SETL, is supporting the IZNES consortium in the BdF experiment with CBDC. The consortium comprises IZNES, SETL, Citi, Caceis, and DXC.<\/p>\n

The experiment will undertake subscriptions and redemptions of funds on the IZNES platform using CBDC in conjunction with the Banque de France.<\/p>\n

French Central Bank Picks Accenture, HSBC and Others for Digital Euro Pilot<\/h2>\n

Banque de France has picked eight potential candidates to test the integration of a CBDC for interbank settlements, according to the announcement<\/a> published earlier today.<\/p>\n

The list of approved participants includes mainstream juggernauts like Accenture, HSBC, and Societe Generale, as well as smaller crypto-focused players like Seba Bank and LiquidShare.<\/p>\n

The announcement follows the central bank\u2019s call for applications to experiment with the use of a digital euro …<\/p>\n

France\u2019s push for the digital euro<\/h3>\n

France has been at the forefront of European CBDC experiments so far. In May, it became the first country to successfully trial a digital euro<\/a> on a blockchain as part of its ongoing project<\/a> with Societe Generale.<\/p>\n

American Express just announced a deal with Ripple related to using its blockchain technology. No longer confined to Bitcoin, blockchain technology is moving towards the mainstream. Former German Economic and later Defense Minister, Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg has long been an adviser to Ripple and has plans for internationally-expanding the use of blockchain money. Jim Rickards, Doug Casey, and others have expressed concerns that blockchain money will give governments too much control over buying and selling. Could any of this be related to biblical prophecies in the Books of Daniel and Revelation? Could any of this help fulfill the prophecies related to buying and selling and 666 in Revelation 13? As far as having some type of European digital currency goes, regular readers of this COGwriter Church of God News page are aware, that has long been expected.<\/p>\n
