Although its official name is C\/2020 F3, the comet has been dubbed NEOWISE after the Near-Earth Object Wide-Field Infrared Survey Explorer (NEOWISE) space telescope that first noticed it earlier this year. This \u201cicy snowball\u201d with a gassy tail made its closest approach to the sun on July 3 and is now heading back from whence it came: the far reaches of the outer solar system. Its long, looping orbit around our star ensures that after passing closest to Earth on July 22, Comet NEOWISE will not return for some 6,800 years. …<\/p>\n [The comet] appears [in the evening] in the northwestern sky. But the easiest thing is [to use] the app to help you [find it]. …<\/p>\n [After] July 22, it gets dimmer and dimmer as it gets farther from Earth. And it very quickly becomes something that you cannot see with your naked eye, even on the clearest night. But [with] binoculars or a telescope, we\u2019ll still be good for seeing it for a while. https:\/\/www.scientificamerican.com\/article\/the-best-way-to-watch-comet-neowise-wherever-you-are\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n At least one Protestant pastor thinks this comet is part of something prophetically significant as the UK Express reports:<\/p>\n A trio of signs have appeared in the skies which are a sign of the end of days, according to one controversial pastor. US pastor Paul Begley has sent out a video to his 300,000 YouTube<\/a> subscribers stating that the end of days is near, highlighting September 1 as the probable date for the end of the world. And Mr Begley highlights three astronomical signs which he believes is proof that the end is nigh.<\/p>\n The first is the arrival of Comet<\/a> NEOWISE, …<\/p>\n Another sign was the Ring of Fire eclipse, which was witnessed in parts of West Africa, South Asia, southern China, Taiwan and the Arabian Peninsula on June 21.<\/p>\n Finally, these signs will converge when an asteroid<\/a> known as 2011 ES4 will pass Earth on September 1.<\/p>\n Although NASA<\/a> has revealed the asteroid will shoot by Earth at a safe distance of 76,000 miles, Mr Belgley is concerned the space rock could hit our planet. 07\/15\/20 https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/weird\/1309725\/end-of-the-world-comet-neowise-asteroid-ring-of-fire-eclipse-apocalypse-september-1<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n Paul Begley has a history of making false predictions (e.g. see Asteroid 2006QV89, Asteroid Bennu, and Wormwood<\/a>and End of the world prophecy: Why Jerusalem Third Temple is NOT a {required} sign of Great Tribulation<\/a> and \u2018Blood Moon prophecy 2019: Is the Super Blood Moon a portent of DOOM?\u2019<\/a>). I denounced him in the past, and am denouncing him for that September 1 prediction as well.<\/p>\n The end of the world is NOT coming this year. Though with COVID-19, to a degree, we have seen what could be described as The End Of The World As We Know It<\/a><\/span>. But that has nothing really to do with Comet Neowise.<\/p>\n Is there any biblical prophecy related to a comet or asteroid?<\/p>\n There looks to be.<\/p>\n The Bible shows that a couple of years or so after the start of the Great Tribulation, the Earth will be hit hard by something from outer-space called Wormwood.<\/p>\n Over 1900 years ago, the Apostle John <\/a>was inspired to write about Wormwood and more in the Book of Revelation. If you look at the sequence of events that proceed Wormwood, it is obvious that other events will happen first. Notice that the first nine verses happen prior to Wormwood falling from heaven:<\/p>\n 1 When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. 3 Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel\u2019s hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.<\/p>\n 6 So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.<\/p>\n 7 The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.<\/p>\n 8 Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. 9 And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. (Revelation 8:1-9)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n So after the above, notice that something from outer-space is to hit:<\/p>\n 10 Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. 11 The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter. (Revelation 8:10-11)<\/p>\n Notice that Wormwood does not fall until after the third trumpet associated with the seventh seal of Revelation is blown. Well, this would mean that the fifth and sixth seal would also have already been opened\u2013which are mentioned in Revelation 6:7-17, and the 144,000 numbered as shown in Revelation 7. And I should add that the fifth seal of Revelation cannot possibly be opened for at least 3 1\/2 years from now (see When Will the Great Tribulation Begin?<\/a>), with almost 4 1\/2 years the likely minimum. Hence, September 1, 2020 is not a risk for that.<\/p>\n But also notice that somehow Wormwood makes water bitter.<\/p>\n This could be because it is a comet as opposed to an asteroid. Comets tend to come with cyanogen gas–when that mixes with water to form hydrogen cyanide, it has an almond odor and bitter taste.<\/p>\n However, that does not mean that Wormwood could not be an asteroid. Some asteroids are bound to have substances that would be bitter in water.<\/p>\n If Wormwood is a type of asteroid, then massive devastation via an asteroid will come to pass. But not this year as Paul Begley had suggested.<\/p>\n So, why mention any of this?<\/p>\n Well, properly understood biblical prophecies are coming to pass. But because of false predictions throughout history, many have grown weary and will likely discount the fulfillment of various prophecies until it is too late.<\/p>\n Many Protestants have also recently been wrongly influenced by false prophecies from a pastor Dana Coverstone. While his predictions sound less radical than Paul Begley, many of them also will be proven wrong (see\u2018THREE Prophetic WARNING DREAMS!!! \u201cBRACE YOURSELVES\u201d [Pastor Dana Coverstone]\u2019<\/span><\/a>).<\/p>\n Sadly, being misled (mostly by discounting as well as misunderstanding prophecy) will impact the bulk of true Christians in the end times.
