Central NSW is also in the midst of a mouse plague that they are saying is of Biblical proportions! People still don&#8217;t seem to recognise this is not normal!<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Yes, we are seeing some extreme weather.<\/p>\n<p>God controls the weather and sometimes provides extreme weather for correction. Notice the following from the old WCG:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Bible makes plain who is in control of the weather! &#8220;Fire and hail, snow and clouds; stormy wind, fulfilling His word&#8221; (Ps . 148:8 , RAV).<\/p>\n<p>God intervenes in weather to work out his purposes among nations&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Plagues of disastrous weather are a warning to humanity. Weather for the most part operates according to natural laws. Damaging weather patterns sometimes develop. God simply may not choose to intervene to stop them because of nations&#8217; various sins and idolatry.<\/p>\n<p>The Bible reveals God also directly intervenes to cause weather plagues to warn certain nations. &#8220;I have smitten you with blasting and mildew . .. yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord&#8221; (Amos 4:9). He, in his great purpose, may also allow Satan-the god of this world (II Cor. 4:4)-to have a role in producing calamitous weather, for man&#8217;s ultimate learning (see Job, chapter 1). Plain Truth. 1984, pp. 19-20)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Bible repeatedly warns, especially in the Hebrew scriptures, that various sins will result in destructive weather (see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/weather-sorrows.htm\">Weather Blessings and Sorrows<\/a>). Weather is not as random as most seem to want to believe.<\/p>\n<p>Back in 2009, in a book that accurately laid out what would and would NOT happen in 2012, I mentioned the following was about to happen:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Considering all of the natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, food shortages, and economic problems in the past few years, perhaps this would be a good time to explain that the Bible shows that these problems were expected to occur prior to the great tribulation. Those outside the Bible have sometimes referred to a time such as this as a time of transition or chaos. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>There will be a generation that will experience end-time events, beginning with \u201csorrows,\u201d including the Great Tribulation, heavenly signs, and finally the return of Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:5-34). \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Mark recorded the same account of this time from his perspective:<\/p>\n<p><sup>3<\/sup> Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately, <sup>4<\/sup> \u201cTell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?\u201d <sup>5<\/sup> And Jesus, answering them, began to say: \u201cTake heed that no one deceives you.<sup> 6<\/sup> For many will come in My name, saying, \u2018I am He,\u2019 and will deceive many. <sup>7<\/sup> But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet. <sup>8<\/sup> For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and <strong>there will be famines<\/strong><strong> and troubles<\/strong>. <strong>These are the beginnings of sorrows<\/strong>.<sup> 9<\/sup> But watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. You will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them. <sup>10<\/sup> And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations. <sup>11<\/sup> But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit\u2026\u201d (Mark 13:3\u201311).<\/p>\n<p>Thus, in both Matthew and Mark it is clear that a time called \u201cthe beginning of sorrows\u201d precedes the Great Tribulation.<\/p>\n<p>Notice that in Mark\u2019s account he uses the term troubles. Troubles would seem to include economic and political problems, in addition to those specifically mentioned, such as wars, famines, natural disasters, and pestilences. \u2026<\/p>\n<table border=\"1\" width=\"423\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"281\">Odd weather patterns result in food shortages and natural disasters.<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"122\">Matthew 24:7<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"281\">The world is actually in a berserk transition, as the real age of peace is not yet here. It may be a period of chaos. It is the beginning of sorrows.<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"122\">Matthew 24:8<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>(Thiel B. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thesecretsect.com\">2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect<\/a>. Nazarene Books, 2009)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The above was published because it was consistent with Bible prophecy. We have been seeing odd weather patterns.<\/p>\n<p>Here is number 4 from my list of :<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"style4\">4. Weather Sorrows and Troubles<\/h2>\n<p class=\"style4\">Of course, when thinking about prophecies, many people are concerned about prophecies such as those related to world events, the beginning of sorrows, the four horsemen of the apocalypse, the great tribulation, the rise of the Beast\/Antichrist\/666, Armageddon, etc.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style4\">Jesus said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"style4\">4 And Jesus answered and said to them: &#8220;Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, &#8216;I am the Christ,&#8217; and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. (Matthew 24:4-8)<\/p>\n<p class=\"style4\">5 And Jesus, answering them, began to say: &#8220;Take heed that no one deceives you. 6 For many will come in My name, saying, &#8216;I am He,&#8217; and will deceive many. 7 But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet. 8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. <strong>And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows<\/strong>. Then there are also smaller volcanoes, such as Mt. Rainer, which are believed to have massive potential for disasters themselves.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style4\">In 2017 I warned that California would have worse wildfires than ever before. That happened in 2019 and 2020.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style4\">Last year, I wrote:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"style4\">Look for more extreme weather in 2020. (Ecclesiastes 7:2)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"style4\">Do you take the damage to heart?<\/p>\n<p class=\"style4\">After listing a variety of weather and other curses, God had Amos write:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"style4\">12 \u201cTherefore thus will I do to you, O Israel;<br \/>\nBecause I will do this to you,<br \/>\nPrepare to meet your God, O Israel!\u201d (Amos 4:12)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"style4\">Severe weather actually should to be a motivator for us to change and be ready to face our Creator!<\/p>\n<p class=\"style4\">Of course, people say, \u201cThe weather always changes.\u201d And while it does, there are two point to consider about that.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style4\">The first is that changes in the weather show us that our environment and circumstances can quickly change. As Christians, we need to:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"style4\">34 \u201cBut take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.\u201d (Luke 21:34-36)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"style4\">And that is a warning to get our spiritual life in order.<\/p>\n<p class=\"style4\">The second is to consider that the severity of storms and their devastation has been increasing. Troubles are part of the beginning of sorrows (Mark 13:8; Matthew 24:4-8), and remember that the great tribulation (Matthew 24:21) comes in the same generation as does the beginning of sorrows (Matthew 24:34).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Extreme weather should be a wake-up call to repent.<\/p>\n<p>The warnings from the Bible are going out, but many will ignore them.
