There are more travel and other restrictions because of the novel coronavirus called COVID-19. Last night, US President Donald Trump announced a 30 day ban on flights from Europe–with the notable exception of the British Isles–and the Europeans were not pleased with that:<\/p>\n

ROME (AP) \u2014 Sweeping travel bans accelerated across the globe on Thursday, walling regions apart, keeping people inside their homes and slowing the engines of commerce in an effort to stem the viral pandemic unfolding around the world.<\/p>\n

President Donald Trump, who had downplayed the virus for weeks, suddenly struck a different tone, delivering a somber Oval Office address announcing strict rules on travel from much of Europe to begin this weekend. The State Department followed with an extraordinary warning to Americans to \u201creconsider travel abroad\u201d as well.<\/p>\n

The European Union quickly slammed Trump\u2019s \u201cunilateral\u201d decision, declaring that the coronavirus pandemic is a \u201cglobal crisis, not limited to any continent and it requires cooperation rather than unilateral action.\u201d<\/p>\n

The virus detected three months ago in China<\/a> has produced crippling outbreaks in Asia, Europe and the Mideast, ignited global financial panic and in the last week has seen dizzying developments that are erupting by the hour.\u00a0 …<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In California,<\/a> the governor advised cancelling any gatherings of more than 250 people, as well as any smaller meetings where people must be closer than 6 feet (2 meters).<\/p>\n

In Italy, the center of Europe\u2019s epidemic, new restrictions closed restaurants, cafes and retail shops Thursday after the prime minister imposed a nationwide lockdown on personal movement earlier in the week. Grocery stores, pharmacies and outdoor markets were allowed to operate, as were newspaper kiosks. …<\/p>\n

Even remote Mount Everest closed for business. Chinese mountaineering officials cancelled spring climbs from their side of the mountain, while on the other side in Nepal, operators say cancellations were pouring in. …<\/p>\n

German Chancellor Angela Merkel warned her nation that, over time, two-thirds of the country could become infected since people do not have immunity to COVID-19.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have called every day for countries to take urgent and aggressive action,\u201d said WHO\u2019s leader, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. \u201cWe have rung the alarm bell loud and clear.\u201d …<\/p>\n

In Europe, governments and airlines were blindsided by Trump\u2019s travel ban to the United States.<\/p>\n

Britain and Ireland were exempt, despite imposing far fewer restrictions in response to the virus than many EU countries, raising questions about the coherence of the American policy. Trump has properties in both nations.<\/p>\n

Trump accused Europe of not acting quickly enough to address the \u201cforeign virus\u201d and claimed that U.S. clusters were \u201cseeded\u201d by European travelers.<\/p>\n

European Union leaders aired frustration Thursday over\u00a0President Trump<\/a>\u2019s decision to restrict travel from\u00a0European countries due to coronavirus<\/a>, accusing the president of keeping them in the dark. …<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Coronavirus is a global crisis, not limited to any continent and it requires cooperation rather than unilateral action,\u201d EU Council President Charles Michel and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said in a statement. \u201cThe European Union disapproves of the fact that the U.S. decision to impose a travel ban was taken unilaterally and without consultation. WHITE HOUSE – After the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus a pandemic and U.S. stocks plunged into a bear market, U.S. President Donald Trump announced new economic measures and a European travel ban intended to calm an increasingly nervous nation.<\/p>\n

In a nationally broadcast evening address, only the second of his 38-month-old administration, Trump said \u201cwe are marshaling the full power of the federal government and the private sector to protect the American people. This is the most aggressive and comprehensive effort to confront a foreign virus in modern history.\u201d …<\/p>\n

Trump also announced that effective Friday at midnight, travel from Europe to the United States would be suspended for 30 days.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese restrictions will be adjusted subject to conditions on the ground,\u201d Trump said. \u201cThere will be exemptions for Americans who have undergone appropriate screenings.\u201d<\/p>\n

The United Kingdom will be exempt from the temporary travel ban, Trump said.<\/p>\n

The presidential order suspends the entry of most foreign nationals who have been in certain European countries at any point during the 14 days before their scheduled arrival to the United States.<\/p>\n

The countries include Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland, according to the Department of Homeland Security, which clarified this \u201cdoes not apply to legal permanent residents, (generally) immediate family members of U.S. citizens, and other individuals who are identified in the proclamation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can reduce the chance of infection, which we will significantly impede the transmission of the virus,\u201d said Trump in the address, which lasted less than 10 minutes. \u201cThe virus will not have a chance against us. No nation is more prepared, or more resilient than the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n

European Council President Charles Michel said Thursday the EU would assess the situation and that \u201ceconomic disruption must be avoided.\u201d<\/p>\n

Let me add that Israel announced this week that it is quarantining all visitors for two weeks, Switzerland and Austria have closed their borders with Italy, and other European nations have imposed various travel restrictions.<\/p>\n

That being said, Europe is not pleased with the USA over this.<\/p>\n

Irrespective of his plans for COVID-19, Donald Trump also seems to be sending a message to the European Union that he will take tough actions. And they need to realize that when it comes to trade.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Donald Trump had to know that Europe has been teetering on recession, and its travel industry had already been hit hard by COVID-19. This latest travel ban will hurt Europe even more.<\/p>\n

Regarding the travel ban, Europeans are not pleased. Notice also the following:<\/p>\n

US President Donald Trump has announced sweeping travel restrictions on 26 European countries in a bid to combat the spread of the coronavirus.<\/p>\n

The ban applies to travellers from countries which are members of the Schengen border-free travel area.<\/a><\/p>\n

The UK, Ireland and other non-Schengen countries are unaffected. US citizens are also exempt.<\/p>\n

A number of European officials said they were not informed about the travel ban, with one diplomat telling Reuters under condition of anonymity that \u201cthere was no heads up, no coordination as the president claimed.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Belgian Ambassador to the US Dirk Wouters, however, told CNN that he was aware \u201csomething was coming on travel from Europe,\u201d<\/em> but added: \u201cWhat is not understandable is the exception for the UK and the lack of national measures [domestically].\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Only after the televised announcement did the Trump administration notify other European ambassadors through the State Department, but according to one diplomat who spoke to CNN, they \u201chave not yet [provided] answers to our questions.\u201d<\/em> https:\/\/www.rt.com\/usa\/482889-trump-cororavirus-adress-measures\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The US travel ban not only could push Europe into a financial crisis, it is another move separating the US from the bulk of the continental Europeans. They will not forgive and forget this.<\/p>\n

There has long been a \u2018special relationship\u2019 between the USA and UK (cf. Genesis 48; watch also Fraternal Relationship between the USA & UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand?<\/a>)–and Donald Trump’s travel exemption is consistent with that.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that the descendants of the UK dominate not only the UK, but nations such as Canada, Australia, and New Zealand today.<\/p>\n

Consider that shortly after taking office, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said the USA and Canada were \u201csiblings\u201d at a state dinner (see Justin Trudeau: USA and Canada are \u2018siblings\u2019; Barack Obama straining \u2018special relationship\u2019 with UK<\/a>). Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau probably does not fully understand how the USA and Canada actually are siblings\u2013it is not because of a shared border\u2013but because their ancestors were brothers. But his observation is consistent with scripture.<\/p>\n

Even former US President Barack Obama stated that the UK was a \u201cblood brother\u201d of the USA (see USA\u2019s Obama reportedly calls UK \u2018blood brother\u2019 and urges pro-EU vote; London\u2019s Johnson calls him perverse and Kenyan<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The Bible tells of two siblings, the brothers Ephraim and Manasseh, who were the sons of Joseph. And they received blessings from Joseph\u2019s father Jacob, whose name was changed by God to Israel:<\/p>\n

13 And Joseph took them both, Ephraim with his right hand toward Israel\u2019s left hand, and Manasseh with his left hand toward Israel\u2019s right hand, and brought them near him. 14 Then Israel stretched out his right hand<\/strong> and laid it on Ephraim\u2019s head, who was the younger, and his left hand on Manasseh\u2019s head, guiding his hands knowingly, for Manasseh was the firstborn. 15 And he blessed Joseph, and said<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\u201cGod, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, The God who has fed me all my life long to this day, 16 The Angel who has redeemed me from all evil, Bless the lads; Let my name be named upon them<\/strong>\u2026(Genesis 48:13-16).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Because of this, sometimes when the Bible uses the term \u2018Israel\u2019 it can be referring to the descendants of Ephraim and Manasseh, and they include the Anglo-nations. Ephraim is the progenitor of the British people, which includes the Anglo-Saxons of the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. Manasseh the progenitor of the USA, also sometimes referred to in prophecy as Samaria\u2013like ancient Samaria, the USA is quite a mix of peoples. The USA and the UK-descended peoples are brothers in the sense that their main progenitors were actual brothers (see also Anglo \u2013 America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Notice more about the relationship going further back in a speech given by Winston Churchill on March 5, 1946:<\/p>\n

Now, while still pursuing the method of realising our overall strategic concept, I come to the crux of what I have travelled here to Say. Neither the sure prevention of war, nor the continuous rise of world organisation will be gained without what I have called the fraternal association of the English-speaking peoples. So, Winston Churchill said that this was a special fraternal relationship\u2013a relationship of brothers.<\/p>\n

Winston Churchill was right that the USA and UK have a special relationship, Barack Obama was right about the UK being a blood brother of the USA, and Justin Trudeau was right that the USA and Canada are siblings. Since World War II, the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand have closely cooperated in international espionage–more so together than with the continental Europeans. They have been referred to as the \u201cfive eyes\u201d essentially meaning that all five of those nations see and share what they see. This was basically confirmed by something that came out because of the Snowden leaks. It is only the Anglo-descended nations that the USA has specifically exempted from\u201dspy attacks\u201d:<\/p>\n

According to an NSA document dated September 2010, only a few countries labeled as close friends by the U.S. are explicitly exempted from monitoring \u2013 Britain, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. http:\/\/www.voanews.com\/content\/germany-calls-allegations-of-us-bugging-unacceptable\/1692522.html<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

An NSA document from 2010 made clear that only the Anglo-nations are trusted as close friends. European leaders did not like this and will not forget this.<\/p>\n

Back in 2013, the Council on Foreign Relations<\/em> had the following at its site related to the Snowden leaks and US espionage:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe damage is hard to overstate. This is not just the US bugging a head of government who happens to be a close ally and Europe\u2019s pivotal leader. She also grew up under the German Democratic Republic and the surveillance of the Stasi secret police<\/a>. She is right to regard this revelation as a serious breach of trust,\u201d writes the Financial Times <\/em>in an editorial.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is much talk today about the risks of a new era of American isolationism and a lack of U.S. leadership in the world<\/a>. It is important to remember that isolationism can be triggered not only by a potential retreat from global affairs, but also by the rather imprudent use of America\u2019s hard and soft power on the world stage,\u201d writes Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg for Project Syndicate.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are not reassured by the often-heard explanation that everyone spies on everyone else all the time. We are not advocating a return to 1929 when Secretary of State Henry Stimson banned the decryption of diplomatic cables because \u2018gentlemen do not read each other\u2019s mail.\u2019 But there has long been an understanding that international spying was done in pursuit of a concrete threat to national security<\/a>,\u201d the New York Times<\/em> writes in an editorial. http:\/\/www.cfr.org\/about\/newsletters\/archive\/newsletter\/n1534<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The espionage scandal involving the USA hurt then and will hurt it more in the future. Karl Guttenberg is a German who was temporarily living in the USA, and is one I have wondered about possibly being the final King of the North<\/a> (see also Might German Baron Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg become the King of the North?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

What many Europeans want is that the USA will treat them the same way they treat the Anglo-nations:<\/p>\n

Confronted with European fury at US spying<\/a>, Washington is divided over whether its allies\u2019 anger is genuine or a calculation that they can use the revelations to change the terms of intelligence sharing and targeting\u2026.<\/p>\n

Underlying the debate over Ms Merkel are longstanding and deep tensions over intelligence sharing between the US and European nations such as Germany and France.<\/p>\n

The US has for decades, and with few interruptions, shared intelligence with four other countries, the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, under the so-called \u201cfive eyes\u201d agreement<\/a> which includes a proviso that they do not spy on each other.<\/p>\n

\u201cGermany and France have long resented this special relationship in intelligence,\u201d said Tim Naftali, of the New America Foundation. \u201cBut the question is whether [France and Germany] would be able to accept the co-ordination of their foreign policies that comes along with the agreement.\u201d<\/p>\n

The United Kingdom \u2013 United States of America Agreement<\/strong> (UKUSA<\/strong>,\u2026is a multilateral agreement for cooperation in signals intelligence between the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. But continental Europe is distant for the USA and UK. The Brexit<\/a> vote and the rise of Donald Trump have further increased the distance between the UK\/USA and the rest of Europe.<\/p>\n

This is also serving to drive the USA and UK closer together.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump was the most influential leader outside of the UK that backed the Brexit<\/a> vote. Donald Trump also wants to see the EU break-apart. Donald Trump wants to change international trade in ways that the EU does not want. Donald Trump\u2019s military comments, foreign policies, and other statements have helped push the EU closer together, as well as led the Europeans to decide that they need to better arm themselves. What happened this week related to NATO (see Donald Trump, Europe, and NATO<\/a>\u00a0and Donald Trump declares victory with NATO, but . . .<\/a>) confirms what I have long been saying about this.<\/p>\n

The EU is now angry at the UK and the USA. The EU wants to punish the UK for Brexit<\/a> as it does not want any other nation to pull out of the EU.<\/p>\n

Now, without the EU’s blessing, Donald Trump blocked their airline travel and will hurt their travel industry, while making an important exception for the UK.<\/p>\n

These factors and more are driving the UK and USA to look more towards each other and less towards Europe. While the EU is not considered to be a common enemy of the USA\/UK in a current military sense, both the USA and UK are treating the EU as a potential economic enemy.<\/p>\n

Yes, COVID-19 looks to be another factor driving the Europeans together and apart from the USA and UK.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, because of COVID-19, the World Health Organization and certain French locations have told people to switch from cash to digital forms of payment. This, thus, looks to be a factor in the rise of 666 (Revelation 13:16-18).<\/p>\n
