Demand for Covid vaccines expected to get heated \u2014 and fast<\/h2>\n

“People talk about the anti-vaccine people being able to kind of squelch uptake. I don’t see that happening,” Dr. Paul Offit<\/a>, a vaccinologist with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, told viewers of a recent JAMA Network webinar<\/a>. “This, to me, is more like the Beanie Baby phenomenon \u2014 the attractiveness of a limited edition.”<\/p>\n

Reports that vaccines produced by the drugmakers Pfizer and BioNTech<\/a> and Moderna<\/a> appear to be safe and effective, along with the deliberate emphasis on science-based guidance from the incoming Biden administration, are likely to reverse uncertainty in a big way, said Arthur Caplan<\/a>, director of the division of medical ethics at New York University School of Medicine.<\/p>\n

A new poll<\/a> by the Pew Research Center found that by the end of November, 60 percent of Americans said they would get a vaccine for the coronavirus. This month, even as a federal advisory group met to hash out guidelines for vaccine distribution, a long list of advocacy groups \u2014 representing home-based health workers and community health centers to patients with kidney disease \u2014 were lobbying state and federal officials in hope that their constituents would be prioritized for the first scarce doses.<\/p>\n

“As we get closer to the vaccine being a reality, there’s a lot of jockeying, to be sure,” said Katie Smith Sloan, chief executive of LeadingAge, a nonprofit organization pushing for staff members and patients at long-term care centers to be in the highest-priority category. …<\/p>\n

Offit predicted that demand for the vaccines could rival the clamor for flu shots in 2004, when production problems caused a severe shortage just as influenza season began. That led to long lines, rationed doses and ethical debates about distribution.<\/p>\n

“That was a highly desired vaccine,” Offit said. …<\/p>\n

Vaccinations are set to begin on Tuesday in England, Wales and Scotland. Northern Ireland said it would start administering the vaccine early in the week but did not specify which day. UK health officials expect to have up to 4 million doses of the Pfizer\/BioNTech vaccine, which offers up to 95% protection against Covid-19, available by the end of December, Cordery said. The government has ordered 40 million doses of the Pfizer\/BioNTech vaccine so far, enough to vaccinate 20 million people, or a third of the UK population. More deaths from Covid-19 have been recorded in the UK than anywhere else in Europe.The speed with which UK regulators approved the vaccine — ahead of their counterparts elsewhere in Europe and in the United States — raised questions<\/a> in some quarters. https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2020\/12\/07\/uk\/uk-covid-first-vaccinations-pfizer-gbr-intl\/index.html<\/a><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It is more the ‘desired,’ it will in essence be forced if people must have it to fly to various places, work in various jobs, be able to go to restaurants, be able to enter public government offices (which people often are legally forced to to), etc.<\/p>\n

While there are ‘legal arguments,’ the reality is that if the Constitution of the USA would be interpreted and followed as it was intended, there would have been no forced lockdowns, no mask requirements, no restrictions on church services, and a lot less censorship of opinions related to COVID-19 this year.<\/p>\n

Now it is true that various court decisions have upheld the rights of individuals seeking exemptions from immunizations\/inoculations\/vaccinations based upon \u201cpersonal\u201d religious beliefs. (Sherr and Levy vs. Northport East-Northport Union Free School District, 672 F. Supp. 81, (E.D.N.Y., 1987); (Allanson vs. Clinton Central School District, U.S. District Court, Northern District Court, Northern District of New York (84 CV 174), 1984; Campain vs. Marlboro Central School District, Supreme Court Ulster County Special Term, November 15, 1985; Brown vs. City School District, 429 NYS2d 355; Maier vs, Betat 73 Misc2d 241). There are also, normally, health exemptions some may have to not be legally-required to get vaccinated.<\/p>\n

Yet, some professions and others for various reasons may need to (or be required to) get one or more vaccines or not be able to function in American or international society.<\/p>\n

That being said, many people around the world have concerns about the speed of rushing the COVID vaccines:<\/p>\n

Governments are accelerating toward approving the first vaccines to contain Covid-19<\/a>, but public anxiety over the safety of the doses is threatening to undermine those efforts.<\/p>\n

A survey from the University of Hamburg showed the percentage of people hesitant or unwilling to get a Covid-19 vaccine ticking up in November to around 40% of respondents across seven European countries. An October poll by market researcher Ipsos found that nearly a third of Japanese and almost half of French respondents said they wouldn\u2019t get inoculated for the coronavirus.<\/p>\n

In some places, such as the U.S. and Italy, vaccine skeptics have been stoking those fears, said Heidi Larson, an anthropologist at London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and director of the Vaccine Confidence Project, a group that monitors trust in vaccines world-wide. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of anxiety out there,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Early results of the Covid-19 vaccine trials sponsored by Pfizer<\/a>, Moderna<\/a>, and AstraZeneca<\/a> are welcome news. We appreciate the urgency of getting these newly developed coronavirus vaccines out to millions of Americans and potentially billions of people around the world.<\/p>\n

We also know all too well the tragic story of a rushed polio vaccine. … The missteps that resulted in 40,000 unnecessary vaccine-induced polio infections are being repeated today. Failure to invest in safety and quality as well as speed has the potential to harm many people and further erode the nation\u2019s faith in science and public health. …<\/p>\n

Mounting pressures to rapidly deliver coronavirus vaccines could overwhelm the steps required to ensure their safety. …<\/p>\n

The FDA must not, as currently planned<\/a>, eliminate inspections of manufacturing plants before issuing a vaccine emergency use authorization \u2014 exactly what Pfizer<\/a> and Moderna<\/a> are planning to request. Once vaccine distribution begins, there must be rigorous monitoring and side effect reporting, since vaccine trials, even those as large as Moderna\u2019s and Pfizer\u2019s, can never be large enough to identify all rare side effects. The National Vaccine Program Office, which once provided this oversight, was dismantled by the Trump administration<\/a> last year. It needs to be reinstated.<\/p>\n

Vaccines work only if people agree to get them. Acceptance of Covid-19 vaccines requires the public to trust the assurances of scientists, physicians, and governments that they are safe. In 1955, the public lost faith both in the polio vaccine and in those who had assured them of its safety and effectiveness. If scientists, government officials, and the major media would consistently tell the truth, the whole truth about vaccines, there would be greater trust of science. But sadly, the media and government officials do not always do that, plus scientists themselves are often wrong.<\/p>\n

Feynman went on to make unparalleled advances in the fields of particle physics and quantum mechanics. …<\/p>\n

Feynman also won the Nobel Prize, … he was the first to admit that nothing was truly certain and absolute, even in science:<\/p>\n

\u201cScientific knowledge is a body of statements of varying degrees of certainty \u2014 some most unsure, some nearly sure, but none absolutely certain.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Feynman railed against \u201cmyths and pseudoscience,\u201d and the so-called experts that peddled their theories as unquestionable truth.<\/p>\n

According to his biographer James Gleick, Feynman found this type of scientific absolutism to be like an \u201cauthority, against which science has fought for centuries.\u201d<\/p>\n

Or, as Isaac Asimov put it,\u00a0<\/em>\u201cScience is uncertain. Theories are subject to revision; observations are open to a variety of interpretations, and scientists quarrel amongst themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yet now we\u2019re being force fed a narrative that science is absolute and 100% certain\u2026 and that, above all else, we must listen to the scientists.<\/p>\n

Or, more precisely, we must listen to the scientists they want us to listen to. …<\/p>\n

We must listen to the scientists who tell us that biology no longer determines sex.<\/p>\n

And we absolutely must listen to the scientists who tell us to cower in fear in our homes because of a virus. …<\/p>\n

We must listen to the scientists at the WHO that told us in late March to NOT wear masks, and then, oops, just kidding, please do wear masks.<\/p>\n

We must listen to the scientists who tell us that we need to keep our masks on, and then take their own masks off as soon as they\u2019re no longer on camera.<\/p>\n

We must listen to the scientists who tell us to cancel everything and not spend time with friends and family, who then themselves hop on a plane to visit their own friends and family.<\/p>\n

We must listen to the scientists who agree that cannabis dispensaries, acupuncture clinics, and casinos are \u201cessential businesses\u201d, but masked worshippers six feet apart in churches and synagogues must be forced to stay home under threat of imprisonment. …<\/p>\n

We must listen to the scientists who tell us that standing on wet sand is safe, but standing on dry sand will spread the Coronavirus.<\/p>\n

We must listen to the scientists who tell us we need to do whatever it takes to prevent a single Covid death\u2026 but that deaths due to suicide, heart attack, and stroke are perfectly fine, and so are domestic violence, drug addiction, and depression.<\/p>\n

And we must listen to the scientists who tell us that an unproven vaccine devoid of any long-term study is completely safe and effective.<\/p>\n

Yes. Those are the scientists we must listen to.<\/p>\n

But we absolutely must NOT listen to any scientists who voice concerns about Covid vaccines.<\/p>\n

We must not listen to scientists whose peer-reviewed research shows that Covid might not be as bad or as deadly as the media continues to portray.<\/p>\n

We must not listen to scientists, including a Fulbright scholar \/ MIT PhD in data science, whose research shows bizarre, highly suspicious statistical anomalies regarding the 2020 election.<\/p>\n

No. We definitely must NOT listen to those scientists.<\/p>\n

And thank goodness that Big Media and Big Tech make it so easy for us to not listen to those scientists.<\/p>\n

Twitter and Facebook have conveniently censored posts, prevented sharing, and even suspended the accounts of dangerous scientists who present new ideas.<\/p>\n

And the big media companies simply refuse to report on those stories altogether. …<\/p>\n

Forget Feynman. Their science is certainty. Their science is unassailably, 100%, absolutely true\u2026<\/p>\n

Anyone who dares question the certainty and sanctity of their science is ridiculed.<\/p>\n

At this point I just want to know what these people are so afraid of– why are they so terrified of anyone asking questions?<\/p>\n

Because when you\u2019re not allowed to question something, it\u2019s no longer science. It\u2019s just authoritarian propaganda.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Yes, much that is called science is not science–the Bible also teaches that:<\/p>\n

20 … keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
\n(1 Timothy 6:20, KJV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yes, not all that is called science is true or science.<\/p>\n

That being said, already known Covid-19 vaccine side-effects “range from fevers and chills to headaches and joint pain” (https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2020-12-03\/covid-vaccines-could-bench-health-care-workers-amid-surge<\/a>). There are also concerns that being different from previous vaccines, COVID-related ones could have major other issues (see also CCOG on vaccines<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The mainstream is highly pushing flu shots this year–as well as COVID vaccines.<\/p>\n

For what it\u2019s worth, I do not get the flu shot. When I was in the US military in the 1970s, I was required to get it once or twice (I tried to object, but military rules forced it)–but I have not gotten one since. Nor have has my wife nor any of our children. But we may be forced to get the COVID one.<\/p>\n

Superbugs, antibiotics, and vaccines<\/a><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released a report in November 2019 that stated that an American died every 15 minutes from an antibiotic-resistant infection. It reported that an additional one dies about every 45 minutes from Clostridioides difficile. Another CDC report warned of the superbug Candida auris. In China, two recently died of the pneumonic plague, whereas in May 2019, to Mongolians died from the bubonic plague after eating a rodent kidney. Dr. Thiel explained that the flu is often associated with pigs and the Ebola virus from eating fruit bats. He also cited scriptures about which animals God said could be eaten and some of which should be avoided. Dr. Thiel also went over an NPR report which stated that more who get the live polio vaccine are paralyzed from that type of polio than the \u2018wild\u2019 kind. Dr. Thiel explains some scriptures about preventing disease as well as those that show that humans will not sufficiently repent and solve infectious disease problems before Jesus returns.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Government ‘public health experts’ tend to push fear and vaccines.<\/p>\n

This is part of a totalitarian agenda that Satan is encouraging that will not end well (cf. Daniel 11:35-44; Revelation 13).<\/p>\n

While we should pray, not be fearful, rely on God\u2019s protection, and support the work of Matthew 24:14 and Matthew 28:19-20, taking care to attempt to improve our health during a time with multiple strains of the coronavirus, is something all should do.<\/p>\n

The mainstream media has downplayed the vaccine risks, yet puts its hope in that and fear tactics. It tends to minimize telling people what they can do to help themselves other than hide\/cover up\/distance in fear.<\/p>\n

To the most faithful, Jesus said:<\/p>\n

32 Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father\u2019s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. (Luke 12:32)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And that is the case. Christians should not live in fear.<\/p>\n

But we also realize that our confidence is not in a vaccine, but in Jesus.<\/p>\n
