COGwriter<\/a><\/p>\n The Church of Rome is dealing with yet another sex scandal:<\/p>\n July 23, 2021 (LifeSiteNews<\/a>) \u2013 Grindr, the gay hookup app that serves to facilitate anonymous homosexual encounters, condemned the Catholic publication\u00a0The Pillar<\/a> for outing one of its users, the now-former Secretary General of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) Monsignor Jeffrey Burrill, who apparently \u201cengaged in serial sexual misconduct.\u201d\u202f…<\/p><\/blockquote>\n According to The Pillar report, Grindr was the source of a trove of commercially available data it had purchased that an analyst was then able to link to a mobile device used by Burrill, showing that he \u201cvisited gay bars and private residences while using a location-based hookup app in numerous cities from 2018 to 2020, even while traveling on assignment for the U.S. bishops\u2019 conference.\u201d<\/p>\n The alleged covert homosexual activity by Burrill is especially troubling because of his powerful role at the USCCB directing diocesan and conference responses to clerical sexual scandals.<\/p>\n Those seeking to normalize and protect homosexuality within the Catholic Church took to social media this week to object to The Pillar story and protect Burrill.\u201cThis is a disgrace: spying on bishops and priests to see if they’re being chaste and celibate,\u201d tweeted Father James Martin, SJ, perhaps the most outspoken force for the normalization of homosexuality and transgenderism within the Roman Catholic Church. The Church teaches that bishops and priests (with the exception of those married before ordination, such as Eastern Rite priests or those in the Anglican Ordinariate) are to be celibate. …<\/p>\n \u201cHere’s the bottom line: There isn’t a living breathing Catholic who understands the crisis in the Church who doesn’t know the overriding issue is homosexuality within the clergy and even the bishops,\u201d said\u00a0Church Militant\u2019s Michael Voris<\/a>.\u202f \u201c… 10 years ago, The New York Times\u00a0<\/em>correctly labeled the Catholic priesthood a gay profession.\u201d https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/blogs\/gay-hookup-app-grindrcondemns-outing-of-top-us-priest-who-used-it<\/a><\/p>\n July 23, 2021<\/p>\n The Archdiocese of Newark says it will investigate the possibility of clerical sexual misconduct, in response to questions from The Pillar <\/em>about the use of location-based hookup apps at several parish rectories in the archdiocese.<\/p>\n While a spokesperson told The Pillar <\/em>it is \u201cnot acceptable\u201d to use apps \u201cinconsistent with Church teaching,\u201d the archdiocese has also expressed concerns about the \u201cmorally suspect\u201d collection of app signal data. …<\/p>\n Maria Margiotta, spokeswoman for the Archdiocese of Newark, told The Pillar <\/em>on Friday.\u00a0\u201cIt is not acceptable for any member of the clergy to use any app or website in a way that is inconsistent with Church teachings and their own religious vows. Similarly, it is inappropriate for anyone to use an app or website in a way that is inconsistent with Church teachings,\u201d …<\/p>\n The analysis of commercially available signal data obtained by The Pillar<\/em>, which was legally obtained and whose authenticity The Pillar <\/em>confirmed, shows evidence that both homosexual and heterosexual hookup apps were used in parish rectories or other clerical residences with a frequency suggesting, in several cases, residence in those locations. https:\/\/www.pillarcatholic.com\/p\/newark-archdiocese-to-investigate<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n It is terrible how prevalent homosexual behavior is amongst the Roman Catholic clergy.<\/p>\n Now, here is something else about Grindr:<\/p>\n The company touts its mobile platform as \u201cThe World\u2019s Largest Social Networking App for Gay, Bi, Trans and Queer People\u201d and says its users have to be 18 years old and older.<\/p>\n But the app is teeming with underage gay, bisexual and questioning boys, according to researchers, child exploitation specialists and users like Chavez who say they can easily lie about their age to gain access to the service. https:\/\/www.wgbh.org\/news\/national-news\/2021\/07\/12\/popular-gay-dating-app-grindr-poses-exploitation-risk-to-minors<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n So, gays, priests, children, and pedophiles use Grindr.<\/p>\n The very existence of such apps is wrong.<\/p>\n One thing this episode reminds me was the adultery-encouraging website Ashley Madison. Adulterers were subject blackmail, outing, etc. when data related to that website was released. The Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a> put out the following video on our Bible New Prophecy<\/a>YouTube channel related to that:<\/p>\n The pro-adultery \u2018Ashely Madison\u2019 website was hacked and information released on many of its claimed 37 million registered members. Ashley Madison claimed that \u2018life is short, so have an affair\u2019 and that it was confidential. The vast majority of registered members were male). NBC offered tips for those whose identities are being released. What does the Bible teach about adultery or even seriously considering it? Is adultery wicked? The Bible warns that in the last times people will be inventors of evil things and whisperers like Ashley Madison promotes. Is adultery grounds for divorce? Here\u2019s What to Do Now\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Here is a link to our video: Ashley Madison: Your Sins Will Find You Out<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Ashley Madison and Grindr outings brought the following scripture to mind:<\/p>\n 23\u2026 your sin will find you out (Numbers 32:23).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n That being said, the Church of Rome should never have embraced a celibacy requirement for its priesthood.<\/p>\n Having such a requirement is UNBIBLICAL and the fruits have been horrific.<\/p>\n A while back a book came out that pointed out the pervasiveness of homosexuals and others in the clergy of the Church of Rome.<\/p>\n It claimed that around 80% had problems that way (see \u2018Vatican Expels Former US Cardinal McCarrick\u2019 and \u2018Salacious new book says homosexuality is rampant at the Vatican\u2019<\/a>). As reported here earlier this month, the 80% homosexual figure is still being stated about the clregy of the Roman Catholic Church (see \u2018Archbishop Vigan\u00f2 and the Spirit of Elijah\u2019<\/a>).<\/p>\n Various published reports have stated that the majority of priests have violated their vows of celibacy (see \u2018Pope adviser urges rethink on Catholic celibacy\u2019 Two-thirds of Catholic priests reportedly are NOT celibate<\/a> and \u2018Gay Priests, Secret Rules and the Abuse of Nuns: Some of the Vatican Controversies as Bishops Meet\u2019<\/a>).<\/p>\n The Apostle Paul warned:<\/p>\n 9<\/sup> Do you not realise that people who do evil will never inherit the kingdom of God? Make no mistake — the sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, the self-indulgent, sodomites,<\/p>\n <\/a>10<\/sup> thieves, misers, drunkards, slanderers and swindlers, none of these will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, New Jerusalem Bible–a Roman Catholic approved translation)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Note: Sodomites are homosexuals.<\/p>\n It should be clear that many of those that have taken the vow of celibacy have not demonstrated that this leads them to be better spiritually.<\/p>\n The Bible shows that bishops and presbyters\/elders were supposed to have a wife and children. This was partially to demonstrate they could handle a church as Paul wrote per the Roman Catholic<\/a> approved Rheims<\/em> New Testament:<\/p>\n 1. FAITHFUL saying. If a man desire a Bishops office, he desireth a good work. 5. For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest reform the things that are Note that the term translated as priest in verse 4, presbyter, simply means elder. Also notice that the Bishop is also allowed to be married. In Eastern Orthodox<\/a> circles, while their priests are allowed to be married, their bishops are not.<\/p>\n Clerical celibacy was NOT part of the original Christian faith.<\/p>\n Even the Apostle Peter<\/a> had a wife (Matthew 8:14).<\/p>\n And sources like The Catholic Encyclopedia<\/em> acknowledge that from the beginning, celibacy was not a requirement for church leaders:<\/p>\n Turning now to the historical development of the present law of celibacy, we must necessarily begin with St. Paul\u2019s direction (1 Timothy 3:2, 12, and Titus 1:6) that a bishop or a deacon should be \u201cthe husband of one wife\u201d. In the fourth century we still find St. Gregory Nazianzen\u2019s father, who was Bishop of Nanzianzos, living with his wife, without scandal. But very soon after that the present Eastern rule obtained. It is less strict than in the West. No one can marry after he has been ordained priest (Paphnutius at the first Council of Nicaea maintains this; the first Canon of the Synod of Neocaesarea in 314 or 325, and Can. Apost., xxvi. The Synod of Elvira about 300 had decreed absolute celibacy for all clerks in the West, Can. xxxiii, ib., pp. 238-239); priests already married may keep their wives (the same law applied to deacons and subdeacons: Can. vi of the Synod in Trullo, 692), but bishops must be celibate. As nearly all secular priests were married this meant that, as a general rule, bishops were chosen from the monasteries, and so these became, as they still are, the road through advancement may be attained (Fortesque A. Original from Harvard University, pp. 53-54)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n So as late as the early fourth century, the idea of required celibacy was opposed by most of the clergy.<\/p>\n The fruits of a supposed celibate priesthood have not been good.<\/p>\n Thousands and thousands have been sexually abused by Roman Catholic clerics.<\/p>\n Now, regarding scandals in the 21st century, consider (as I posted here before) that the Roman Catholics have a couple of prophecies about it facing scandals:<\/p>\n Ven. Holzhauser<\/em> (17th century): The Great Monarch will come when the Latin Church is desolated, humiliated, and afflicted with many heresies<\/strong> (Dupont Y. Catholic Prophecy: The Coming Chastisement. TAN Books, Rockford (IL), 1973, p. 114).<\/p>\n Nicholas of Fluh <\/em>(15th century): The Church will be punished because the majority of her members, high and low, will become so perverted<\/strong>. (Dupont, p. 30)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n We have seen that many perverts have been associated with the Church of Rome. These sex scandals have humiliated the Church of Rome (\u201cthe Latin Church\u201d). So, if the first prediction above is correct, then we are very near the time that the \u201cGreat Monarch<\/a><\/span>\u201d will rise up. I believe he will do so this century, and likely within a decade or likely sooner.<\/p>\n Also, according to an Eastern Orthodox writer, the \u201cGreat Monarch<\/a><\/span>\u201d is also supposed to rise up during the time there are \u201cvery impious priests\u201d (Tzima Otto, p. 53; see also The Great Monarch: Biblical and Catholic Prophecies<\/a><\/span>)\u2013which would be consistent with the whole sex scandal issue among the Roman Catholic priesthood.<\/p>\n Many may find it of interest to realize that the Great Monarch<\/a><\/span> that various Eastern and Roman Catholic prophecies look forward to seems remarkably similar to the King of the North<\/a> Beast power that the Bible warns against. The Great Monarch, for a time, will restore a CHANGED and even more ecumenical version of Eastern and Roman catholicism and many will go for it.<\/p>\n But irrespective of Greco-Roman Catholic prophecies, the revelations about the sex scandals and how the Church of Rome has handled many of them is showing major problems with the Church of Rome.<\/p>\n Pushing celibacy for the Roman Catholic priesthood has had terrible fruits.<\/p>\n Celibacy was NOT a belief of the original catholic church.<\/p>\n Some items of related interest may include:<\/em><\/p>\n Beliefs of the Original Catholic Church<\/a>.
