COGwriter<\/a><\/p>\n In its update read yesterday<\/a>, LCG<\/a> reported:<\/p>\n Water Everywhere! <\/strong>The record rains that flooded huge parts of Australia\u2019s northeast state of Queensland are now moving across the southeast state of Victoria toward the sea.\u00a0The flood waters have created an \u201cinland sea\u201d some 55 miles long and 24 miles wide that has closed coal mines and swamped large areas of valuable agricultural land\u2014in what has become \u201cthe nation\u2019s most expensive natural disaster in history\u201d (telegraph.co.uk<\/em>, January 24, 2011).\u00a0Across the Indian Ocean, flooding in eight of South Africa\u2019s nine provinces has saturated farms and disrupted rail transport, which has affected coal, maize and chrome exports.\u00a0The flooding in Australia and South Africa has brought death, destruction and rising prices for food and coal.\u00a0Some parts of South Africa have received two to three times their normal amount of rain.\u00a0Long ago, God warned, \u201cif you do not obey the voice of the Lord\u2026 to observe carefully all His commandments \u2026 cursed<\/em> shall you be in the city, and cursed<\/em> shall you be in the country\u201d (Deuteronomy 28:15-19).\u00a0Jesus also prophesied that natural<\/em> disasters<\/em> would increase just before His return (Matthew 24:7; Mark 13:8).\u00a0Global events are moving in that direction!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Other areas, like Pakistan, have really been hard hit because of floods:<\/p>\n There have also been flooding problems in the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Brazil, and elsewhere this year (LCG on Australia Flood, More than 500 Dead in Brazil, Plus Philippines and Sri Lanka<\/a>).<\/p>\n Jesus, of course, warned about a time with such issues that many in the world are nows facing:<\/p>\n 8 \u2026 And there will be\u2026<\/strong>famines and troubles<\/strong>. These are the beginnings of sorrows.
