COGwriter<\/a><\/p>\n In his commentary today<\/a>, LCG’s <\/a>Wyatt Ciesielkahas the following:<\/p>\n But what about the rapture<\/em>, the 144,000<\/em>, the Great Multitude<\/em>, etc.?\u00a0 What<\/em> is real?\u00a0 Who<\/em> should we strive to be?<\/p>\n Nowhere<\/em> does Scripture teach a \u201csecret rapture.\u201d\u00a0 Christ will not<\/em> secretly return to spirit away His servants into heaven before the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord.\u00a0 This completely contradicts numerous<\/em> Scriptures, including Matthew 24:26-31.\u00a0 Notice 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 \u2013 both the dead and<\/em> those alive will be raised incorruptible at the last trumpet!<\/em> The \u201clast trumpet\u201d is after<\/em> the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord \u2013 not<\/em> before.<\/p>\n Scripture does reveal a group of 144,000.\u00a0 Who are they?\u00a0 Revelation 7:3-4 describes the 144,000 sealed from the physical tribes of Israel<\/em>.\u00a0 But, when<\/em> are they sealed?\u00a0 First, these physical Israelites endure the Great Tribulation and Satan\u2019s wrath! \u00a0They are not counted worthy of God\u2019s protection during the Great Tribulation (v.\u00a0 14)!\u00a0 But then, after<\/em> the Great Tribulation, they are mercifully \u201csealed\u201d during the Day of the Lord.<\/p>\n Scripture also reveals a \u201cGreat Multitude\u201d (Revelation 7:9).\u00a0 Unlike the 144,000, this \u201cGreat Multitude\u201d comes from every<\/em> nation, every<\/em> language and every<\/em> tribe.\u00a0 But notice that, similar to the 144,000, many of these people also<\/em> come out of the Great Tribulation.\u00a0 They complete the martyrdom described in Revelation 6:11.\u00a0 Just like the 144,000, they did not<\/em> escape Satan\u2019s wrath.<\/p>\n Must one enter into the Kingdom of God through the Great Tribulation?\u00a0 Is there another way?<\/p>\n Revelation 3:7-13 describes God\u2019s faithful Church at the end of this age.\u00a0 These Christians earnestly strive to \u201cimitate Jesus\u201d in how they live and worship (1 Corinthians 11:1).\u00a0 They are not perfect, but they strive to \u201cwalk as He walked\u201d (1 John 2:6).\u00a0 They practice love, and all<\/em> the fruits of the Spirit.\u00a0 And there is something else unique about these Christians.\u00a0 They are zealous<\/em>.\u00a0 They are doing<\/em> something.<\/p>\n They understand<\/em> the \u201ckey of David\u201d which includes understanding proper godly church government<\/em> and also what is prophesied for modern Israel (compare Revelation 3:7-8 to Isaiah 22:21-22).\u00a0 They are not distracted with the cares of this world.\u00a0 They are not distracted by church politics.\u00a0 They are focused.<\/p>\n These Christians are zealously doing<\/em> the work of preaching the gospel (compare the \u201copen door\u201d in Revelation 3:8 with 2 Corinthians 2:12).\u00a0 Just like Jesus, their \u201cfood\u201d is to proclaim the gospel message<\/em> of the coming Kingdom of God (John 4:34)!\u00a0 They imitate Christ<\/em> in this (1 Corinthians 11:1).<\/p>\n These zealous Philadelphian Christians receive God\u2019s protection before<\/em> the Great Tribulation!\u00a0 They are also<\/em> counted worthy to marry Christ and become trusted pillars in His Kingdom (Revelation 3:12).<\/p>\n The end of this age is<\/em> indeed fast approaching.\u00a0 Christ will<\/em> return (John 14:3).\u00a0 At His return, who<\/em> and where<\/em> will we be?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Many misunderstand end time prophecy.
