Speaking during a video conference with U.S. congressional leaders and committees, the king said that peace would only come with the creation of an \u201cindependent, sovereign and viable Palestinian state\u201d with its capital in Jerusalem.<\/p>\n

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu plans to extend Israeli sovereignty to parts of Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley starting in July, under the aegis of the U.S. \u201cPeace to Prosperity\u201d plan. …<\/p>\n

Jordan\u2019s King Abdullah warned of \u201cmassive conflict\u201d between his country and Israel if the Jewish state proceeds with annexing territory this summer in Judea and Samaria.<\/p>\n

In an interview with the German newspaper Der Spiegel, the Jordanian monarch reiterated that a two-state solution was the \u201conly way forward\u201d as a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian dispute.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat would happen if the Palestinian National Authority collapsed? There would be more chaos and extremism in the region. If Israel really annexed the West Bank in July, it would lead to a massive conflict with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan,\u201d said Abdullah. \u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t want to make threats and create an atmosphere of loggerheads, but we are considering all options. We agree with many countries in Europe and the international community that the law of strength should not apply in the Middle East,\u201d said the king.<\/p>\n

The comments by the Jordanian leader come as several European nations are pushing for punitive action against Israel if the country forges ahead with annexation. E.U. foreign-policy leaders are set to discuss the issue at a virtual meeting on Friday.<\/p>\n

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made a quick visit to Israel this week to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Blue and White leader Benny Gantz. Pompeo urged progress on U.S. President Donald Trump\u2019s Middle East peace plan.<\/p>\n

Under the plan\u2019s proposal, Israel could push ahead with annexation some 30 percent of territory in Judea and Samaria, which includes Israeli settlements and the Jordan Valley, as part of efforts to resume talks with the Palestinians. https:\/\/www.breakingisraelnews.com\/150423\/jordan-hints-theyll-wage-war-with-israel-if-judea-samaria-annexed\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Palestinian Authority President Abbas threatened to disband the PNA if Israel went through with the annexations (see BI: Abbas Threatens to Dissolve PA If Israel Annexes an Inch of Judea and Samaria<\/a>). Plus take other steps (see BIN: For First Time Since 2nd Intifada: Abbas Makes Secret Preparations in Case Annexation Goes Through<\/a>)<\/p>\n

He, King Abdullah, and many in Europe do not believe that Donald Trump\u2019s \u201cVision for Peace\u201d (which he has referred to as \u201cThe deal of the century\u201d) is acceptable.<\/p>\n

Israel is also concerned that, annexation aside, that the economic factors may trigger violence:<\/p>\n

“Nation … against nation” is literally “ethnos … against ethnos” in the original Greek. Notice how the Orthodox Jewish Bible translates the first half of Matthew 24:7:<\/p>\n

For there will be an intifada of ethnic group against ethnic group, …<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Look for ethnic, class, and\/or racial strife in 2020. …<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

We expect to see more wars, rumors of war, and civil unrest.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

An Intifada in the Middle East may ultimately also involve Syria (Isaiah 17:1) and Iran (Isaiah 22).<\/p>\n

Enough damage may happen to cause leaders in Israel and Palestine to more seriously look for peace as peace deals tend to come after military conflict.<\/p>\n

And, as regular readers of this COGwriter Church of God News page are aware, Bible prophecy does tell of a temporary peace deal coming to the region in the Book of Daniel:<\/p>\n

26 And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate (Daniel 9:26-27).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The biblically-prophesied \u201cprince\u201d to confirm it will be a European leader<\/a> who is later called the King of the North<\/a> in Daniel 11:40. As more and more in the Middle East dislike the US Trump Administration plan, they are more liking the idea of European involvement–such involvement is prophesied to occur. The \u2018one week\u2019 in Daniel 9:27 has generally been understood by prophecy watchers to mean a seven year deal, that is broken in the middle of it (after 3 1\/2 years). This break is also confirmed in the following scripture:<\/p>\n

31 And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation. (Daniel 11:31)
\n<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The \u201chim\u201d above is the European King of the North<\/a>. He may move to Jerusalem to claim to enforce peace, but according to Jesus, that should serve as a warning that it is time to flee:<\/p>\n

\n

20 But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. (Luke 21:20-21)<\/p>\n

15 \u201cTherefore when you see the \u2018abomination of desolation,\u2019 spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place\u201d (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 \u201cthen let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect\u2019s sake those days will be shortened. (Matthew 24:15-22)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Annexation will NOT go as well as Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu hopes. Ultimately, the Bible shows that Israel will lose territories to the Palestinians (see Gaza and the Palestinians in Bible Prophecy<\/a>).<\/p>\n

On January 28, 2020, the Trump Administration revealed its Mideast peace plan, which Donald Trump has referred to as the \u2018deal of the century.\u2019 Could it have prophetic ramifications? Could it be the \u2018peace deal\u2019 of Daniel <\/span>9:26-27? While many Israeli politicians (such as Benjamin Netanyahu, Benny Gatz, Rafael Minnes) like the deal, various Jewish religious leaders (including the Temple Institute) have raised objections. What have Protestants and the World Council of Churches said about it? Will Jerusalem be divided? Is the USA at risk of troubles (Mark 13:8) and disasters related to this deal? While the architect of the deal, Donald Trump\u2019s son-in-law Jared Kushner thought he had significant Arab support for the plan, the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation rejected it. So, too, has Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas as well as Hamas. Turkey\u2019s President Recep Erdogan claimed that he received economic and other threats from the United States for his public objection of the plan. Could Turkey take actions against the USA? What does Psalm 83 reveal? Is it possible that that the Trump \u2018vision for peace\u2019 could be the deal of Daniel <\/span>9:27?
