ZAHONY, Hungary (AP) \u2014 It\u2019s a global day to celebrate women, but many fleeing Ukraine feel only the stress of finding a new life for their children as husbands, brothers and fathers stay behind to defend their country from Russia\u2019s invasion<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The number of refugees reached 2 million on Tuesday, according to the United Nations, the fastest exodus Europe has seen since World War II. One million of them are children, UNICEF spokesman James Elder tweeted, calling it \u201ca dark historical first.\u201d https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/russia-ukraine-europe-hungary-migration-5afeb902545d7a9acc764eefd2ae472f<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Since most males between ages 18 to 60 are not allowed to leave Ukraine, the total would likely be much higher if they were not forced to remain for military service.<\/p>\n

The Poles, Hungarians, Moldovans, Romanians, Slovakians, Russians, and others should be commended for taking in the women and children who have fled Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Please continue to pray for those affected by this in Ukraine, Russia, and throughout Europe.<\/p>\n

The result of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine is having prophetic ramifications.<\/p>\n

But some have misinterpreted them.<\/p>\n

Several European nations responded to Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine by building up the defense budgets. The calls for a multi-national European Union military are even more concerning in a decidedly pre-Gog and Magog development.<\/p>\n

In a televised speech on Wednesday night, French President Emmanuel Macron renewed his calls for an EU army, saying that Europe had entered a \u201cnew era\u201d and would need to boost investment in military defense and energy independence.<\/p>\n

Depending on others<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u201cWe can no longer depend on others to feed us, care for us, inform us, finance us,\u201d Macron said. \u201cWe cannot depend on others to defend us, whether on land, at sea, under the sea, in the air, in space, or cyberspace. In this respect, our European defense must take a new step forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOur European defense needs to pass a new stage,\u201d Macron said. …<\/p>\n

Dialogue with Russia<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u201cI want to build a real security dialogue with Russia, which is a country I respect, a European country,\u201d Macron said. \u201cBut we must have a Europe that can defend itself on its own without relying only on the United States.\u201d …<\/p>\n

A \u201cwatershed moment.\u201d<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Steps have already been taken in this direction as, for the first time, the EU is financing the purchase of lethal weapons for countries under attack, a decision that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen described<\/a> as a \u201cwatershed moment.\u201d …<\/p>\n

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced an immediate injection of $110 billion into the NATO defense fund. He also pledged that Germany would reach the defense target set by NATO of two percent of a member state\u2019s GDP.<\/p>\n

Though some Protestant prophecy watchers also see Russia’s moves into Ukraine as related to Ezekiel 38, that is not the case. Ezekiel 38 does not get fulfilled until well after Jesus returns.<\/p>\n

That being said, yes, the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine has served as a more public ‘wakeup call’ for Europe.<\/p>\n

While European leaders like President Macron have long pushed for a European military that is independent of the USA, many in Europe basically had considered that unnecessary.<\/p>\n

Now, however Europeans are scared as most did not think anything like the current bombing and fighting in Ukraine was possible.<\/p>\n

They were wrong.<\/p>\n

They do not like that they basically can do little militarily without the USA.<\/p>\n

Fear is a powerful motivator and is a factor in Europe deciding to support a more powerful and unified European military.<\/p>\n

The European nations are also, eventually going to support the Beast power that will rise up in Europe for a time.<\/p>\n

After a time of crises, Europe is prophesied to reorganize and turn power over to a dictator, the Bible calls the beast:<\/p>\n

12 The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Bible, Revelation 13, tells of the Beast power having seven heads and ten horns:<\/p>\n

1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. (Revelation 13:1-2)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The sea that this is referring to is the Mediterranean Sea, as passages in the Old Testament demonstrate (Daniel 7:2-3; Numbers 34:6-7; Joshua 1:4; 9:1; 23:4; Ezekiel 47:13-16; watch also Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The Beast power to come will be European.<\/p>\n
