The WHO had a problem with one of its top leaders who used excess fear to promote flu vaccines of a company he had ties to. He was replaced after the EU opened an inquiry. There should not be a one size fits all to reopening but reopen we must because it&#8217;s not health versus the economy. It&#8217;s health versus healthy,&#8221; he said, adding there were serious health consequences to not reopening. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aol.com\/article\/news\/2020\/05\/17\/no-spike-in-coronavirus-in-places-reopening-us-health-secretary-says\/24335876\/\">https:\/\/www.aol.com\/article\/news\/2020\/05\/17\/no-spike-in-coronavirus-in-places-reopening-us-health-secretary-says\/24335876\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Over in Europe, some are realizing that their economies can&#8217;t really wait for a potential COVID-19 vaccine. The <em>Associated Press <\/em>reported the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"Component-h1-0-2-37\">European leaders are blunt: A vaccine won\u2019t come soon enough<\/h2>\n<p>May 17, 2020<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-202 Component-p-0-2-194\">SOAVE, Italy (AP) \u2014 In separate, stark warnings, two major European leaders have bluntly told their citizens that the world needs to adapt to living with the coronavirus and cannot wait to be saved by the development of a vaccine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-202 Component-p-0-2-194\">The comments by Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson came as nations around the world and U.S. states are both struggling with restarting economies blindsided by the pandemic. With 36 million newly unemployed in the U.S. alone, economic pressures are building even as authorities acknowledge that reopening risks off new waves of infections and deaths.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-202 Component-p-0-2-194\">Pushed hard by Italy\u2019s regional leaders and weeks in advance of an earlier timetable, Conte is allowing restaurants, bars and beach facilities to open Monday, the same day that church services can resume and shops reopen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-202 Component-p-0-2-194\">\u201dWe are facing a calculated risk, in the awareness &#8230; that the epidemiological curve could go back up,\u201d Conte said late Saturday. \u201cWe are confronting this risk, and we need to accept it, otherwise we would never be able to relaunch.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-202 Component-p-0-2-194\">Conte added that <a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/ce64dcb5fe87e2bbef03d231d2055c0d\">Italy could \u201cnot afford\u201d to wait until a vaccine was developed. <\/a> Health experts say the world could be months, if not years, away from having a vaccine available to everyone despite the scientific gold rush now on to create such a vaccine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-202 Component-p-0-2-194\">\u201cWe would find ourselves with our social and productive fabric heavily damaged,\u201d Conte said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-202 Component-p-0-2-194\">Italy\u2019s economy is forecast to contract 9% this year due to the coronavirus amid a long, strict lockdown.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-202 Component-p-0-2-194\">For his part, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who was hospitalized last month with a serious bout of COVID-19, speculated Sunday that a vaccine may not be developed at all, despite the huge global effort to produce one.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-202 Component-p-0-2-194\">\u201cI said we would throw everything we could at finding a vaccine,\u201d Johnson wrote in the Mail on Sunday newspaper. \u201cThere remains a very long way to go, and I must be frank that a vaccine might not come to fruition.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/77811f188de90cc53306d929b365d2d2\">https:\/\/apnews.com\/77811f188de90cc53306d929b365d2d2<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Yes, the economic damage caused by totalitarian shutdowns and restrictions is deeply harming the economies of many nations, not just in Europe, but around the world.<\/p>\n<p>As far as vaccines go, it should be remembered that the human immunodeficiency viruses (HIV, which causes AIDS), is also a type of coronavirus. Billions of dollars and decades of research have not yet resulted in a truly effective vaccine to prevent it. Avoiding contaminated needles and obeying God&#8217;s laws on sexuality prevent it. But, that is not what many want to hear.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, as far as vaccines go, they are intended to assist what is called the adaptive immune system. But, for a disease like cold viruses, where having had one does not prevent getting ill from another one, vaccines have also not been effective. Also, because it is reported that it does not appear that getting and then getting over COVID-19 always grants one future immunity, a vaccine may not be very effective. Plus, RNA replicating viruses can mutate and be otherwise difficult to deal with using vaccines. But many officials have placed their public hopes on a vaccine to deal with COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, public health officials, most of which have no serious experience with nutritionally supporting human immune response, overlook what can be done to improve a person&#8217;s innate immune system. That would include, for example, encouraging the consumption of fruits and vegetables high in vitamin C, brazil nuts for selenium, seeds &amp; meats high in zinc, and getting sufficient sunlight for vitamin D. They are even less inclined to recommend supplements which contain 100% food sources of those nutrients.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, what some government leaders are realizing is that by not reopening until there is a reliable vaccine or some other pharmaceutical drug, the economies they live off of may become nearly irreparably damaged.<\/p>\n<p>But they are still not sure how to open to minimize deaths from COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>And, in Europe, not every one agrees.<\/p>\n<p>Some countries, like Italy and Greece, want things like travel opened now. (Daniel 2:41-43)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yes, Europe has a problem with unity as the nations do not naturally adhere to each other. They have different interests, different cultures, and different languages.<\/p>\n<p>This has been a problem with the coronavirus. So much so, that some have been concerned that &#8216;national interests&#8217; have been placed above European solidarity.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"style-scope ytd-grid-video-renderer\"><span class=\"style-scope yt-formatted-string\" dir=\"auto\">Luxembourg Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich voiced concerns that COVID-19 could lead to the end of the European Union. He said changes in the EU were needed. Siding with the Vatican on climate change against the US? Ideals of European superiority?<\/p>\n<p>Despite unity issues, a European confederation will be around for a time, eventually be destroyed by God, and that is a certain prophecy.<\/p>\n<p>But, does that mean that the &#8216;European Union&#8217; will survive as it is until God destroys it?<\/p>\n<p>No.<\/p>\n<p>Cardinal Hollerich is essentially calling for a reorganization of Europe. For years The PLAIN TRUTH has said these nations are going to have to realize their inability to unite themselves politically-to choose a common political-military Leader that all can trust. They are going to finally face the fact they must look to a Supreme Authority they can all trust! That Supreme Authority cannot be a politician, or a general (De Gaulle is both). Now It Can Be Told&#8230;<em>The Plain Truth,<\/em> December 1948, pp. 2,5).<\/p>\n<p>Now one of the great things that is urging Europe on, and perhaps the greatest thing that will cause them to hurry and get together on this, is their fear \u2026 Now that is a chief incentive to unite them &#8230; (Armstrong HW. United States of EUROPE IS COMING! Sermon Date: November 27, 1982)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yes, economic problems, religion, and fear will be factors in the coming unification and reorganization of Europe under the prophesied Beast.<\/p>\n<p>Europe will, one day, no longer have the pretense of a democracy but will become a fierce dictatorship (cf. Deuteronomy 28:49-50; Revelation 13; Daniel 7:25).<\/p>\n<p>But how since it is so dis-unified?<\/p>\n<p>Jean-Claude Hollerich, who was made a cardinal by Pope Francis last year, mentioned that &#8220;ideals&#8221; were needed.<\/p>\n<p>By this, he means Catholic ideals.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/herbertwarmstrong.htm\">Herbert W. Armstrong<\/a> felt that while Europe needed a political-military leader, some type of religious leader was needed to unify Europeans.<\/p>\n<p>The Bible shows that a false prophet will arise (Revelation 16:13). He will support the European Beast and is called the beast coming up from the earth:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. (Revelation 13:11-15)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This religious leader will be a type of anti-pope (see also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/catholicprophecy.htm\">Catholic Prophecies: Do They Mirror, Highlight, or Contradict Biblical Prophecies?<\/a>) and will one day support the destruction of the Church of Rome (cf. Revelation 17:15-18).<\/p>\n<p>Cardinal Hollerich also said something else about Europe as <em>Crux<\/em> reported:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>When it comes to the coronavirus, he said a lack of solidarity with heavily hit countries \u201ccan become the fatal wound.\u201d https:\/\/cruxnow.com\/church-in-europe\/2020\/04\/cardinal-fears-coronavirus-could-be-end-of-european-union\/<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Notice the following biblical prophecy from the New Jerusalem Bible, a Roman Catholic translation:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><sup>1<\/sup> Then I saw a beast emerge from the sea: it had seven heads and ten horns, with a coronet on each of its ten horns, and its heads were marked with blasphemous titles.<\/p>\n<p><sup>2<\/sup> I saw that the beast was like a leopard, with paws like a bear and a mouth like a lion; the dragon had handed over to it his own power and his throne and his immense authority.<\/p>\n<p><sup>3<\/sup> I saw that one of its heads seemed to have had a fatal wound but that this deadly injury had healed and the whole world had marvelled and followed the beast. (Revelation 13:1-3)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The &#8220;sea&#8221; is the Mediterranean Sea (Numbers 34:6-7; Joshua 1:4; 9:1; 23:4; Ezekiel 47:13-16; Daniel 7:2-8)&#8211;hence this is a European leader.<\/p>\n<p>Cardinal Hollerich warned of a fatal wound.<\/p>\n<p>Well, the world has long felt that Europe has been fatally wounded&#8211;but the Bible says it will rise up, the world will marvel, and follow the totalitarian European Beast!<\/p>\n<p>Some might even consider the economic and other impacts of the coronavirus the &#8220;fatal wound&#8221;&#8211;a wound Italy and others are hoping to recover from.<\/p>\n<p>Europe will reorganize&#8211;with or without a vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, the Bible shows that what it will ends up with will be disastrous from many nations (Daniel 11:39-43) as well as itself (Daniel 2:44, 11:44-45).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Some items of possibly related interest may include:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/europa.htm\">Europa, the Beast, and Revelation<\/a> Where did Europe get its name?
