Washington <\/em>\u2014 President Joe Biden laid out his to plan to combat the\u00a0coronavirus pandemic<\/a><\/span>\u00a0on his first full day in office, warning Americans that the worst is still to come.<\/p>\n

“Let me be clear,” Mr. Biden said during the event at the White House. “Things are going to continue to get worse before they get better.”<\/p>\n

The president signed 10 executive orders to vastly expand testing and vaccine availability, with the goal of administering 100 million vaccine doses by the end of April. He invoked the Defense Production Act to compel federal agencies and manufacturers to increase key supplies needed to fight the virus, and implemented new travel restrictions meant to curb its spread. https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/live-updates\/biden-covid-strategy-first-full-day-presidency\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The travel restrictions and rules that I have read so far look to have negative impacts on me personally and I do not believe all of them really will help.<\/p>\n

However, in general, the media looks to be intending to say that Joe Biden inherited a COVID-19 mess from the Trump Administration, but because of its plans, management, and diligence, it will start reporting, after parts of the Biden-Harris Administration plan are enacted, that COVID-19 will essentially be under control. The media push has basically been to promote fear related to COVID-19, but now it will be to provide assurance that the new Administration will get this under control so people can go back to some version of a more normal pre-COVID life.<\/p>\n

With that in mind, notice something that LifeSite News<\/em> reported:<\/p>\n

One hour after Biden inaugurated, WHO changes COVID testing criteria<\/h2>\n

January 22, 2021<\/p>\n

January 22, 2021 (LifeSiteNews<\/a>) \u2014 In what some have suggested is politicized timing, the World Health Organization on Wednesday changed the protocol for COVID-19 tests, which will result in large reductions in the numbers of positive cases. The body took this action just one hour after Joe Biden was sworn in as president of the United States.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, the World Health Organization (WHO) issued guidance regarding the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, which is being widely used across the globe in order to detect cases of COVID-19. In a\u00a0short information notice<\/a>, the WHO referred back to an\u00a0instruction booklet<\/a>\u00a0for COVID testing, released in September 2020, noting that \u201ccareful interpretation of weak positive results is needed.\u201d<\/p>\n

The guidance warned against diagnosing someone as having the virus just because he tests positive if he does not present with symptoms of COVID-19. It also warned about the high risk of false positives: \u201cThe cycle threshold (Ct) needed to detect virus is inversely proportional to the patient\u2019s viral load. Where test results do not correspond with the clinical presentation, a new specimen should be taken and retested using the same or different NAT technology.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs disease prevalence decreases, the risk of false positive increases. The probability that a person who has a positive result (SARS-CoV-2 detected) is truly infected with SARS-CoV-2 decreases as prevalence decreases, irrespective of the claimed specificity,\u201d the WHO continued.<\/p>\n

An even more surprising admission followed: the document described PCR tests merely as an \u201caid for diagnosis\u201d and did not place any greater weight upon the results of PCR tests. \u201cMost PCR assays are indicated as an aid for diagnosis, therefore, health care providers must consider any result in combination with timing of sampling, specimen type, assay specifics, clinical observations, patient history, confirmed status of any contacts, and epidemiological information.\u201d …<\/p>\n

Politicized timing?<\/h4>\n

A\u00a0number<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0commentators<\/a>\u00a0have\u00a0pointed<\/a>\u00a0to the\u00a0politicized timing<\/a>\u00a0of the WHO\u2019s news, noting that the new instructions, which could lead to a decrease in reported COVID cases, came only \u201cone hour\u201d after Joe Biden was sworn in as president. They suggest that Biden could reap the profits of the re-classification of COVID case numbers.<\/p>\n

Independent journalist Patrick Henningsen\u00a0commented<\/a>\u00a0on the timing: \u201cProof of a \u2018pandemic\u2019 scam in 2020: the day\u00a0#Biden<\/a>\u00a0is sworn in, WHO magically order\u00a0#COVID<\/a>\u00a0testing laboratories to reduce their\u00a0#PCR<\/a>\u00a0CT cycle threshold – which will automatically slash phony \u2018cases\u2019 & \u2018deaths with COVID\u2019.\u00a0#BillGates<\/a>-funded WHO fraud..\u201d https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/news\/one-hour-after-biden-inaugurated-who-changes-covid-testing-criteria?utm_source=top_news&utm_campaign=standard<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is not a surprise for a couple of reasons. One is that I have been telling people I speak with for months that shortly after Donald Trump was out of office, COVID-19 would be considered to be “better” handled and that the Biden-Harris Administration would be given credit.<\/p>\n

Anyway, another is that the problem with false positives with the PCR test have long been known. This may help explain why at least one report I saw pointed to 80% of those who were diagnosed with some version of COVID-19 having no symptoms.<\/p>\n

Much associated with COVID-19 has been misinformation. Much of the information has been political.<\/p>\n

While many claim that their decisions are based on science, political considerations have often overridden science and truth.<\/p>\n

The Apostle Paul warned Timothy:<\/p>\n

20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: (1 Timothy 6:20, KJV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

When they officially move to change the criteria, that is a reason to question what was, and now will be, called science related to COVID-19.<\/p>\n

As far as COVID-19 goes, as regular readers of this COGwriter Church of God News page are aware, I have advised not being fearful (watch Ten Plus Steps to Rid Yourself of Fear<\/a><\/span>), praying, taking spiritual steps, avoiding unclean meats, as well as physically supporting the immune system (e.g. see CNBC: Coronavirus updates; Ron Paul: Will Biden Listen to the Science?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

That advice has not changed, irrespective of what Administration is in Washington, D.C. or what the World Health Organization (WHO) says.<\/p>\n
