VILNIUS – US Energy Secretary Rick Perry warned Monday that the controversial Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline would increase Russia’s political influence on European Union foreign policy. On a visit to Lithuania to promote US energy ties with Eastern European nations, Perry said the pipeline carrying Russian gas to Germany “would deliver a stunning blow to Europe’s energy diversity and security.” “It would increase Russia’s leverage over Europe’s foreign policy and Europe’s vulnerability to a supply disruption,” Perry told an energy forum in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius.<\/blockquote>\r\n
Perry said the Baltic sea pipeline, together with the TurkStream pipeline \u2014 which will supply Russian gas to Turkey via the Black Sea \u2014 “would enable Moscow to end gas transit through Ukraine by the close of the decade.” “Nord Stream 2 is designed to drive a single source gas artery deep into Europe and [to drive] a stake through the heart of European stability and security,” Perry said. He said the United States “were ready, were willing and were able” to increase European energy security by providing alternative sources, notably liquified natural gas and civil nuclear capabilities. “We support multiple routes to deliver energy across Europe. Along with energy choice we support free and open markets… we oppose using energy to coerce any country,” he said.<\/blockquote>\r\n
Vilnius university professor Ramunas Vilpisauskas said that while the US criticism of Nord Stream was part of Washington’s drive to increase its own exports to Europe, it was also in line with the interests of a region dependent on Russian supplies. “A commercial aim to increase US exports to Europe seems to be the main reason for the criticism of Nord Stream and Turkstream,” Vilpisauskas told AFP.<\/blockquote>\r\n
“But from the point of view of Lithuania and other central European EU members, it is a win-win situation because they have been actively looking for possibilities to diversify sources of their imports.”<\/blockquote>\r\n

Germany is concerned about trade with the US and does not feel safer going towards US energy than Russian.<\/p>\r\n

He said that would go against Trump’s decision to withdraw the US from the Iran nuclear deal and his new sanctions against Tehran. Grenell didn’t care what Germany’s opinion was on those policies. Germans fear Donald Trump more than Vladimir Putin, poll finds<\/h2>\r\n15 July 2018<\/blockquote>\r\n
The United States may be Germany\u2019s No. 1 ally, but two-thirds of Germans think that the US president is more dangerous than his Russian counterpart. \u2026 When asked which world leader was the greater threat to world security, 64 percent of respondents chose US President Donald Trump over his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin. That\u2019s according to a YouGov poll published on the eve of Trump\u2019s meeting with Putin in Helsinki<\/a>.<\/blockquote>\r\n
And the German antipathy for Trump doesn\u2019t end there: 56 percent of respondents thought that Putin was more competent than Trump, with only 5 percent preferring the latter on that score. Thirty-six percent of Germans find Putin more likable than Trump, while 6 percent say the opposite \u2014\u00a0although most respondents refused to indicate a preference on that question.<\/blockquote>\r\n
And, perhaps most surprisingly, 44 percent said Putin was more powerful than Trump, compared with only 29 percent who thought the US president has more power.\u00a0 \u2026 The distrust of Trump\u2019s motivations and leadership capabilities is apparent in how Germans see the United States as a whole. In\u00a0a YouGov poll published earlier in July, Germans were asked whether they had a generally positive or negative view of the United States. Basically, Germany has concerns about US sanctions’ policies, tariffs and other trade policies, US withdraw from the Paris climate accords, and the US withdrawing from the Iranian nuclear deal. It sees Donald Trump’s negotiating style and does not want to become more dependent upon the US. It has less distrust of Russia. While US Energy Secretary Perry hopes to push Europe away from Russia, the Germans are not convinced.<\/p>\r\n

One of the world\u2019s top oil producers and exporters, Russia\u2019s Rosneft, is ditching the U.S. dollar for euros when it comes to all future deals. …<\/p>\r\n

The switch to euros is said to limit the company\u2019s vulnerability to potential future sanctions by the U.S., Reuters reported on Thursday.<\/p>\r\n

\u201cRosneft has recently adjusted all the new contracts for export supplies to euros. We\u2019ve been notified,\u201d a trader from a company that regularly buys from Rosneft told Reuters.<\/p>\r\n

Three more traders confirmed that Rosneft has chosen the euro as the default currency going forward.<\/p>\r\n

Since the benchmark oil prices are quoted in U.S. dollars, Rosneft is now asking traders to use Bloomberg\u2019s euro\/dollar exchange rate when calculating the final payment.<\/p>\r\n

\u201cRosneft used to have the euro as one of the options, but since last month it\u2019s the main option. We\u2019ve been notified, but still, it\u2019s a visible change,\u201d one trader said.<\/p>\r\n

It has long been my view that the Germans (and other Europeans) would make a deal with Russia against the US. We are seeing deals starting to take place.<\/p>\r\n

A decade or so after I came to the conclusion that the Germans\/Europeans would make a deal with Russia against the US, I saw for the first time the following items from the old Radio Church of God:<\/p>\r\n

Modern Europe is counseling and making treaties and alliances and agreements to conquer this earth! \u2026 Germany, those living in Germany, even the German government, may not yet know that they are going to join in a treaty with the Russians to destroy the United States and bring it to its knees-it is not in his \u201cheart\u201d to think so, but on the other hand it IS in his \u201cheart\u201d to destroy-the very characteristic of the Assyrian, the modern German, is a harsh, cruel, iron, dedication to militarism and destruction!<\/em> \u2026<\/blockquote>\r\n

The German people are now asking themselves: \u201cCan we rely on the Americans and British?\u201d \u2026 These questions lead to the logical conclusion that maybe the only people the Germans can rely on are themselves. They are now thinking: \u201cPerhaps we can strike a better bargain with the Russians ourselves.\u201d \u2026 Once a German-dominated Europe is fully established, Germany will be ready to negotiate and bargain with Russia- and behind the backs of the Western Allies if necessary. \u2026<\/blockquote>\r\n
When will a Russo-German deal be made?<\/blockquote>\r\n
Here is a quotation from a circular letter issued in September, 1950 by the Nazi Geo-political Center in Madrid: \u201cHowever long we may continue to milk the Americans of millions of dollars, there must come the inevitable moment when we shall have to make it crystal clear to them that we are not willing to join the fight against Russia for American interests \u2026 (Germany Plots with the Kremlin by T H. Terens, p. 15). \u2026 Most Americans and Britons are not aware of what Germany and Europe are planning against them. This is partly due to the cunning of German. politics. \u2026 World events are moving swiftly toward the climax when Great Britain and the United. States will be attacked, conquered and DESTROYED! Russia will make a deal with the Europeans that will not end well for the US. This deal could take place in just a relatively few years.<\/p>\r\n

A while back, a Russian Professor predicted that Russia would end up with Alaska:<\/p>\r\n

MOSCOW \u2014 For a decade, Russian academic Igor Panarin has been predicting the U.S. will fall apart \u2026 Prof. Panarin, 50 years old, is not a fringe figure. A former KGB analyst, he is dean of the Russian Foreign Ministry\u2019s academy for future diplomats \u2026<\/p>\r\n

When the going gets tough, he says, wealthier states will withhold funds from the federal government and effectively secede from the union. Social unrest up to and including a civil war will follow. The U.S. will then split along ethnic lines, and foreign powers will move in\u2026<\/p>\r\n

\u201cIt would be reasonable for Russia to lay claim to Alaska; it was part of the Russian Empire for a long time.\u201d A framed satellite image of the Bering Strait that separates Alaska from Russia like a thread hangs from his office wall. \u201cIt\u2019s not there for no reason,\u201d he says with a sly grin.<\/p>\r\n

It is certainly possible that if Russia makes a deal with the rising European Beast power that it may end up with Alaska. Notice the following prophecy:<\/p>\r\n

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain (Daniel 11:39).<\/span><\/blockquote>\r\n

The \u201che\u201d is the European King of the North (cf. Daniel 11:40) and the \u201cstrongest fortresses\u201d currently belong to the USA\u2013this shows the defeat of the US by Europe. Since Bible prophecy points to Anglo-lands being divided in various scriptures (for more than Daniel 11:39, see Will the Anglo-Nations be Divided?<\/a>), Russia may well end up with some of all of Alaska and maybe even parts of Canada. People do not realize who perturbed the Germans are getting with the USA. And this will not end well for the USA (Daniel 11:39) nor Germany (cf. Isaiah 10:12-19). Russia and the EU (European Union) still support the Iran nuclear deal, Paris Climate accords, and the World Trade Organization, despite Donald Trump\u2019s actions against them. Have there been comments to replace the USA\u2019s SWIFT system by the Russians and Germans? What is Russia\u2019s MIR payment system? What about talks for the EU to have trade and other arrangements with the EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union)? It remains my view that technological advances, which Europe is working on, will be a factor in its rise and its temporary dominance of the world economic scene.
