when I last read Facebook\u2019s<\/em> \u2018Community Standards\u2019 there was nothing about restriction of religious speech. But, perhaps they define words differently than I or the dictionary do. Facebook<\/em> is not the only place that has censored Leviticus 18. Years ago, a Canadian court fined a man as well as a magazine, for having an advertisement that quoted that verse.<\/div>\n

Last Fall, at least one Facebook<\/em> employee left in protest of Facebook’s<\/em> censoring of “conservative content”:<\/p>\n

October 11, 2018<\/p>\n

Brian Amerige, the Facebook engineer who sparked a firestorm at Facebook with his criticism of what he called a “political monoculture” that is “intolerant” of conservatism, is leaving the company.<\/p>\n

In an internal message to fellow employees on Wednesday, Amerige wrote: “These problems can be solved \u2014 just not by me, not any more, at least. I care too deeply about our role in supporting free expression and intellectual diversity to even whole-heartedly attempt the product stuff anymore, and that’s how I know it’s time to go.” …<\/p>\n

In August Amerige, who identifies politically as objectivist, wrote an internal memo decrying what he described as the Silicon Valley’s company’s “intolerant” culture. “We are a political monoculture that’s intolerant of different views … we claim to welcome all perspectives, but are quick to attack \u2014 often in mobs \u2014 anyone who presents a view that appears to be in opposition to left-leaning ideology,” we wrote. https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/brian-amerige-facebook-engineer-who-criticised-intolerant-culture-leaves-2018-10?r=UK&IR=T<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Left-leaning groups often are opposed to biblical teachings, and various ones have taken steps against biblically-oriented content on the Internet.<\/p>\n

The Bible shows that more restrictions are coming.<\/p>\n

11 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God,
\n“That I will send a famine on the land,
\nNot a famine of bread,
\nNor a thirst for water,
\nBut of hearing the words of the Lord.
\n12 They shall wander from sea to sea,
\nAnd from north to east;
\nThey shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord,
\nBut shall not find it. (Amos 8:11-12)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Notice that the Bible tells of a time that will come when the word of God will not be found. And that would seem to be because truth from it will be taken off the internet. In the 21st century, the internet is accessed by people in every country, and thus some type of internet restriction\/suspension\/site removal is coming.<\/p>\n

While places like Facebook<\/em> and Google<\/em> are helping set the stage for this, the Bible shows that a European power will arise and essentially force people to accept a particular, and false, leader.<\/p>\n

The Bible shows that totalitarian control is coming:<\/p>\n

11<\/span> Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. <\/span><\/div>\n
12<\/span> And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. <\/span><\/div>\n
13<\/span> He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. <\/span><\/div>\n
14<\/span> And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. <\/span><\/div>\n
15<\/span> He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. <\/span><\/div>\n
16<\/span> He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, <\/span><\/div>\n
17<\/span> and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. <\/span><\/div>\n
18<\/span> Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.<\/span> (Revelation 13:11-18)<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It will take computer technology, most likely including artificial intelligence for things such as buying and selling to be controlled (watch also Artificial Intelligence and Prophecy<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Places like Facebook<\/em> are pushing for the ability of the 666 Beast to censor.<\/p>\n

More censorship is coming. A totalitarian police state is coming (Revelation 13).<\/p>\n

That is part of why we in the Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a> are preparing for the ‘short work’ (Romans 9:28) and the coming ‘famine of the word<\/a>.’<\/p>\n

In time, the ‘famine of word’ will hit.<\/p>\n

But despite the involvement of Big Tech companies essentially encouraging that, Jesus’ message of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God<\/a> will reach the world as a witness as is prophesied as well in Matthew 24:14.<\/p>\n

Perhaps God is calling you to help fulfill Matthew 24:14 (see also Is God Calling You?<\/a><\/span><\/span>).<\/p>\n

As far as the Fall Holy Days goes, the Feast of Trumpets is to be observed in 2019 from sunset September 29th through sunset September 30th.<\/p>\n

The Day of Atonement is to be observed from sunset October 8th through sunset October 9th this year.<\/p>\n

They are something that Christians should observe and Facebook<\/em> should not censor.<\/p>\n
