WASHINGTON – U.S President Donald Trump has extended social distancing and other coronavirus-fighting guidelines through April 30, saying what has been done so far is saving lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe better you do, the faster this whole nightmare will end,\u201d Trump said Sunday moving the daily coronavirus briefing from the White House press room outside to the Rose Garden.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want our life back again,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The initial two-week period of government-recommended mitigation was set to expire Monday.<\/p>\n

US death rate <\/strong><\/p>\n

Trump predicted that the U.S. death rate will peak in two weeks and said the country will be \u201cwell on our way to recovery\u201d by June 1.<\/p>\n

Trump had said he wanted the country back in business by Easter, April 12, saying he didn\u2019t want the cure of an economic shutdown to be worse than the disease.<\/p>\n

He backed away from that promise Sunday, now calling that Easter deadline \u201caspirational.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump said he will have more details on extending the guidance on Tuesday and also promised \u201cinteresting things\u201d will be announced over the next few weeks, telling people they will be \u201camazed.\u201d …<\/p>\n

As of early Monday, Johns Hopkins University statistics showed 142,000 confirmed cases in the United States with more than 2,500 deaths.<\/p>\n

Coronavirus task force member Dr. Deborah\u00a0Birx\u00a0said up to 2.2 million Americans could die, and perhaps more, if people did not take social distancing and other measures seriously.<\/p>\n

Trump also thanked the Food and Drug Administration for its speedy approval of a new coronavirus test that he says produces \u201clightning-fast\u201d results in five minutes.<\/p>\n

He called the test a \u201cwhole new ballgame\u201d and said the reason the United States leads the world in confirmed coronavirus cases is because it has done the most testing, although the country trails South Korea and Italy in the number of tests administered per capita. https:\/\/www.voanews.com\/science-health\/coronavirus-outbreak\/turnaround-trump-extends-us-coronavirus-social-distance<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But the economic costs to the USA in terms of lost production and massively increased debt will harm the USA (cf. Habakkuk 2:6-8).<\/p>\n

Furthermore, nations around the world are taking economic hits. The damage being done to Europe looks to be a factor that will help lead to it prophesied reorganization (Revelation 17:12-13; Must the Ten Kings of Revelation 17:12 Rule over Ten Currently Existing Nations?<\/a>) as well as ‘666’ control of money (Revelation 13:16-18; watch also COVID-19 Leading to 666?<\/a>).<\/p>\n
