European road (Pixabay photo) COGwriter<\/a><\/p>\n Notice the following:<\/p>\n The European Union will unveil next week its strategy for more than 40 billion euros ($45.9 billion) in technology and infrastructure spending that is a key part of the West\u2019s response to China\u2019s Belt and Road program.<\/p>\n The EU\u2019s \u201cGlobal Gateway\u201d strategy will focus on digital, transport, energy and trade projects, according to a draft seen by Bloomberg. The plan is aimed at boosting Europe\u2019s interests and competitiveness around the world, while also promoting sustainable environmental standards and values such as democracy, human rights and the rule of law. …<\/p>\n The Global Gateway plan will \u201cprovide an umbrella brand for the already extensive EU investment in infrastructure worldwide, …<\/p>\n The EU will offer 40 billion euros in guarantees from its European Fund for Sustainable Development Plus mechanism, … investments in connectivity are expected to rise significantly through its Global Europe development assistance program, which has an overall budget of 79.5 billion euros. …<\/p>\n In rolling out the Global Gateway strategy, the EU will aim to back projects spanning the globe, including:<\/p>\n The EU project is ambitious. It is intended to help insure, that it, and not China will gain dominance. This is strategically interesting in that Europe is not intending to spend as much as China, but by being more selective about where to spend its funds, it will mainly fill in ‘gaps’ that it expects will benefit it the most.<\/p>\n The Bible shows that economically as the “daughter of Babylon” Europe will rise up in this century–(cf. Revelation chapters 17 & 18)–and this looks to be a step in that direction.<\/p>\n Consider that while China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) itself will face various obstacles, it looks to be supportive of some biblical prophecies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Since the Bible teaches that it will be Europe that will dominate world trade, the BRI and Europe’s Global Gateway look to be ways that Europe will get access to markets in Asia and Africa. Roads work both way. Furthermore, Europe has a long history of trading with Asia and is prophesied to continue to do so.<\/p>\n Consider that the Bible teaches the following about an end time European power:<\/p>\n 2 \u2026 Babylon \u2026 3<\/span> For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury. (Revelation 18:2,3)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n The above is referring to the fact that nations of the world are prophesied to get wealthy trading with end time Babylon, which will be a European entity.<\/p>\n Back in 1971, the old Worldwide Church of God (WCG) published the following:<\/p>\n Momentous, historic events are transforming Western Europe. Now, let me add that less than a decade after the above was published, the WCG publicly announced that Eastern Europe would also be part of this European power. And within a decade of that, Eastern European nations began to officially join in with what has become the European Union.
