Government issues historic restrictions amid virus outbreak<\/h2>\n

March 17, 2020<\/p>\n

Shutdowns swept across the United States, with nearly 7 million people in the San Francisco area all but confined to their homes Tuesday, even as spring break crowds flooded a Florida beach and dozens lined up to pose for pictures in front of the world-famous \u201cWelcome to Las Vegas\u201d sign.<\/p>\n

The official reaction to the coronavirus emergency varied dramatically from place to place in the U.S., despite new, more urgent warnings from the Trump administration, which called on Americans not to gather in groups of more than 10 and advised older people to stay home. …<\/p>\n

With the U.S. economy shuddering to a near-halt, the Dow Jones Industrial Average plummeted nearly 3,000 points Monday, or 13%, its biggest one-day percentage loss since the Black Monday crash of 1987.<\/p>\n

The rapid work stoppage had Americans fretting about their jobs and their savings, threatened to overwhelm unemployment benefit programs, and heightened fears the country could plunge into a recession.<\/p>\n

The president acknowledged for the first time that the outbreak may send the economy into a recession and suggested that the nation may be dealing with the virus until July or August. ..<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, millions of Americans were holed up at home, with many thrown out of work until further notice as the list of businesses forced to close across the U.S. extended to restaurants, bars, gyms and casinos.<\/p>\n

Officials in six San Francisco Bay Area counties issued a \u201cshelter-in-place\u201d order affecting millions, requiring most residents to stay inside and venture out only for food, medicine or exercise for three weeks \u2014 the most drastic measure taken yet in the U.S. to curb the spread of the virus.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know today\u2019s order is a radical step. It has to be. We need to act now, all of us,\u201d said Dr. Grant Colfax, director of the San Francisco Health Department. https:\/\/apnews.com\/8e1fc6723f531107f9390a631e83ee68<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This is essentially unprecedented for the USA. And the ease that much of the population is accepting totalitarian controls is demonstrating that the biblically prophesied 666 control in Europe will not be as difficult as some have suggested.<\/p>\n

Of course, not all are accepting such quarantines in the USA or Europe.<\/p>\n

So, governments are having police and military officials ‘persuade’ people to do what they want.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, in France a form must be filled out to travel and various travel limitations are to be enforced by 100,000 police and other officials (the form is below):<\/p>\n

Mandatory confinement, requiring use of the form, will come into force across the country today (Tuesday March 17) from midday.<\/p>\n

How will it be checked?<\/h4>\n

There will be fixed checkpoints and moving checkpoints on major roads, secondary roads and pedestrian routes across the entire country; manned by 100,000 police and gendarmes. …<\/p>\n

Interior minister Christophe Castaner said<\/strong><\/a>: \u201cThe order is clear: \u2018Stay at home\u2019…Our objective is not to punish, but to call the responsibility of everyone…to show collective citizenship to overcome the crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n

He warned: \u201cWe do not want to punish, but if we need to, we will.\u201d<\/p>\n

The coronavirus pandemic is continuing to spread in France.<\/p>\n

Though the above likely will not last too long, please understand that more and more totalitarian controls will be put in place.<\/p>\n

Plus, we are seeing societal changes reminiscent of George Orwell’s 1984<\/em> as well as Adolf Hitler’s reign.<\/p>\n

As far as a \u2018surveillance police state\u2019 goes, this is something that Church of God writers have expected for some time.<\/p>\n

Decades ago, an article titled ENTERING THE AGE OF TERROR<\/span><\/em> in the old Plain Truth magazine in June 1977 said that as a response to terrorism we may see \u201cthat the inevitable result would be a repressive, authoritarian police state and the loss of civil liberties.\u201d This has been occurring.<\/span><\/p>\n

Notice also the following from the old Radio\/Worldwide Church of God:<\/p>\n

Numerous world-famous scientists and economists see a stern picture of the future. \u2026 they see, and tell us humanity\u2019s one great problem, now, is the QUESTION OF SURVIVAL. \u2026<\/p>\n

Many scientists and world leaders \u2026 say the solution now demands a WORLD GOVERNMENT. There is one thing wrong with this solution. That world supergovernment would have to be given the power of a world police force to enforce its laws, and it would have to maintain the ONLY military force in the world\u2014all nations would have to surrender their armies, navies and air forces to this one SUPERSTATE. In a word, every nation would have to surrender its national sovereignty absolutely. And WHAT MAN could be accepted by all as WORLD RULER? It would, mind you, be a world POLICE STATE. (Armstrong HW. World government \u2026 totalitarian state of the worst magnitude. As the Wall Street Journal put it some years ago: \u201cIt follows that for a world government to be effective, it would have to possess powers of compulsion undreamed-of in history\u2019s worst nightmares \u2026. No matter who were the magistrates of the world-state, they would have to trample on so many national and individual aspirations and attitudes, would have to deploy such an army of enforcers, that the most probable upshot would be a police-state on a colossal scale \u2026\u201d (Wall Street Journal editorials, November 14, 1963 and September 14, 1965).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The above was written in the 20th century, when the technology for police-state controls were nothing like we see now.<\/p>\n

Parts of a surveillance police state are in place already.<\/p>\n

The technology exists to make it worse.<\/p>\n

The end result will be bad.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Bible tells of a time what a totalitarian leader will arise in Europe.<\/p>\n

While Europe likes to consider itself a democracy, it will truly become a dictatorship.<\/p>\n

The Bible shows that this Beast power rises up after a reorganization:<\/p>\n

In a sense, the Beast is ‘elected,’ sort of similar to how the USA initially selected its first president (it was the Senate, and not voters at large, who selected George Washington).<\/p>\n

Now when does this happen?<\/p>\n

After the Gospel of the Kingdom of God<\/a> has sufficiently reached the world the end comes when the Beast will gain more control (Matthew 24:14-22, Revelation 13) and more totalitarian controls will be put in place.

Notice financial controls that are coming:<\/p>\n

15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.<\/p>\n
