The precise number of bombs stored in the underground vaults in the air base is unclear. Estimates range between 15 to 20, and their location is a state secret. …<\/p>\n

The German government has never officially confirmed the existence of the nuclear bombs in B\u00fcchel. Indeed, parliamentarians would risk prosecution on the grounds of divulging a state secret, should they officially acknowledge their location.<\/p>\n

On the record, the Germany government only admits to being part of what is officially termed a “nuclear sharing agreement.” …<\/p>\n

This agreement \u2014 American bombs guarded by American soldiers on a German base but flown by crews and planes of Germany’s military forces, the Bundeswehr \u2014 dates back to the Cold War and NATO’s nuclear deterrence strategy aimed at keeping the Soviet Union at bay. …<\/p>\n

While the precise number of American bombs stored in Europe is unknown, estimates put them at roughly 150. Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Italy are all part of the sharing agreement. …<\/p>\n

The modernization program, which will see the old bombs being dismantled and new ones delivered to American military sites in the US and across the world, is extremely expensive. “It’s the most expensive gravity bomb that the US has ever built,” according to Kristensen. “Some people have calculated that it would be cheaper to build the bomb in solid gold.”<\/p>\n

The new bomb \u2014 the B-61-12 \u2014 will have “significantly enhanced capabilities,” says Kristensen: It is equipped with a tail kit, which enables it to be delivered and hit its target much more accurately. Kristensen has modeled its accuracy at about 30 to 60 meters (98 to 196 feet). …<\/p>\n

It remains unclear when Germany will actually receive the bomb, as there has been a delay in the production of the bombs in the US, due to problems reproducing components according to Kristensen. Last month, French President Macron said he wants Europe to have more nuclear weapons and not rely on the USA for that:<\/p>\n

He was referring specifically to Europe’s nuclear assets<\/a>, pointing out a key difference to the Cold War era when Europe’s nuclear shield was primarily coordinated by the US. “Now we have to be able to say clearly that if we want a sovereign Europe, if we want to protect our citizens, then we do need to look at that aspect, also with a view to Germany,” he said. …<\/p>\n

While Macron believed Europe required “the ability to act” independently, he felt nuclear issues needed to be managed in cooperation with NATO<\/a>. “In this framework we’re willing to conduct joint exercises,” he said. “Because the goal of that is a joint strategic culture.” https:\/\/www.dw.com\/en\/munich-security-conference-frances-macron-envisions-new-era-of-european-strength\/a-52389586<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Germany\u2019s armed forces are currently studying the possibility of acquiring nuclear bombers capable of using the new American B61-12atomic bombs.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Pentagon itself plans to deploy these new atomic bombs in the German region of Eifel, in violation of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.<\/p>\n

The German air force already has multi-tasking Tornado warplanes, which are already capable of deploying American atomic bombs. But those aircraft are going to be replaced, possibly, by European-developed Eurofighters, or by United States manufactured F\/A-18 Super Hornets. …<\/p>\n

Could the USA, UK, and Canada actually be hit by nuclear weapons from Europe?<\/p>\n

Back in 1979, the late Herbert W. Armstrong<\/a> claimed that the Great Tribulation would begin with a nuclear attack against the UK and\/or USA and then Canada. Notice:<\/p>\n

While we are starting to see a united Europe, as well as a Europe working on its military (see With PESCO, EU entering a \u2018New Era\u2019: An era that will NOT end well for the USA, Canada, or the UK<\/a>), Europe already really has a lot of nuclear weapons that it could use to do this or something similar.<\/p>\n

When my wife and I first visited the Netherlands in 1983, we learned that some there were upset that American nuclear weapons were expected to end up being stored there. And this nuclear weapons storage did happen.<\/p>\n

It is Europe’s dirty secret that the list of nuclear-capable countries extends beyond those that have built their own weapons \u2014 Britain, France and Russia. The truth is that Belgium, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands store nuclear bombs on their air-force bases and have planes capable of delivering them. There are an estimated 200 B-61 thermonuclear-gravity bombs scattered across these four countries. Under a NATO agreement struck during the Cold War, the bombs, which are owned by the U.S., can be transferred to the control of a host nation’s air force in time of conflict. According to Global Research out of Canada, the amount of nuclear weapons could be higher than the Time<\/em> article indicated:<\/p>\n

The US has supplied some 480 B61 thermonuclear bombs to five so-called \u201cnon-nuclear states\u201d, including Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey. Casually disregarded by the Vienna based UN Nuclear Watchdog (IAEA), the US has actively contributed to the proliferation of nuclear weapons in Western Europe…<\/p>\n

Among the five \u201cundeclared nuclear states\u201d, \u201cGermany remains the most heavily nuclearized country with three nuclear bases (two of which are fully operational) and may store as many as 150 [B61 bunker buster] bombs\u201d (Ibid). In accordance with \u201cNATO strike plans\u201d (mentioned above) these tactical nuclear weapons are also targeted at the Middle East.<\/p>\n

While Germany is not categorized officially as a nuclear power, it produces nuclear warheads for the French Navy. It stockpiles nuclear warheads (made in America) and it has the capabilities of delivering nuclear weapons. Moreover, The European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company \u2013 EADS<\/a> , a Franco-German-Spanish joint venture, controlled by Deutsche Aerospace and the powerful Daimler Group is Europe\u2019s second largest military producer, supplying .France\u2019s M51 nuclear missile.<\/p>\n

Germany imports and deploys nuclear weapons from the US. It also produces nuclear warheads which are exported to France. Yet it is classified as a non-nuclear state. (Chassudovsky M.
