Here are some reports related to how it is going related to Great Britain’s exit from the European Union, also known as Brexit:<\/p>\n

A BREXIT row has erupted over the notion of the European Union dictating how parts of Britain are run, with one furious commentator stating that “the people have no say” in the EU’s role in Northern Ireland. …<\/h3>\n

The news comes as the Northern Ireland Protocol is yet to be resolved, and with the resignation of the former Brexit Minister, Lord David Frost, the talks are set to continue into the new year under the instructions of Foreign Minister, Liz Truss. …<\/p>\n

The European Union however has remained highly critical over the ongoing talks.<\/p>\n

\u201cLondon has breached a great deal of trust\u201d with Europe, the bloc\u2019s chief negotiator has claimed.<\/p>\n

European Commission vice president Maros Sefcovic told German news website Der Spiegel that problems with the Northern Ireland Protocol \u2013 a way to maintain a free-flowing land border on the island of Ireland after Brexit \u2013 meant the UK \u201cbroke international law\u201d in trying to get around the arrangement. https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/politics\/1543088\/Brexit-news-northern-ireland-protocol-european-union-EU-Lord-daniel-moylan<\/a><\/p>\n

One year on, what’s next for Brexit?<\/h2>\n

A year after Britain’s new trade pact with the EU was sealed, UK exports to the bloc have plunged. With unfinished business around fisheries, Northern Ireland and financial services, what’s next for Brexit? …<\/p>\n

New rules governing EU-UK trade took effect in January 2021, requiring four-page customs forms for all goods and health certificates for meat and dairy products. As a result, British exports to the EU fell nearly 15% in the first 10 months of the year, according to the EU’s statistics agency Eurostat, while UK agri-food exports dropped by more than a quarter. …<\/p>\n

Red tape is set to get much worse from January, as the UK introduces new paperwork for imports from the EU, which must be lodged with authorities before goods are loaded on trains or trucks to Britain. …<\/p>\n

The row between Britain and France over fishing rights in UK-EU waters<\/a> is set to\u00a0persist, while the Northern Ireland protocol<\/a> \u2014 a measure to avoid a hard border between the British territory of Northern Ireland and EU member, the Republic of Ireland \u2014 will only be settled when London concedes that the European Court of Justice should rule on trade disputes. …<\/p>\n

“What we can say is that the notable loss of UK trade with continental Europe \u2026 was not mirrored in UK trade with the rest of the world,” Iain Begg, Professorial Research Fellow at the European Institute, London School of Economics (LSE), told DW. …<\/p>\n

While Britain has concluded new deals with Japan, Australia and New Zealand, “It’s more a question of: ‘Who cares?'” said Begg, as the three countries represent a tiny share of UK exports. “Even if we double that share, they’re still tiny.”<\/p>\n

The post-Brexit trade deal hasn’t, however, led to some of the worst doomsday predictions. …<\/p>\n

Despite the gloomy headlines, political campaigning\u00a0and a recent poll showing that 60% of Britons now think Brexit has gone “badly” or “worse\u00a0than expected,” the chances of Britain rejoining the EU remain as unlikely as ever, said Begg.<\/p>\n

“The whole Brexit saga has been so painful in UK domestic politics that I cannot see any wish to rejoin anytime soon.” From the EU side, “I can’t see it happening in a generation, let alone in the near future.” 12\/30\/21 https:\/\/www.dw.com\/en\/one-year-on-whats-next-for-brexit\/a-60290865<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

No, the UK is not going to rejoin the European Union.<\/p>\n

As far as France goes, last month it stated it wants the UK punished for Brexit (see AP: UK\u2019s Johnson warns of \u2018doomsday\u2019 as climate summit begins; BB: France Says Britain Must Be Punished for Brexit, Leaving EU Should be \u2018More Damaging than Remaining\u2019<\/a>).<\/p>\n

It has long been the position of various ones in the European Union that the UK should be punished for Brexit as the BBC\u2019s<\/em> Kevin Connolly reported back in April 2017 (see EU states that UK must pay a price for Brexit and be worse off than EU member states<\/a>):<\/p>\n

The 27 EU Remainer states are adamant that Britain will pay a price for leaving and will be worse off outside than the union than it is on the inside.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The EU does not want other nations thinking that they can, should, or might leave.<\/p>\n

The EU wants the UK to interpret the Brexit agreements its way (see, for example, \u2018EU says Britain must respect Brexit deal down to the letter\u2019<\/a>). The EU has increased bureaucracy, and the UK is looking to do the same.<\/p>\n

Damage of the \u201ctrust\u201d between the UK and EU has occurred.<\/p>\n

The EU wants to dominate world trade. It also wants the world to adopt its standards, and that includes the UK. That is part of why it has not conceded on certain trade points (plus, it wants to be seen as punishing the UK as it wants to discourage other nations from leaving the EU).<\/p>\n

Ultimately Brexit will result in disaster for the UK–and more than economic matters.<\/p>\n

Prophetically, that is not unexpected.<\/p>\n

Since last century, Church of God (COG) writers have long taught that the UK would not be part of the final Beast power that will arise in Europe. Notice some statements put out by the writers once part of the old Radio Church of God, old Worldwide Church of God, and\/or the current Continuing<\/em> Church of God<\/a> years before the Brexit vote:<\/p>\n

Here is Britain trying to GET IN on this uniting of Europe! \u2026 It is this same daughter of ancient Babylon who is to lay the YOKE of captivity and slavery on America and Britain. \u2026<\/p>\n

Britain is allowing itself to get mixed in with European foreigners \u2026 When God brings Britain DOWN-the time of JACOBS\u2019 S TROUBLE -the only time when the DAUGHTER of Babylon will be sitting astride a united MILITARY EUROPE. \u2026 in prophecy, the NAME Jacob or the name Israel, often refers to the two great nations descended from Ephraim and Manasseh. The soon-coming resurrected \u201cHoly Roman Empire\u201d \u2013 a sort of soon-coming \u201cUnited States of Europe\u201d \u2013 a union of ten nations to rise up out of or following the Common Market of today. Perhaps it should be mentioned that the general position within the Churches of God is that Britain will not remain in the EU and will pull out at some point.<\/em> (Thiel B. It should be understood that ultimately, Britain will NOT thrive as part of the EU but will be taken over by the final European Beast power\u2013yet its former Prime Minister is promoting something that will not help the peoples of the UK. Ephraim (modern Great Britain) will not be part of the \u201cBeast\u201d power, so we can expect some significant change that will push the British out of the EU. (Davis. D. Ireland says \u201cNo!\u201d to EU power grab. Commentary, July, 1 2008)<\/p>\n

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland will not be an equal part of the European Union. Britain will either pull out or be forced out or at least truly lose its sovereignty. Many of the Anglo-peoples of the UK, USA, etc. that are not killed will to be scattered and many will be made slaves (Will the Anglo-Nations be Divided and Have People Taken as Slaves?<\/a>). That is what the Bible shows will happen during the Great Tribulation.<\/p>\n

As far as this \u201cBeast King\u201d goes, he could possibly be the next EU president, but a restructure ultimately will be needed in Europe for the King of the North to have the type of power that the Bible indicate he will have (Revelation 17:12-13). The EU is not ready for that yet.<\/p>\n

However, Tony Blair\u2019s statements today are pointing to one more step towards certain biblical prophesies being fulfilled as he is realizing that the UK wants to pull out of the UK\u2013and that is something will happen (directly or indirectly).<\/p>\n

The final King of the North (Daniel 11:27-40) will take over the UK, USA, and their Anglo-allies according to Bible prophecy (cf. Daniel 11:39). While more people in the UK are starting to realize that the EU poses dangers to it, most have no idea how dangerous the rising Beast power in Europe will become (cf. Revelation 13:1-4; Daniel 11:39). Britain will ultimately NOT thrive as part of the EU but will be taken over by the final European Beast power. (Thiel B. EU \u2026 Britain \u2026 if<\/em> she does enter the European Economic Community (EEC), will she remain<\/em> in this union? \u2026 Bible prophecy clearly shows that Britain will not <\/em>be one of the \u2026 NATIONS comprising the final <\/em>United States of Europe (McNair R. A Strong United Europe. Tomorrow\u2019s World, February 1970, p. 17).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Back in the early 1990s, when I was vice president of an irrigation equipment manufacturer and the EU was still called the European Economic Community, I told our British sales representative, who was visiting the factory in California, that one day the UK would separate from Europe. He flat out told me that could not possibly happen. And he gave his reasons, but they were not biblical ones\u2013I told him he was in error. The departure of the UK from the EU shows that those of us who understood biblical prophecies were correct on this.<\/p>\n

Many critics have claimed that there is no truth to the COG position that the Anglo-Americans (see Anglo \u2013 America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel<\/a>) are descended from Israel\u2019s son Joseph (through his sons Ephraim and Manasseh).<\/p>\n

Yet, it is because of our understanding of that, COG writers have long taught that the UK would not be part of the final Beast<\/a> power. Essentially, COG writers predicted Brexit decades before the Brexit vote. Including myself about 30 years ago, and Raymond McNair over 50 years ago.<\/p>\n

What about Europe?<\/p>\n

The EU will have ups and downs.<\/p>\n

It will have financial strains because of Brexit.<\/p>\n

Yet, it will build its military.<\/p>\n

Apparently after a financial crisis and civil unrest, the Bible shows that Europe will reorganize and lose all pretenses of being democratic:<\/p>\n

12 \u201cThe ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. 14 These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.\u201d (Revelation 17:12-14)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Notice that Europe will fight against true Christians, but that Jesus will have Europe defeated.<\/p>\n

Jesus<\/a> will return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Revelation 19:16) and establish the millennial Kingdom of God<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Here is a list of some things that the Bible shows will happen (several of which are already in progress):<\/p>\n
