HONG KONG — Thousands of Hong Kongers have already made the sometimes painful decision to leave behind their hometown and move to Britain since Beijing imposed a strict national security law on the Chinese territory last summer. Their numbers are expected to swell to the hundreds of thousands.<\/p>\n

Some are leaving because they fear punishment for supporting the pro-democracy protests that swept the former British colony in 2019. Others say China\u2019s encroachment on their way of life and civil liberties has become unbearable, and they want to seek a better future for their children abroad. Most say they don\u2019t plan to ever go back. https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/International\/wireStory\/thousands-flee-hong-kong-uk-fearing-china-crackdown-75586656<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As far as civil liberties are concerned, those in Hong Kong realize some of what is happening in mainland China.<\/p>\n

Epoch Times<\/em> (ET) reported the following:<\/p>\n

Religious Books Seized and Burned in Communist China, Believers Given Jail Terms<\/h2>\n

January 31, 2021<\/p>\n

In communist China, practicing a certain faith, printing, or even reading religious books<\/a> could result in prison terms and abuse.\u00a0Spiritual believers in China\u2014be it Christians, Buddhists, Uyghur Muslims, or Falun Gong practitioners\u2014are faced not only with brutal suppression or forced-labor terms but also have their religious books burned or trashed at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).<\/p>\n

The coercive policies are aimed at forcing these religious followers to renounce their faith and follow the communist ideologies based on atheism and Marxism. … a Three-Self Church venue in one of the villages under the jurisdiction of Lanling County was demolished in July 2020.<\/p>\n

A county government official told the congregation that \u201call churches too close to government institutions must be destroyed\u201d and the same goes for \u201cthose that look better than government buildings.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBelief in the Communist Party is the only religion allowed,\u201d the official said, according to the report. …<\/p>\n

Minghui.org, a U.S.-based website dedicated to documenting the persecution of Falun Gong, compiled a report, which includes several news reports documenting<\/a> the CCP\u2019s \u201cnationwide unified\u00a0destruction\u201d of millions of Falun Gong publications<\/a>, namely books and videotapes, by throwing them into a pulping machine or burning them. https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/religious-books-seized-and-burned-in-communist-china-believers-given-jail-terms_3648727.html<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Now, it is not just China that has issues with religious writings.<\/p>\n

Do any USA politicians consider any biblical teachings as fraudulent and hence banning them is NOT a violation of the 1st amendment to the Constitution of the USA? Have politicians like Hillary Clinton and California Assemblyman Al Muratsuchi called for long-held religious beliefs to change and \u201cevolve with the times\u201d? Might we see more restrictions on explaining teachings of the Bible on the Internet and other forms of media? What are some of the verses that various government people do not want made public? Canadian censoring of the Bible<\/a><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In 2017, Lauri Skori of the Battle River School board told a religious school in Alberta, Canada that it could not teach\/read certain portions of the Bible. In 2002, a court in Canada ruled against one who referred to certain scriptures that some homosexuals objected to. In 2017, there was \u201cAn Act to Amend the Canadian Human Rights Act and Criminal Code\u201d related to those who wish to be considered transgendered. Government officials in Canada and elsewhere have been ruling against the Bible. Is any of this prophesied? Will this get worse? What was the prophet Amos inspired to write?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

All that being said, do not think that China will not change.<\/p>\n

The time is coming when China will, temporarily, accept a type of ecumenical\/interfaith religion. That religion will be endorsed by the Antichrist<\/a>, which will involve worshiping one the Bible calls the Beast<\/a> (from the sea).<\/p>\n

That is what the Bible prophesies:<\/p>\n

1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast<\/strong>. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, <\/strong>saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” 5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world<\/strong>. 9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear (Revelation 13:1-9).<\/p>\n

11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast<\/strong>, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. (Revelation 13:11-16)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The first Beast is the European King of the North<\/a> of Daniel 11. The second beast (the beast of the earth) is the final Antichrist<\/a>. The Bible teaches that all who do not have “the love of the truth” will support this (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12; see also Who is the Man of Sin of 2 Thessalonians 2?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

While some may think that Chinese culture and politics will not allow for this, the reality is that there have long been Chinese writings that say that they will.<\/p>\n

Notice the following Chinese prophecies dating from the Tang Dynasty (June 18, 618 \u2013 June 4, 907):<\/p>\n

Beautiful people come from the West. Korea, China and Japan are gradually at peace (Pui-Hua R.\u00a0 Ancient Chinese Prophecies Till the End of the World. \u00a0AuthorHouse, Bloomington (IN), 2008, p. 85).<\/p>\n

All negative forces are subservient\u2026China now has a saint. \u00a0Even if he is not that great a hero (ibid, p. 89).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Europe is west of China. The beautiful people from the West may be the Beast and his false prophet which apparently will impress peoples in places including Asia. The “saint” will likely be “the false prophet,” the final Antichrist (see also Some Doctrines of Antichrist<\/a>). Since there may have been an actual Christian witness to China during the time these prophecies was penned (see China, Its Biblical Past and Future, Part 2: The Sabbath and Some of God’s Witness in China<\/a>), it is possible that this witness was the basis of parts of the prophecies, even though distorted somewhat (true Christians would have warned about a false religious leader coming from the West accompanied by a military leader).<\/p>\n

So, yes, consistent with biblical and Chinese prophecies, China will change and temporarily support the Beast and the Antichrist.<\/p>\n

However, that will NOT last very long.<\/p>\n

In time, the Chinese and other Asians will see that the European Beast power, also called “the King of the North<\/a>” in the Bible, is not something to be worshiped or trusted. See also The Eurasian Union, the Kings of the East, and Bible Prophecy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Why do we in the Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a> teach that? Because there are certain verses in both the Book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation that appear to be discussing Asia and the European Beast power.<\/p>\n

Notice more scriptures:<\/p>\n

9 For behold, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon An assembly of great nations<\/strong> from the north country, And they shall array themselves against her; From there she shall be captured. Their arrows shall be like those of an expert warrior; None shall return in vain. (Jeremiah 50:9)<\/div>\n

50:41 \u201cBehold, a people shall come from the north,
\nAnd a great nation and many kings <\/strong>
\n Shall be raised up from the ends of the earth<\/strong>.
\n42 They shall hold the bow and the lance;
\nThey are cruel and shall not show mercy.
\nTheir voice shall roar like the sea;
\nThey shall ride on horses,
\nSet in array, like a man for the battle,
\nAgainst you, O daughter of Babylon.<\/p>\n

43 \u201cThe king of Babylon has heard the report about them,
\nAnd his hands grow feeble;
\nAnguish has taken hold of him,
\nPangs as of a woman in childbirth\u2026\u201d (Jeremiah 50:41-43).<\/p>\n

“40 At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. 41 He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon. 42 He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels. 44 But news from the east and the north<\/strong> shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. 45 And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him (Daniel 11:40-45).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Notice that the end time King of the North<\/a> (the European Empire<\/a>) will overwhelm the King of the South<\/a> (a Moslem empire), but that those from the east and the north<\/strong> shall trouble the King of the North.<\/p>\n

What is north and east of Europe?<\/p>\n

Russia, China, and other Asian nations. And notice that they will be used to help cause the Babylonian King of the North to come to his end. Russia and China are literally the north and east “ends of the earth.”<\/p>\n

This turning against the Beast may happen once a \u201cloathsome sore\u201d comes upon those who either worshipped the Beast or had his mark (Revelation 16:2)\u2014and this would affect some in Asia.\u00a0 It will likely be that the Asians will realize that once this and the other events in Revelation 16 come to pass, that the \u201cgreat\u201d Western leaders that they have been following do not have the power to stop this and thus finally conclude that they do not really represent God.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, it should be pointed out that war is not the ultimate destiny for the vast majority of Asians. Deification<\/a> is.<\/p>\n

After the second resurrection, during the time of the Great White Throne judgment all who did NOT have a real opportunity for salvation in this age, will have one in that age to come (many details about this, including hundreds of scriptures, are in our free online book: Universal OFFER of Salvation, Apokatastasis: Can God save the lost in an age to come? And then, yes, the vast majority of people who ever lived, including the Chinese and those ever in Hong Kong, will accept Jesus and turn to the true religion of the Bible. And then be part of the Kingdom of God<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Remember to pray for the persecuted as well as for God’s kingdom to come (Matthew 6:10).<\/p>\n
