“Elections are about the future,” Pelosi, a Democrat from California, said in a three-minute-long video<\/a> announcing her endorsement. “Now more than ever, we need a forward looking, battle-testing leader who will fight for the people. A president with the values, experience and the strategic thinking to bring our nation together and build a better, fair world for our children.”<\/p>\n

Pelosi said Biden will be an “extraordinary president” and cited his work with U.S. service members and veterans, and victims of gun violence as evidence that he is the “personification of hope and courage, values, authenticity and integrity.” https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/nancy-pelosi-endorses-joe-biden-president\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As far as ‘values’ go, last year, Voice of America<\/em> reported the following:<\/p>\n

Former Vice President Joe Biden announced Thursday he will seek the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, instantly catapulting him to the top of an increasingly crowded Democratic field vying to challenge U.S. President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

” The core values of this nation\u2026 our standing in the world\u2026 our very democracy…everything that has made America — America –is at stake. That\u2019s why today I\u2019m announcing my candidacy for President of the United States,” Biden said in a message posted on Twitter. …<\/p>\n

Biden\u2019s experience in the areas of foreign affairs, criminal justice and domestic policy is unmatched by other presidential candidates.<\/p>\n

But the 76-year-old politician\u2019s old-school style of glad-handing and pressing the flesh recently came back to haunt him, when at least seven women, including a one-time candidate for lieutenant governor in Nevada, accused him of inappropriate touching, hugs and kissing at public events. While Biden has defended his past behavior as consistent with his lifelong effort to make a \u201chuman connection\u201d with women and men alike, he pledged in a recent video to be \u201cmindful\u201d of people\u2019s boundaries going forward.<\/p>\n

The ‘core values’ of the USA have been more and more dismissed and Joe Biden, like others running for the US presidency, is not one who understands what they were or what they should be.<\/p>\n

From right to life, freedom of religion, and certain other claimed values of the USA, Joseph Biden simply does not stand for them (note: that is NOT an endorsement of Donald Trump).<\/p>\n

In general, the predominant media outlets have been pro-Biden. But Newsweek<\/em> did post this a couple of days ago:<\/p>\n

Joe Biden’s critics are blasting CNN for failing to uncover archival footage that they say would help corroborate Tara Reade’s allegations that the former vice president sexually assaulted her in 1993.<\/p>\n

Video resurfaced this week from an August 11, 1993 Larry King Live<\/em> segment in which an unnamed woman, purportedly Reade’s mother, called in from San Luis Obispo, California to speak with panelists who were discussing the treacherous world of Washington politics and media. The recently uncovered CNN video shows Reade’s mother telling host Larry King and his panelists: “I’m wondering what a staffer would do besides go to the press in Washington, my daughter has just left there after working for a prominent senator and could not get through with her problems at all and the only thing she could have done is go to the press and she chose not to out of respect for him.”<\/p>\n

“So in other words, she had a story to tell, but out of respect for the person she worked for she didn’t tell it?” King asked, prompting the unidentified woman to affirm her remark.<\/p>\n

The long-forgotten CNN clip was uncovered by The Intercept<\/em> Friday<\/a>, prompting Biden’s critics — particularly those in the progressive wing of the Democratic Party–to double down on their accusations that so-called mainstream media outlets are burying Reade’s allegations to protect the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. Biden and his campaign have categorically denied<\/a> those accusations of the alleged incident, which Reade said occurred while working as a Senate staffer for Biden in 1993. …<\/p>\n

New York Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been one of the most vocal progressive critics of Biden — a wing of the Democratic Party that largely opposed Hillary Clinton’s candidacy in 2016. Ocasio-Cortez has recently accused the party of failing to treat Reade’s accusations<\/a>. “If we again want to have integrity, you can’t say, you know, both believe women, support all of this, until it inconveniences you,” she said at the time. https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/new-biden-accuser-tape-cnn-silence-stir-discord-among-sanders-democrats-1500235<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
