Macron finds political lifeline through \u2018colonial\u2019 approach to Islam<\/h2>\n

French President Emmanuel Macron is a man on a mission seeking to reshape Islam. And for a country that once presumed to hold the mantle of civilising the world, it is now relegated to the provincial goal of cornering its beleaguered Muslim community.<\/p>\n

Macron’s laser-like focus on the country’s Muslim minority of 5.4 million<\/a>, even as France continues to grapple with the coronavirus pandemic, has also had the unintended impact of amplifying French insecurities about its place in the world and sense of identity.<\/p>\n

A summer of anti-racism protests highlighted the country’s continued inability to tackle social issues<\/a> and its colonial legacy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Protests against police violence, insecurity over homegrown extremism and the smouldering aftermath of the Yellow Vest protests against economic inequality has created the impression of a country unmoored and rudderless.<\/p>\n

France’s far-right leader Marine Le Pen is ahead in the polls<\/a> for the 2022 presidential elections, and almost 60 percent<\/a> of French people disapprove of the job Macron is doing.<\/p>\n

Against this bleak political backdrop, Macron has found a rallying cry which the academic Abdellali Hajjat has called the “consensual racism widely shared by French elites<\/a>.” It offers Macron a political lifeline that resonates widely in French society: the spectre of Islam. https:\/\/www.trtworld.com\/magazine\/macron-finds-political-lifeline-through-colonial-approach-to-islam-44108<\/a><\/p>\n

French Leaders Warn That Social Justice Ideas Imported From the U.S. Are Undermining Their Society<\/h2>\n

When the French think you\u2019ve gone too far with your wokeism, you might want to back up a bit. According to the New York Times<\/em><\/a>, French politicians, high profile intellectuals, and journalists warn that ideas from the U.S. about race, gender, and post-colonialism are an existential threat to their country.<\/p>\n

In a long-awaited speech on the subject, Mr. Macron said that the influence of Islamism must be eradicated from public institutions even as he acknowledged government failures in allowing it to spread.<\/p>\n

The measures include placing stringent limits on home-schooling and increasing scrutiny of religious schools, making associations that solicit public funds sign a \u201ccharter\u201d on secularism. While these measures would apply to any group, they are intended to counter extremists in the Muslim community.<\/p>\n

Under the measures, the widespread practice of bringing over foreign imams to work in France, where they are often accused of preaching an outdated or extreme version of Islam, would be ended.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Macron made distinctions between Muslims and Islamism as many other commentators, including Bill Maher and Ayaan Hirsi Ali, do in other parts of the world. He was roasted by the New York Times <\/em>for a right-ward tilt<\/a> and Islamophobia<\/a>. Macron\u2019s response to the criticism was to pick up the phone and call the reporters at the paper.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen France was attacked five years ago, every nation in the world supported us,\u201d Macron said, referring to the\u00a0series of terrorist attacks\u00a0across Paris in November 2015 in which 130 people were killed.<\/p>\n

So when I see, in that context, several newspapers which I believe are from countries that share our values \u2013 journalists who write in a country that is the heir to the Enlightenment and the French Revolution \u2013 when I see them legitimising this violence, and saying that the heart of the problem is that France\u00a0is racist and Islamophobic, then I say the founding principles have been lost.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Macron actually encountered the radical Left\u2019s inability to hold two ideas in their heads at once. Maher and Hirsi Ali have faced similar accusations. The ability to be tolerant of the Muslim religion and Muslims and yet also critical of or concerned about Islamist fundamentalism is beyond the Times<\/em>\u2018 staff. …<\/p>\n

A group of 100 prominent scholars … in an open letter:<\/p>\n

A signatory, Gilles Kepel, an expert on Islam, said that American influence had led to \u201ca sort of prohibition in universities to think about the phenomenon of political Islam in the name of a leftist ideology that considers it the religion of the underprivileged.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

Along with Islamophobia, it was through the \u201ctotally artificial importation\u2019\u2019 in France of the \u201cAmerican-style Black question\u201d that some were trying to draw a false picture of a France guilty of \u201csystemic racism\u2019\u2019 and \u201cwhite privilege,\u2019\u2019 said Pierre-Andr\u00e9 Taguieff, a historian and a leading critic of the American influence.<\/p>\n

Mr. Taguieff said in an email that researchers of race, Islamophobia and post-colonialism were motivated by a \u201chatred of the West, as a white civilization.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cThe common agenda of these enemies of European civilization can be summed up in three words: decolonize, demasculate, de-Europeanize,\u2019\u2019 Mr. Taguieff said. \u201cStraight white male \u2014 that\u2019s the culprit to condemn and the enemy to eliminate.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As far as ‘wokeism’ goes, Europe is not intending to blame its societal problems on having ‘white privilege’ or anything like that. It intends to blame foreigners (Islamic migrants and the USA come to mind) for many of its woes–and many there have been doing so for years.<\/p>\n

French President – who led a push for European \u2018strategic autonomy\u2019 under the Trump administration – warned the EU needs to build its independence.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThe changeover of administration in America is an opportunity to pursue, in a totally peaceful and calm manner, what allies need to understand among themselves, which is that we need to continue to build our independence for ourselves, as the United States does for itself and as China dose for itself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Macron\u2019s concerns have been echoed by Enrico Letta, former Prime Minister of Italy. …<\/p>\n

Mr Macron, French European Commissioner Thierry Breton, European Council President Charles Michel and EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell are strong advocates of strategic autonomy.<\/p>\n

Mr Michel said last month: \u201cLet us remain lucid.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe United States are changing, Europe is changing.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur respective visions and interests will not always converge.\u201d https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/politics\/1369730\/rance-news-Emmanuel-macron-eu-joe-Biden-us-trade-deal-Angela-merkel<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That being said, some others in that article pointed out that Europe still needs the USA for defense, and Germany needs the USA for nuclear protection.<\/p>\n

But the Bible shows a time will come when Europe is the military leader of the world, for a time (Revelation 13:1-4) and will takeover the USA (Daniel 11:39), its British-descended allies (Daniel 8:24-25; Isaiah 17:3), and many nations in the Middle East and North Africa (Daniel 11:40-43).<\/p>\n

Many in Europe are not happy with the USA.<\/a><\/p>\n

And, it is NOT just because of Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

Many in Europe want a non-Muslim society and culture.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, many want Europe to become a major military power.<\/p>\n

Now it should be mentioned that statements and policies from leaders such as Emmanuel Macron may result in Islamic civil unrest in France.<\/p>\n

Europe, and not just France itself, should expect civil unrest, violence, and rioting.<\/p>\n

For years, I have warned about that:<\/p>\n

Will there be civil war or civil unrest in France? While this may seem far fetched to many, it was something that was covered in my book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect<\/a>. \u2026<\/p>\n

If civil war\/riots\/civil unrest do occur in Europe on a large scale, this likely will set the stage for the rising up of a military leader to resolve this. Catholic prophecies specifically suggest that this will happen and they tend to refer to this leader as the \u201cGreat Monarch\u201d (or the \u201cGreat King\u201d).<\/p>\n

This \u201cGreat Monarch\u201d, however, seems to have a lot in common with the prophesied final King of the North and Beast from the Bible. So, if there is major civil unrest across Europe, and likely including France, this would seem to indicate that this leader will rise up fairly soon.<\/p>\n

Austerity measures in Europe may also cause civil unrest. (Thiel B. Civil Unrest in France?<\/a> COGwriter, September 12, 2010)<\/p>\n

Civil unrest in Europe is expected. Places such as France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Eastern Europe have potential for this occurrence. In addition to austerity measures, Islamic protests and immigration related issues will also likely be factors in flaming protests and devastating riots. Expanded civil unrest will have major impacts on the euro and on Europe itself. (Thiel B. Civil Unrest in Greece (and it was predicted<\/a>. COGwriter, December 15, 2010)<\/p>\n

Paris and other parts of France may be in for a rough time. \u2026<\/p>\n

The Bible also tells of a time when a European power will reorganize (Revelation 17:12-13). While I do not believe that we are to the point of fulfilling the reorganization required by Revelation 17:12-13, it seems that a variety of steps will be necessary for the final reorganization to occur. Some of those steps, especially if they involve austerity\/budget cuts and immigration policies, may stir more violent protests in the future. Violent protests can lead to militaristic leaders rising up, and a major militaristic leader rising up is consistent with biblical prophecy (cf. Daniel 11:39-44; Revelation 13:3-4). (Thiel B. Europe should expect civil unrest and rioting. The President of Italy now publicly worries about it, others in Europe have concerns (see Nigel Farage expecting violent revolution in Europe<\/a>), and France is also at risk. \u2026<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Catholic prophecies specifically suggest that this will happen and they tend to refer to this leader as the \u201cGreat Monarch\u201d (or the \u201cGreat King\u201d)\u2013of course, Catholic prophecies also have certain contradictions\u2013but many are consistent with biblical prophecy.I believe that people will point to the fulfillment of various Catholic prophecies in an effort to try to state that this was God\u2019s will and to have a \u201cGreat Monarch\u201d is a good thing, while we in the Continuing Church of God will claim that he is warned against in biblical prophecies. I believe that the Catholic prophecies are part of Satan\u2019s Plan<\/a> to deceive and most will be deceived (Matthew 24:24), as they will be \u201cgiving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons\u201d (1 Timothy 4:1).<\/p>\n

The belief that those in France (as shown in certain Catholic prophecies above) will turn to \u201cMary\u201d is consistent with certain biblical (Isaiah 47; Revelation 17; 2 Thessalonians 2:8-12) and other Catholic prophecies as detailed in my book Fatima Shock!<\/a><\/em> Additionally, the current Pope Francis has also been taking steps to try to turn people to \u201cMary\u201d which is consistent with various prophecies (Pope Francis: Could this Marian Focused Pontiff be Fulfilling Prophecy?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The\u201cGreat Monarch\u201d of Catholic prophecy seems to have a lot in common with the prophesied final King of the North and Beast from the Bible. So, if there is major civil unrest across Europe, and likely including France, this would seem to indicate that this leader could rise up fairly soon. (Thiel B. Civil unrest and\/or civil war will erupt in Europe. Places such as France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Austria, Greece, and Eastern Europe (like Slovenia, Croatia, Moldova, and Bulgaria) have potential for this occurrence. (Thiel B. Why, specifically, did I post that last item in the past?<\/p>\n

Because the Bible shows that terrorism is prophesied:<\/p>\n

14 \u2018But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, 15 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant, 16 I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you<\/strong>, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. 17 I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you<\/strong>. (Leviticus 26:14-17)<\/p>\n
