The credit rating agency Moody\u2019s warned Thursday that it is considering downgrading the United States\u2019 credit rating as the odds increase that the government will default on its debt.<\/p>\n

Moody\u2019s said that even if Congress agrees to raise the $14.3 trillion debt ceiling, the country could face a downgrade if lawmakers don\u2019t include a comprehensive package that meaningfully reduces the annual budget deficit.\u00a0 http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/business\/economy\/moodys-if-debt-deal-fails-us-risks-credit-downgrade\/2011\/06\/02\/AGKVsTHH_story.html<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The U.S. and the British-descended peoples have enjoyed living off the resources of the world, but the prophet Habakkuk warns: \u201c\u2026 Will not your creditors rise up suddenly?<\/em> Will they not awaken who oppress you? Hebrew prophets also warned repeatedly that the future demise of God\u2019s chosen Israelite peoples would come “suddenly” and unexpectedly<\/em> (Isaiah 9:14\u201315; 29:5; 30:13; Jeremiah 6:26; 15:8). Modern financial analysts realize this could happen if the nations lending to America decide to dump the dollar and call their loans. The prophet Habakkuk\u2019s warning to the ancient Babylonians, “Will not your creditors rise up suddenly?” (Habakkuk 2:7)\u2014may also ring true for debt-plagued nations like America and its Israelite cousins. Prophecy moves forward–significant personal repentance is probably the only way out. \u00a0 National repentance for the USA seems highly unlikely as does seriously properly eliminating the debt.<\/p>\n
