In a recent video lecture<\/a>, the rabbi also states … that the assault of Gog and Magog against Israel was manifested in President Obama\u2019s notorious UN security council Resolution 2334 in 2016. It concerns the Israeli settlements in \u201cPalestinian territories occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem\u201d. …<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Rabbi Weisberg then reveals a much overlooked passage from the Talmud that he interprets to mean that \u201cbefore the Messiah comes, America must eliminate Iran.\u201d He sources this assertion from Tractate Yuma <\/em>page 10-A. \u201cIn the end it says Persia will fall to the hands of Rome.\u201d\u00a0 The rabbi asserts that \u201cRome is a superpower from the progeny of Esau now represented by America.\u201d<\/p>\n

But why was this decree given?<\/h3>\n

The rabbi believes that the decree of Rome taking down Persia is derived from the Book of Daniel which speaks of his vision of the four beasts.<\/p>\n

\u00a0After that, as I looked on in the night vision, there was a fourth beast\u2014fearsome, dreadful, and very powerful, with great iron teeth\u2014that devoured and crushed, and stamped the remains with its feet. It was different from all the other beasts which had gone before it; and it had ten horns.While I was gazing upon these horns, a new little horn sprouted up among them; three of the older horns were uprooted to make room for it. There were eyes in this horn like those of a man, and a mouth that spoke arrogantly. (Daniel 7:7)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Obliterating the nuclear capabilities of Iran<\/h3>\n

That little arrogant horn, is Islam according to the famous Jewish commentator Maimonides. and just as Daniel prophesied that that little horn needs to be destroyed, the prophesy was referring to Iran<\/a> according to Rabbi Weisberg.<\/p>\n

The rabbi goes on to explain that even though Trump is a war-averse president, he will soon learn that he will have no choice but to \u201cobliterate the nuclear capabilities of Iran. It has to be done before the end.\u201d He adds that even Trump is a lame duck, if he transfers Israel all the weapons needed to take out Iran to Israel before leaving office, \u201che will have fulfilled his Biblical obligation\u201d adding that the \u201cserpent will be slaughtered by Messiah.\u201d https:\/\/www.israel365news.com\/161036\/rabbi-reveals-from-talmud-america-must-destroy-iran-for-messiah-to-come\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

No, Gog and Magog has NOT happened yet–it is over 1000 years away (see Ezekiel 38: For Russia & Iran in Our Day?<\/a><\/span>). No, the Bible does NOT teach that Donald Trump is about to eliminate Iran. Nor is Daniel 7:7 a reference to Islam.<\/p>\n

As far as Iran goes, it seems prophesied to damage Israel. The Bible shows that God will allow someone that looks like an Iranian-Syrian confederation to strike the nation of Israel:<\/p>\n

1 The burden against the Valley of Vision.<\/p>\n

What ails you now, that you have all gone up to the housetops, 2 You who are full of noise, A tumultuous city, a joyous city? Your slain men are not slain with the sword, Nor dead in battle. 3 All your rulers have fled together; They are captured by the archers. All who are found in you are bound together; They have fled from afar. 4 Therefore I said, \u201cLook away from me, I will weep bitterly; Do not labor to comfort me Because of the plundering of the daughter of my people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Notice that damage to the nation of Israel (Judah above) and Jerusalem (the city of David) is prophesied to come–and this could be fairly soon.<\/p>\n

By whom?<\/p>\n

Kir seems to be a reference related to some in Syria whereas Elam seems to be a reference to at least some in Iran. The old Worldwide Church of God published the following:<\/p>\n

Because Iran is NOT the leader of the coming King of the South<\/a> (Daniel 11:40), I do expect it to be ‘neutralized,’ which may be the result of military action by Israel and\/or the USA, civil unrest, and\/or something else.<\/p>\n

Iran’s foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, .. country’s foreign minister has proposed “a return to full compliance” of the Iran nuclear deal if Biden lifts sanctions <\/strong>that have been ordered onto the country by President Trump. He has commented that Biden’s administration can use executive orders to lift the sanctions.<\/p>\n

Zarif told a state owned newspaper this week: \u201cThe fact that Mr. Biden wants to return to the nuclear deal is great. We\u2019re ready to hold talks over how the U.S. can re-enter the nuclear deal.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Eager to make Biden his lapdog, he continued: \u201cI expect the situation to significantly improve in the next few months. When Mr. Biden decides to fulfill U.S. obligations, we will be ready to quickly return to our commitments. Iranian authorities arrested the three men on Oct. 31, 2016, in the southwestern city of Marvdasht, three days after they had joined the celebration of the birthday of ancient ruler Cyrus the Great at his tomb an 85-kilometer drive away. Many of the thousands of people who were at the gathering used the occasion to chant antigovernment slogans expressing anger about official mismanagement and corruption. …<\/p>\n

Cyrus the Great was the ancient ruler of the Achaemenid Empire, also known as the First Persian Empire, in the 6th century BC. In recent years, large crowds of Iranians nostalgic for their nation\u2019s pre-Islamic glory have marked his late October birthday, which they call \u201cCyrus Day,\u201d by gathering at his tomb near the ancient city of Pasargadae to celebrate his legacy.<\/p>\n

The source who spoke to VOA said Iranian prosecutors presented no evidence of any crimes by the three men at their recent trial. The case against the activists relied solely upon a report compiled by Mashhad\u2019s intelligence office, which accused the men of seditious activities including a speech made by one of them at the Cyrus Day event on Oct. 28, 2016, and the use of Telegram to post comments praising other aspects of Iran\u2019s pre-Islamic history. https:\/\/www.voanews.com\/middle-east\/voa-news-iran\/iranian-activists-who-celebrated-ancient-persian-rulers-birthday-get-long<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Why mention that?<\/p>\n

Well although the Voice of America<\/em> article did NOT mention Donald Trump, various ones have claimed that Donald Trump is a modern day Cyrus and that he will help Israel (e.g. BIN: \u2018Trump\u2019s Peace Deal is Akin to Decree of King Cyrus Paving Path For Third Temple\u2019 says Israeli Politician<\/a>\u00a0and Sanhedrin issues another coin featuring Donald Trump and Iran warns US government will sink like the Titanic<\/a>).<\/p>\n

So, it may not just be because Cyrus was part of pre-Islamic history that the three men were arrested.<\/p>\n

Iran could be sending a message against Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

As I have written many times:<\/p>\n

Expect Iran to overplay its hand and believe it is more powerful than it really is. Israel, and perhaps even the USA, apparently will be negatively affected by Iran.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It should be pointed out that the Bible shows that Iran will not end up faring well.<\/p>\n

Notice the following prophecy which indicates at least part of its destruction before the latter days:<\/p>\n

34 The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying, 35 \u201cThus says the Lord of hosts:<\/p>\n

Iran is having problems with its economy, its people, and COVID-19. The collapse of oil prices is also hitting Iran very hard.<\/p>\n

Its leaders may well conclude that they need to do something to distract the minds of their citizens, like planning and then taking military action. Like having a military attack against Israel.<\/p>\n

But, though Israel is prophesied to have damage (Isaiah 22:6-10), Iran will not do well.<\/p>\n

Iran needs to be cautious as biblical prophecies suggest it will be involved in militaristic ventures, and ultimately that will not end well for Iran.<\/p>\n

Iran is a place to watch (cf. Mark 13:37).<\/p>\n

But not because of rabbi Isser Z Weisberg’s comments.<\/p>\n
