Impeachment inquiries against US President Donald Trump are going forward:<\/p>\n

House Speaker Pelosi Opens Trump Impeachment Inquiry<\/h2>\n

Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi announced a formal impeachment inquiry into U.S. President Donald Trump and allegations that he sought a foreign government’s help with his 2020 re-election bid.<\/p>\n

“The actions taken to date by the president have seriously violated the Constitution,” Pelosi said. “The president must be held accountable. No one is above the law.”<\/p>\n

Pelosi made her announcement after huddling inside the Capitol with House Democratic leaders, as the number of Democratic lawmakers who support impeachment proceedings grew throughout the day Tuesday.<\/p>\n

“There have been a lot of egregious acts. But there’s nothing that compares to this. This is the president basically saying, ‘Yes, I colluded. What are you going to do about it?'” Democratic Representative Tom Malinowski told reporters.<\/p>\n

Pelosi accused Trump of betraying his oath of office, U.S. national security and the security of U.S. elections.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the past several months we have been investigating in our committees and litigating in the courts so the House can gather all the relevant facts and consider whether to exercise its full Article 1 power, including a constitutional power of the utmost gravity, approval of articles of impeachment,\u201d Pelosi said. …<\/p>\n

For months, Pelosi has resisted opening a formal impeachment inquiry into Trump over earlier allegations of obstruction of justice stemming from special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russia’s influence in the 2016 election.<\/p>\n

But the pressure on Pelosi has grown in recent days over reports Trump urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to investigate Democratic presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden over a high-paying job his son Hunter had with a Ukrainian gas company.<\/p>\n

Biden has been the Democratic front-runner for the presidential nomination and a potential rival to Trump in the 2020 election.<\/p>\n

Trump said he would release the “complete, fully declassified and unredacted” transcript of his July telephone call with Zelenskiy on Wednesday. Trump and Zelenskiy are also scheduled to meet Wednesday in New York before Trump participates in what will be a highly anticipated press conference.<\/p>\n

But Pelosi and other Democrats say there is much more to the allegations against Trump than just a telephone call. https:\/\/www.voanews.com\/usa\/house-speaker-pelosi-opens-trump-impeachment-inquiry<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As far as calls for Donald Trump’s impeachment, notice something I had published a day or so before he took office:<\/p>\n

Now, in this post I will not attempt to defend various improper statements from Donald Trump as that is not the focus.<\/p>\n

Some related examples of USA hypocrisy is what this post will focus on.<\/p>\n

The KJV has the following warning:<\/p>\n

5 O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.<\/p>\n

6 I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. (Isaiah 10:5-6)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The above prophecy involves a German-dominated Europe being used by God to punish the USA (more details about why that is so are in the articles Germany in Biblical and Catholic Prophecy<\/a> and Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel<\/a>).<\/p>\n

A place called “an hypocritical nation” (or “ungodly nation” or “profane nation” as some other translations render it) is the one getting punished.<\/p>\n

Now consider that Donald Trump was investigated for obstruction of justice. While a case for that can be made, many seem to forget that president, Bill Clinton lied to the American people, lied to Congress, and interfered with one or more witnesses regarding his sexual improprieties–he was clearly guilty of perjury and obstruction of justice. Impeachment proceedings were began, and approved, in the House of Representatives. However, all of the Democrats in the Senate (and some Republicans) voted for acquittal on both the perjury and the obstruction of justice charges, despite Bill Clinton being guilty.<\/p>\n

Notice what Nancy Pelosi said about the impeachment proceedings against Bill Clinton in 1998:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are here today because the Republicans in the House are paralyzed with hatred of President Clinton, and until the Republicans free themselves of that hatred our country will suffer\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The USA has been suffering from statements from Donald Trump, as well as investigations of Donald Trump, the past few years. The current impeachment inquiries are mainly about hate and politics.<\/p>\n

For two years, Donald Trump was subject to a special counsel investigation for colluding with the Russians. He was not found to be guilty of that. There is much greater evidence that Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation were guilty of peddling foreign influence, but thus far that has been dismissed by the media and many politicians.<\/p>\n

For the past couple of years, we have seen the media decrying what it calls Russian interference in the USA election process. But the USA has a history of trying to interfere with elections and governments around the world. More hypocrisy.<\/p>\n

As far as the matter with Joe Biden, his son, and influence peddling, perhaps more of the facts will come out. Notice the following background from NBC<\/em>:<\/p>\n

In May 2014, Hunter Biden was hired<\/a> by a Ukrainian gas company, Burisma Holdings, as a board member reportedly<\/a> making $50,000 a month. He stopped working with the company earlier this year.<\/p>\n

The company had ties to Yanukovych, raising eyebrows among White House aides <\/a>and others who saw potential for a conflict of interest. The Obama White House said at the time <\/a>the younger Biden was a private citizen, and that there was no conflict of interest. …<\/p>\n

Trump reiterated this version of events to reporters once he arrived in Houston.<\/p>\n

“He said, ‘I\u2019m not going to give billions of dollars to Ukraine unless they remove this prosecutor.’ And they removed the prosecutor supposedly in one hour,” Trump claimed, referring to Biden. “And the prosecutor was prosecuting the company of the son and the son. He just shouldn\u2019t have said that. Now, as far as my conversation, it was perfect. It was a perfect conversation.” …<\/p>\n

Trump and Giuliani have alleged that Biden used the prospect of U.S. financial support to pressure the Ukrainian government to fire its top prosecutor in 2016, because the prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, <\/strong>was investigating the gas company Burisma, and allegedly, Hunter.<\/p>\n

Shokin was widely believed to be soft on corruption, however, the United States and other Western countries had called for his removal. The country’s Parliament ultimately voted to remove Shokin.<\/a> …<\/p>\n

Biden also said he’s “never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”<\/p>\n

Still, in a July profile in The New Yorker, Hunter Biden recalled a brief conversation with his father about his work in Ukraine: “As Hunter recalled, his father discussed Burisma with him just once: \u201cDad said, \u2018I hope you know what you are doing,\u2019 and I said, \u2018I do.\u2019” https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/2020-election\/there-s-no-evidence-trump-s-biden-ukraine-accusations-what-n1057851<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Nancy Pelosi, at least partially, considers that Donald Trump’s pressing for more facts regarding the Biden-Ukrainian matter is a reason to recommend impeachment inquiries go forward (the released transcript of Donald Trump’s telephone call with the Ukrainian leader can be found in the following link: https:\/\/www.apnews.com\/273e46e2fa324eb9ba5d69ab2a2c69cb<\/a>).<\/p>\n
