The Weirdest, Most Distorted Economy Ever<\/h2>\n

Between the Federal Reserve, Congress, and covid, navigating the business cycle is equivalent to sneaking through a house of mirrors. The stock market is making new highs as unemployment rates do the same. Thousands line up for free food and soon will do the same to be vaccinated. The nation\u2019s governors tighten restrictions by the day while the Federal Reserve remains loose in its monetary operations.<\/p>\n

Wolf Richter of Wolf Street<\/a> has split the US economy into \u201cthe weirdest economy ever\u201d when writing about the trucking boom and Online sales and \u201cthe most distorted economy ever\u201d when addressing the record low junk bond yields. …<\/p>\n

However, the Fed is not allowing the economy to heal, but instead induces more distortions and weirdness. Richter sounds Austrian in his analysis,<\/p>\n

Instead of allowing corporate debt to be shed via bankruptcies and debt restructurings, at the expense of those investors, traders, and speculators, the Fed is creating an environment of free money that exhorts companies to borrow even more. And then the even greater debt hangover bogs down the economy during the Good Time while everyone is waiting for the next blowup so that the Fed would rescue them again, turning the whole thing into a Fed-managed paper exchange.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jobless consumers, no matter what the Fed does, according to Richter \u201cmight just refuse to prop up on their own the Weirdest Economy Ever.\u201d 12\/12\/20 https:\/\/mises.org\/wire\/weirdest-most-distorted-economy-ever<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In one sense, at least, this is the weirdest economy ever as even people are working and producing less, most Americans have food, electricity, transportation, housing, etc.<\/p>\n

What is sustaining it?<\/p>\n

The wealth of some and the acceptance of US dollars within the US and outside of it.<\/p>\n

But the Bible warns against diluting currency like the US has been doing.<\/p>\n

Yet, the USA continues to try to cheapen its currency. Its production of debt is a massive form of dross. In the old times, Roman did this, and since 1965 the USA has done this to its actual coins (the USA put copper in the middle of it formerly 90% silver coins).<\/p>\n

This diluting of the value of coinage\/currency is condemned in the Bible:<\/p>\n

4 Take away the dross from silver (Proverbs 25:4a).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

22 Your silver has become dross, Your wine mixed with water. (Isaiah 1:22)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

25 I will turn My hand against you, And thoroughly purge away your dross, And take away all your alloy. (Isaiah 1:25)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

18 \u201cSon of man, the house of Israel has become dross to Me; they are all bronze, tin, iron, and lead, in the midst of a furnace; they have become dross from silver. 19 Therefore thus says the Lord God: \u2018Because you have all become dross, therefore behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. 20 As men gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there and melt you. 21 Yes, I will gather you and blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and you shall be melted in its midst. 22 As silver is melted in the midst of a furnace, so shall you be melted in its midst; then you shall know that I, the Lord, have poured out My fury on you.\u2019\u201d (Ezekiel 22:18-22)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Although the Bible warns against using dross and diluting the money supply, modern \u2018experts\u2019 have a different view. The wrong views on economics will lead to economic problems and ultimately the total crash of the dollar of the USA. Economic problems in Europe may well propel the rise of the Beast power<\/a> that the Bible warns about.<\/p>\n

The USA has repeatedly proven that economic pressures result in its increasing its debt. This has worked for a while, but the time will come when it will end in disaster. And it WILL NOT take as long as it took the old Roman Empire to collapse!<\/p>\n

Around 605-625 B.C. Habakkuk wrote a short book of the Bible that has a lot of implications for the time that we are now in. The bottom line is that it warns that the highly indebted will be taken over (Habakkuk 2:6-8).<\/p>\n

The ‘weird economy’ may look all right to many, but being more and more based on deceitful dross (debt) it will one day fall mightily.<\/p>\n

Politicians will NOT be able to save the USA, nor its Anglo-Saxon descended allies (UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand) by printing money.<\/p>\n

Politicians have increased the USA debt, unnecessarily harmed the economy of the USA because of COVID policies, and do not have a real solution. Consider the following prophecy:<\/p>\n

16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed (Isaiah 9:16).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The total end of the USA will happen.<\/p>\n

Jesus taught the following:<\/p>\n

24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.<\/p>\n

26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” (Matthew 7:24-27)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While Jesus was not giving basic economic information, the reality is that building an economy on debt is analogous to building a house on sand–the fall of the USA will be great.<\/p>\n

The USA needs national repentance and the Kingdom of God<\/a>.<\/p>\n
