Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday underscored her commitment to NATO, pledging to raise Germany’s defense spending to the alliance’s 2% target “by the early 2030s.”<\/p>\n

“The preservation of NATO is in our own interest, more than during the Cold War,” Merkel said while addressing lawmakers in German parliament.<\/p>\n

“At the moment, Europe is unable to defend itself,” she added, urging the bloc to stay together. …<\/p>\n

Robert O’Brien, the national security counselor to US President Donald Trump, welcomed\u00a0\u00a0Germany’s commitment to NATO<\/a>,\u00a0in an interview with the German daily Bild<\/em>.<\/p>\n

“There\u2019s some good news with respect to the US-German relationship when it comes to NATO. Number one, the fact that Germany is increasing its funding and the US is decreasing its funding, so the US and Germany will fund NATO at parity,” he said.\u00a0 …<\/p>\n

While O’Brien acknowledged the pledge is a step in the right direction, he said: “It would be great if Germany took up its role as one of the leaders of the world.” As an economic power house,\u00a0“Germany has a duty to invest appropriately in defense for the benefit of its own defense and the defense of its alliance partners,” he said. https:\/\/www.dw.com\/en\/merkel-vows-to-hit-2-nato-spending-target-by-early-2030s\/a-51432189<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The USA needs to be careful what it wishes for. The Bible shows that Germany will rise up and be the force behind a temporarily united European Beast power. Germany’s commitment to NATO will only last a relatively few years, whereas it is truly committed to increasing its (and Europe’s) military power.<\/p>\n

The Bible shows that Europe will end up with “a great army.” Notice that from two Roman Catholic, two Protestant, and one Jewish translation of of a biblical prophecy:<\/p>\n

15 The king of the north … 25 He will summon up his might and courage against the king of the south with a great army (Daniel 11:15,25, NJB).<\/p>\n

15 And the king of the north … 25 And his strength and his heart shall be stirred up against the king of the south with a great army (Daniel 11:15,25, DRB).<\/p>\n

So, consider that the USA is encouraging this.<\/p>\n

Partially because of Donald Trump, various ones in Europe have taken some steps and agreed to take more responsibility for defense (e.g. PESCO: EU\u2019s alternative to NATO?<\/a> and Europe moving towards its own army \u2018Europe may soon produce its own Trumps\u2019<\/a> and With PESCO, EU entering a \u2018New Era\u2019: An era that will NOT end well for the USA, Canada, or the UK<\/a>). And that includes spending more so Europe can not only defend itself, but can one day invade many lands (cf. Daniel 11:31-43).<\/p>\n

Many see this European military change as reasonable and logical–particularly in the light of real and alleged threats from US President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

Yet for now, while European leaders appear to be supportive of NATO, in the end Europe will betray the NATO members of the USA, Canada, and UK.<\/p>\n

Consider the following prophecies:<\/p>\n

21 And in his place shall arise a vile person, to whom they will not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue. (Daniel 11:21)<\/p>\n

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain. … the king of the North (Daniel 11:39, 40)<\/p>\n

23 “And in the latter time of their kingdom,
\nWhen the transgressors have reached their fullness,
\nA king shall arise,
\nHaving fierce features,
\nWho understands sinister schemes.
\n24 His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power;
\nHe shall destroy fearfully,
\nAnd shall prosper and thrive;
\nHe shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.<\/p>\n

25 “Through his cunning
\nHe shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule;
\nAnd he shall exalt himself in his heart.
\nHe shall destroy many in their prosperity. (Daniel 8:23-25)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The above leader is the final European<\/a> King of the North Beast<\/a> power. He will eliminate the USA and the UK. He will seemingly feign military support for the USA and the UK.<\/p>\n

Europe<\/a> will need to reorganize, but the Bible tells of at least two more reorganizations to come in Europe in Revelation 17:2-13 (see also Must the Ten Kings of Revelation 17:12 Rule over Ten Currently Existing Nations?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Europe is moving in a military direction and Donald Trump is encouraging it. While Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton also encouraged this, their presence and rhetoric simply did not resonate with the Europeans as much as Donald Trump’s has.<\/p>\n

While some do not believe that Europe wants to destroy the USA or is capable of rising up to take over the USA, Canada, and the UK, consider the following two portions of scripture:<\/p>\n

5 “Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger
\nAnd the staff in whose hand is My indignation.
\n6 I will send him against an ungodly nation,
\nAnd against the people of My wrath
\nI will give him charge,
\nTo seize the spoil, to take the prey,
\nAnd to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
\n7 Yet he does not mean so,
\nNor does his heart think so;
\nBut it is in his heart to destroy,
\nAnd cut off not a few nations.
\n8 For he says,
\n‘Are not my princes altogether kings?
\n9 Is not Calno like Carchemish?
\nIs not Hamath like Arpad?
\nIs not Samaria like Damascus?
\n10 As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols,
\nWhose carved images excelled those of Jerusalem and Samaria,
\n11 As I have done to Samaria and her idols,
\nShall I not do also to Jerusalem and her idols?'” (Isaiah 10:5-11)<\/p>\n

2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him? (Revelation 13:2-4)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Bible shows that the European power (called Assyria in Isaiah 10; see also Germany in Biblical Prophecy<\/a>) does not think it intends to be militaristic, but that it will and will conquer. The Bible shows that the world will marvel that Europe was able to be such a military power as Europe basically had been dismissed as irrelevant.<\/p>\n

Here is something from my book Donald Trump and America\u2019s Apocalypse<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Donald Trump\u2019s foreign policy statements have unsettled many\u2014in the U.S.A. as well as foreign nations. He seems like he will more unpredictable than Richard Nixon.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is also something referred to as the \u201claw of unintended consequences.\u201d There are consequences for the U.S.A., Europe, and elsewhere that have and will occur because of Donald Trump\u2019s statements and actions.<\/span> …<\/p>\n

The United Kingdom, was an advocate for the USA and NATO, had vigorously opposed the development of a European army.<\/p>\n

Yet citing the Brexit vote and Donald Trump\u2019s election, we are seeing calls for an \u201cautonomous\u201d \u201cEuropean army.\u201d …<\/p>\n

Since the Bible says Europe will have a \u201cgreat army\u201d (Daniel 11:25), Europe will end up with a great army. Donald Trump\u2019s rise has encouraged some in Europe to more publicly promote this idea. Donald Trump seems to be a catalyst for that and other militaristic moves in Europe.<\/span> …<\/p>\n

While European leaders have begun to publicly challenge reliance on the USA, biblically, the time will once again come when Europe cannot be trusted militarily (Isaiah 10:5-11; Daniel 11:21-39; Lamentations 1:2). <\/span><\/p>\n

The USA, itself, has repeatedly shown the Europeans that it does not trust them, yet it sometimes will trust them too much. According to the Bible, the time will come when the USA will find that continental Europe will be an enemy (cf. Isaiah 10:5-11) and not an ally (Ezekiel 23:4,9-10; Lamentations 1:1-2). <\/span><\/p>\n

As I stated on the radio in 2016, I believe that Europe will cooperate with the USA as long as it feels the relationship is beneficial, and then (as prophecy foretells) turn against the USA.<\/span> …<\/p>\n

Daniel 11:30 suggests that a major western naval power will put on a display of force and that will upset the south-heading King of the North, who will then decide to enter at least the area where Jews are making sacrifices, perhaps in retaliation for that action and\/or to satisfy the complaints of his King of the South allies (vs. 27). A similar passage is in Numbers 24:24, which according to Numbers 24:14, is clearly for the latter times\u2014and in it, the Western naval power troubles descendants of Asshur\/Assyria, many of whom now are residing in Europe. …<\/p>\n

Unlike in Daniel 11:30, the King of the North meets no strong naval resistance in verse 31. This may be because he negotiated something with the U.S.A. to allow him (possibly with an \u201cantipope\u201d) to go to Jerusalem to broker\/enforce some kind of \u201cpeace in the Middle East.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yet, it is likely that the King of the North will do things that he had not told the U.S.A. he would do (such as go after the Philadelphian Christians and interfere with Jewish practices and\/or politics).<\/p>\n

This may then inflame the U.S.A. enough (as it may feel at least partially betrayed) that it may be one of the reasons that the King of the North decides on a \u201cblitzkrieg\u201d invasion of the U.S.A. and\/or its British-descended allies 30 days after stopping the daily sacrifices. The fact that the Europeans should be controlling at least part of the U.S.A.\u2019s global positioning capabilities next decade (U.S. and the EU to collaborate on the usage of Global Navigation Satellite Systems. Wire Update, BNO News, July 31, 2010) (the related agreement of which happened under may be enough to embolden the King, especially once he has developed other weapons technology.<\/p>\n

This King will employ deceit:<\/p>\n

21<\/sup> \u2026 he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue. (Daniel 11:21)<\/p>\n

23<\/sup> \u201cAnd in the latter time of their kingdom, When the transgressors have reached their fullness, A king shall arise, Having fierce features, Who understands sinister schemes. 24<\/sup> His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; He shall destroy fearfully, And shall prosper and thrive; He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.<\/p>\n

25<\/sup> \u201cThrough his cunning he shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule; And he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. (Daniel 8:23-25)<\/p>\n

The King of the North will deceitfully proclaim \u201cpeace and safety\u201d while plotting for the sudden destruction of those opposing him (1 Thessalonians 5:2\u20133). Some political and other leaders will be hoping for and believing in a false peace. The sudden destruction to come is likely to include a nuclear and\/or other high tech attack, and could possibly happen in conjunction with a NATO training or other exercise that would catch the U.S.A. and its Anglo-Saxon allies off guard. Other nations are likely to also be involved. …<\/p>\n

The time will come when the USA and NATO will be no more. NATO or other arrangements will give the Europeans cover for publicly preparing for a military event, while giving it the ability to publicly state that such preparations are only parts of an exercise. The Germans have historically used the element of surprise to gain military advantage\u2014remember WWII and blitzkrieg? Europe one day will turn on the USA (Lamentations 1:1-2, Daniel 11:39; Isaiah 10:5-12). (Thiel B. Donald Trump and America\u2019s Apocalypse<\/a>. Nazarene Books, 2017)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

For those that think that deceit and destruction cannot happen to the USA, understand that Daniel 11:39 shows that a European power will destroy the ‘strongest fortresses’–which in the 21st century belong to the USA, this shows that the USA will be defeated, despite its military strength (see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses<\/a>).<\/p>\n

In my book Donald Trump and America\u2019s Apocalypse<\/a>, I mentioned the term “blitzkrieg.” For those unfamiliar with the term blitzkrieg, it was a German war strategy utilized in World War II. Here is some information about it:<\/p>\n

Blitzkrieg means \u201clightning war\u201d. It was an innovative military technique first used by the Germans in World War Two<\/a> and was a tactic based on speed and surprise. Blitzkrieg relied on a military force be based around light tank<\/a> units supported by planes and infantry (foot soldiers). The tactic was based on Alfred von Schlieffen\u2019s \u2018Schlieffen Plan\u2019 \u2013 this was a doctrine formed during WWI that focused on quick miliatry victory. It was later developed in Germany by an army officer called Heinz Guderian<\/a> who looked at new technologies, namely dive bombers and light tanks, to improve the German army\u2019s manoeuvrability. \u2026<\/p>\n

Blitzkrieg was based on speed, co-ordination and movement; the major science of this approach was the ability to get large mobile forces through weak points in the enemies defences and then cause damage when behind his static lines. \u2026<\/p>\n

The Blitzkrieg was fundamentally about moving away from the tried and tested methods of modern warfare and creating a new, more effective doctrine. To that end, Hitler<\/a> had given his full backing to Guderian<\/a>. Ironically, he had got his idea for Blitzkrieg from two officers \u2013 one from France and one from Britain and he had copied and broadened what they had put on paper. \u2026In 1940<\/a>, Britain and France still had a World War One<\/a> mentality. http:\/\/www.historylearningsite.co.uk\/blitzkrieg.htm<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It is interesting to me that Germany got the blitzkrieg ideas from France and the UK. In other words, Germany got tactics and information from nations it was later going to invade. I expect the same in the future. It should be noted that the USA still has the \u2018cold war\u2019 mentality about the Germans and acts like they will always be USA allies. I read something a while back in the Wall Street Journal<\/em> where the writer could not fathom that Germans could consider that the USA is a threat. Many do not understand the mentality of the Germans and where all of this will lead (cf. Isaiah 10:5-12).<\/p>\n

As far as blitzkrieg goes, consider the following biblical prophecy:<\/p>\n

3 For when they say, \u201cPeace and safety!\u201d then sudden destruction comes upon them (1 Thessalonians 5:3)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In WWIII, I expect that the Germans will lead a type of blitzkrieg against the USA, the UK, and other Anglo-Saxon descended nations. It will be based upon technology, coordination, intelligence, and deception. It is likely that the attack will be under the guise of a NATO exercise and\/or otherwise feigned support.<\/p>\n

It is quite likely that some version of NATO will survive, but that Europe will use NATO as a shield from Russia, and eventually turn against the USA and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies. That will essentially be a fulfillment of the following:<\/p>\n

The princess among the provinces Has become a slave! <\/span>2<\/strong><\/span> She weeps bitterly in the night, Her tears are on her cheeks; Among all her lovers She has none to comfort her. All her friends have dealt treacherously with her; They have become her enemies. (Lamentations 1:1-2)

That will be the end of NATO and the USA.<\/p>\n

Germany is signalling that it is working towards a European military, even as it talks about NATO.<\/p>\n

On November 9, 2018, US President Donald Trump called that an insult, but the next day said that the USA wanted \u201ca very strong Europe.\u201d Emmanuel Macron referred to Donald Trump as \u201cmy friend\u201d and indicated a desire to strengthen Europe\u2019s military spending. In December 2017, 25 European nations agreed to be part of a military alliance called PESCO. Europe also has NATO and IEI. Will Europe end up with \u201ca great army\u201d? Has Donald Trump\u2019s announcement to withdraw from the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty gotten some to say that Europe must rebel against the USA? Remember that Lamentations 1:1-2, indicates that the USA will be betrayed and destroyed militarily by its \u201cfriends.\u201d Europe does not have to be stronger in all areas than the USA, only enough to win when the USA is not expecting it.<\/p>\n

NATO will not end well for the USA (Daniel 11:39) and its Anglo-descended allies (Daniel 8:24-25). Nor for that matter, many Muslim countries, nor even Europe (cf. Daniel 11:40-45; Revelation 17:14; Revelation 18-19).<\/p>\n
