It\u2019s a move that could deepen a growing chasm in U.S.-China relations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-210 Component-p-0-2-201\">Biden made the announcement alongside British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, who joined him by video to unveil the new alliance, which will be called AUKUS (pronounced AWK-us). The three announced they would quickly turn their attention to developing nuclear-powered submarines for Australia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-210 Component-p-0-2-201\">\u201cWe all recognize the imperative of ensuring peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific over the long term,\u201d said Biden, who said the new alliance reflects a broader trend of key European partners playing a role in the Indo-Pacific. \u201cWe need to be able to address both the current strategic environment in the region and how it may evolve.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-210 Component-p-0-2-201\">Top French officials made clear they were unhappy with the deal, which undercuts the DCNS deal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-210 Component-p-0-2-201\">\u201cThe American choice to exclude a European ally and partner such as France from a structuring partnership with Australia, at a time when we are facing unprecedented challenges in the Indo-Pacific region, whether in terms of our values or in terms of respect for multilateralism based on the rule of law, shows a lack of coherence that France can only note and regret,\u201d French foreign minister Jean-Yves Le Drian and defense minister Florence Parly said in a joint statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-210 Component-p-0-2-201\">Morrison said the three countries had \u201calways seen through a similar lens,\u201d but, as the world becomes more complex, \u201cto meet these new challenges, to help deliver the security and stability our region needs, we must now take our partnership to a new level.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/joe-biden-business-china-australia-united-states-1b2e597918bc1c8dd1aab26ab32c9621\">https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/joe-biden-business-china-australia-united-states-1b2e597918bc1c8dd1aab26ab32c9621<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>So, the UK, USA, and Australia are working to be even closer militarily and that upset the Europeans from France.<\/p>\n<p>The UK, Australia, and USA, along with Canada and New Zealand are part of what is called the Five Eyes alliance. A club that Europe has wanted in, but thus far, has been kept out of.<\/p>\n<p>There is a closeness between the Anglo-American nations.<\/p>\n<p>Biblically, they are siblings (cf. Are there biblical and other reasons to think that this threat is real? It has wanted to be. And while those in Europe do not normally think that they will wish to destroy the USA (cf. Isaiah 10:7), the Bible shows that ultimately a primarily continental European power will (Isaiah 10:5-12; Daniel 11:39). The UK coming closer to the USA on Huawei is something that the EU does not care for. Plus, the EU is not going to get over the UK&#8217;s decision to leave the EU (Brexit).<\/p>\n<p>As far as the relationship of the Anglo-American nations to Europe, consider that the following prophecy shows that allies will be betrayed:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>1 How lonely sits the city<br \/>\nThat was full of people!<br \/>\nHow like a widow is she,<br \/>\nWho was great among the nations!<br \/>\nThe princess among the provinces<br \/>\nHas become a slave!<\/p>\n<p>2 She weeps bitterly in the night,<br \/>\nHer tears are on her cheeks;<br \/>\nAmong all her lovers<br \/>\nShe has none to comfort her.<br \/>\n<strong>All her friends have dealt treacherously with her;<br \/>\nThey have become her enemies<\/strong>. (Lamentations 1:1-2)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The USA, UK (AKA &#8220;Great Britain&#8221;), and Canada (including the other Anglo-Saxon-Commonwealth nations) were \u201cgreat among the nations.\u201d And the Bible is clear that betrayal is coming from national FRIENDS!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>What about Australia and New Zealand?<\/p>\n<p>I expect problems in Australia and its eventual loss of sovereignty. I also expect New Zealand to lose its sovereignty.
