Macron Urges Europe To “Stop Being Naive” After Inking ‘Face-Saving’ Defense Deal With Greece<\/h2>\n

In an apparent indirect swipe at the US, Australia and the UK in the wake of the ‘AUKUS’ agreement which cut France out of a major multi-billion dollar deal with Australia, French President Emmanuel Macron in new statements has\u00a0urged Europe\u00a0to “stop being naive”<\/strong>\u00a0– suggesting Paris is critically reviewing its traditional alliances and is ready to build-up European defenses independent of others.<\/p>\n

“The Europeans must stop being naive. When we are under pressure from powers, which at times harden (their stance),\u00a0we need to react and show that we have the power and capacity to defend ourselves<\/strong>. Not escalating things, but protecting ourselves,”\u00a0Macron\u00a0said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He made the provocative remarks at a Tuesday news conference and signing ceremony alongside Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, after Greece and France finalized a major deal to upgrade Greek military purchases. Last year Greece ordered two dozen\u00a0Dassault-made Rafale fighter jets as part of a 2.5 billion euro package – but\u00a0at the joint press conference the two leaders hailed an extension of the deal for\u00a0another six Rafele jets as well as three\u00a0Belharra French frigates for Greece’s navy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Greece will be the first European country to acquire France’s jet fighter, while the deal for the frigates is expected to be a around another three billion euros. This week’s announcements are perhaps intended to also be a\u00a0‘face saving’ exercise after the AUKUS pact humiliation earlier this month<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“It contributes to European security, to the strengthening of Europe\u2019s strategic autonomy and sovereignty, and thus to international peace and security,” Macron said. https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/markets\/macron-urges-europe-stop-being-naive-after-inking-face-saving-defense-deal-greece<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The not-so-subtle meaning of President Macron’s statements is that he believes that the Europeans cannot rely on the USA, it is na\u00efve\/stupid to do so, and that Europe needs to better develop strategic military and political autonomy so it cannot be hurt by USA actions or inactions.<\/p>\n

Europe is prophesied to take actions which will enable it to take over the USA (cf. Daniel 11:39), its British-descended allies (cf. Isaiah 17:3a; Daniel 8:24-25), as well as a coming confederation of nations in the Middle East and North Africa (Daniel 11:40-43).<\/p>\n

This will cause the rest of the world to marvel at this military success per Revelation 13:3-4.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Bible shows that Europe will essentially rule the world economically for a time (cf. Revelation chapters 17 and 18).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

While President Macron is chastising Europe for being na\u00efve related to the USA, it should be pointed out that Americans are much more na\u00efve about what the Bible says will happen in Europe (like it developing “a great army” per Daniel 11:25) and that it will conquer the USA (the power with the “strongest fortresses” in Daniel 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses<\/a><\/span>).<\/p>\n

This destruction will not be too many years from now (watch Is the USA prophesied to be destroyed by 2028?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The Biden-Harris Administration probably gave Europe’s possible reaction, to military deal it made with the UK and Australia earlier this month, a little thought.<\/p>\n

But many in Europe are giving it a lot of thought (see also\u00a0\u2018Is Biden\u2019s relationship with Europe beyond repair?\u2019<\/a>).<\/p>\n

This will not end well for the USA or its British-descended allies.<\/p>\n
