Notice the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"entry-header content-list-title\">Five Warning Signs the End of Dollar Hegemony Is Near\u2026 Here\u2019s What Happens Next<\/h2>\n<p>It\u2019s no secret that China and Russia have been stashing away as much gold as possible for many years.<\/p>\n<p>China is the world\u2019s largest producer and buyer of gold. Russia is number two. Most of that gold finds its way into the Russian and Chinese governments\u2019 treasuries.<\/p>\n<p>Russia has over 2,300 tonnes\u2014or nearly 74 million troy ounces\u2014of gold, one of the largest stashes in the world. Nobody knows the exact amount of gold China has, but most observers believe it is even larger than Russia\u2019s stash.<\/p>\n<p>Russia and China\u2019s gold gives them access to an apolitical neutral form of money with no counterparty risk.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, gold has been mankind\u2019s most enduring form of money for over 2,500 years because of unique characteristics that make it suitable to store and exchange value.<\/p>\n<p>Gold is durable, divisible, consistent, convenient, scarce, and most importantly, the \u201chardest\u201d of all physical commodities.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, gold is the one physical commodity that is the \u201chardest to produce\u201d (relative to existing stockpiles) and, therefore, the most resistant to inflation. That\u2019s what gives gold its superior monetary properties.<\/p>\n<p>Russia and China can use their gold to engage in international trade and perhaps back the currencies.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why gold represents a genuine monetary alternative to the US dollar, and Russia and China have a lot of it.<\/p>\n<p>Today it\u2019s clear why China and Russia have had an insatiable demand for gold.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019ve been waiting for the right moment to pull the rug from beneath the US dollar. And now is that moment\u2026<\/p>\n<p>This is a big problem for the US government, which reaps an unfathomable amount of power because the US dollar is the world\u2019s premier reserve currency. It allows the US to print fake money out of thin air and export it to the rest of the world for real goods and services\u2014a privileged racket no other country has.<\/p>\n<p>Russia and China\u2019s gold could form the foundation of a new monetary system outside of the control of the US. Such moves would be the final nail in the coffin of dollar dominance.<\/p>\n<p>Five recent developments are a giant flashing red sign that something big could be imminent. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s clear the US dollar\u2019s days of unchallenged dominance are quickly ending\u2014something even the Fed Chairman openly admits.<\/p>\n<p>To recap, here are the five imminent, flashing red warning signs the end of dollar hegemony is near.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Warning Sign #1: Russia Sanctions Prove Dollar Reserves \u201cAren\u2019t Really Money\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Warning Sign #2: Rubles, Gold, and Bitcoin for Gas, Oil, and Other Commodities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Warning Sign #3: The Petrodollar System Flirts With Collapse<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Warning Sign #4: Out of Control Money Printing and Record Price Increases<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Warning Sign #5: Fed Chair Admits Dollar Supremacy Is Dead<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If we take a step back and zoom out, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/internationalman.com\/special-report\/guide-to-surviving-and-thriving-during-an-economic-collapse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Big Picture is clear<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We are likely on the cusp of a historic shift\u2026 and what\u2019s coming next could change everything. 05\/21\/22 <a href=\"https:\/\/internationalman.com\/articles\/five-warning-signs-the-end-of-dollar-hegemony-is-near-heres-what-happens-next\/\">https:\/\/internationalman.com\/articles\/five-warning-signs-the-end-of-dollar-hegemony-is-near-heres-what-happens-next\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yes, the hegemony of the USA dollar is going to end.<\/p>\n<p>For most of its history, the USA dollar was directly convertible to gold. It no longer is. This, sadly, has been a factor in the USA simply creating money out of nothing.<\/p>\n<p>The USA has been able to get away with this for decades, but with its sanctions, increasing debt, and\u00a0 weaponizing of the dollar, other nations are taking steps.<\/p>\n<p>As far as its dollar and gold goes, around 1961 the USA was starting to not have enough gold to back its dollar. Notice something that the old the <em>Plain Truth<\/em> magazine reported over 60 years ago:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/plain-truth-1961-feb.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"217\" height=\"284\" \/><br \/>\n<em>Plain Truth, February 1961<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Germany, Japan have the largest <em>surpluses<\/em> of GOLD and DOLLARS&#8230;Rich Uncle {Sam} has the greatest deficit in governmental history and a GREATER DEBT than all the REST OF THE WORLD COMBINED!&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Vast foreign aid programs drain the U.S. Treasury&#8230;American spending to supply services and to support our troops in foreign countries and military installations around the world amounts to &#8230; dollars flowing out of the frightened U.S. Treasury. All of these factors, combined with heavy taxes, gigantic public and private debt, and no gold backing for our own currency<strong> if foreign investors demanded gold for their dollars, adds up to the staggering revelation that the U.S., richest nation in the world, is bordering on bankruptcy!<\/strong> (Hill DJ. February 1961, p. 9).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>France did finally cash in dollars for gold and this caused a crisis in the USA.<\/p>\n<p>The USA went off the gold standard completely in 1971. About the same time it made a deal with Saudi Arabia to price oil in dollars. So, while this prevented &#8220;foreigners&#8221; from being able to redeem US dollars for something from the USA treasury, instead it meant that dollars could be used to buy oil. As other (mostly smaller) oil producers followed Saudi Arabia&#8217;s lead, this has served to support the US dollar for several decades.<\/p>\n<p>But notice:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>For the last 50 years, virtually anyone who wanted to import oil needed US dollars to pay for it.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s because, in the early \u201970s, the US made an agreement to protect Saudi Arabia in exchange for ensuring, among other things, all OPEC producers only accept US dollars for their oil.<\/p>\n<p>Every country needs oil. And if foreign countries need US dollars to buy oil, they have a compelling reason to hold large dollar reserves.<\/p>\n<p>This creates a huge artificial market for US dollars and forces foreigners to soak up many of the new currency units the Fed creates. Naturally, this gives a tremendous boost to the value of the dollar. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The Wall Street Journal recently reported that the Chinese and the Saudis had entered into serious discussions to accept yuan as payment for Saudi oil exports instead of dollars.<\/p>\n<p>The WSJ article claims the Saudis are angry at the US for not supporting it enough in its war against Yemen. They were further dismayed by the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and the nuclear negotiations with Iran.<\/p>\n<p>In short, the Saudis don\u2019t think the US is holding up its end of the deal. So they don\u2019t feel like they need to hold up their part.<\/p>\n<p>Even the WSJ admits such a move would be disastrous for the US dollar.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe Saudi move could chip away at the supremacy of the US dollar in the international financial system, which Washington has relied on for decades to print Treasury bills it uses to finance its budget deficit.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Here\u2019s the bottom line.<\/p>\n<p>Saudi Arabia\u2014the linchpin of the petrodollar system\u2014is flirting in the open with China about selling its oil in yuan. One way or another\u2014and probably soon\u2014the Chinese will find a way to compel the Saudis to accept the yuan.<\/p>\n<p>The sheer size of the Chinese market makes it impossible for Saudi Arabia\u2014and other oil exporters\u2014to ignore China\u2019s demands to pay in yuan indefinitely. Moreover, using the INE to exchange oil for gold further sweetens the deal for oil exporters.<\/p>\n<p>Sometime soon, there will be a lot of extra dollars floating around suddenly looking for a home now that they are not needed to purchase oil.<\/p>\n<p>It signals an imminent and enormous change for anyone holding US dollars. Russia and China are working towards a world where the US dollar is not the world&#8217;s primary reserve currency and a world where gold rises up (see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/end-of-us-dollar.htm\">The End of US Dollar Dominance<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The US dollar will collapse as scriptures like Habakkuk 2:6-8 and Daniel 11:39 point to. Daniel 11:39 is the start of the time of Jacob&#8217;s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7) also known as the Great Tribulation.<\/p>\n<p>The world will have been used to the stability of the US dollar and Europe will want to try to have that type of confidence in its currency. It will get more gold!<\/p>\n<p>Consider the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain (Daniel 11:39).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The \u201che\u201d is the <a href=\"\/europa.htm\">European<\/a> <a href=\"\/kingofthenorth.htm\">King of the North<\/a>. The &#8220;land&#8221; will likely not be the only thing he will gain&#8211;as that would include whatever other wealth he can plunder from the USA&#8211;and that would include getting the Fort Knox and other gold in the USA.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the Bible clearly shows that gold will have value into at least the first few years of the Great Tribulation&#8211;and that the Europeans will also value it.<\/p>\n<p>Notice the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>40 &#8220;At the time of the end &#8230; 43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver and over all the precious things of Egypt; (Daniel 11:40,43)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Verse 43 occurs during the time known as the Great Tribulation.<\/p>\n<p>As far as Europe, gold, and the tribulation go, notice the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>10 &#8230; &#8216;Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>11 &#8220;And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore: 12 merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble; 13 and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men. (Revelation 18:10-13)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This shows us that gold and silver were important during the time of the final Babylon as people are mourning about gold after the Great Tribulation has ended and Babylon is destroyed.<\/p>\n<p>There are no similar statements backing up the future value of paper items, like the US dollar or the British pound (scripture, indirectly, teaches their elimination, for details see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/britishisrael.htm\">Anglo &#8211; America in Prophecy &amp; the Lost Tribes of Israel<\/a>). Daniel 11:24 shows that the leader mentioned in Daniel 11:43 will somehow also be accumulating wealth prior to this time, and that may involve gold accumulation.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps to back up a European-supported currency, he also may end up with personal and\/or national gold reserves and\/or wealth from the Vatican. The Vatican has a vast amount of wealth and is prophesied to be improperly involved with the kings of the earth in the end times per Revelation 17.<\/p>\n<p>Now this does NOT mean that gold will only go up in value. It will have ups and downs and probably will drop in value once associated with the temporary peace deal that Daniel 9:27 alludes to (see also <a href=\"http:\/\/cogwriter.com\/daniel-9-27-deal.htm\">The \u2018Peace Deal\u2019 of Daniel 9:27<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic prophecies discuss gold in the end times.<\/p>\n<p>Notice the following Orthodox prophecy:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Saint Andrew Fool-for-Christ<\/em> (c. 4th century): This king will rule\u2026Happiness will reign in the world as it did in the days of Noah. People will become very rich\u2026The entire world will fear this king\u2026he will pursue all persons of the Jewish religion out of Constantinople\u2026and the people will rejoice like in the time of Noah until the deluge came God will reveal to this king all the gold wherever it happen to lay concealed from view\u2026(Tzima Otto, H. The Great Monarch and WWIII in Orthodox, Roman Catholic, and Scriptural Prophecies. Verenika Press, Rock City (SC), 2000, pp. 113,114).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>While the above seems to look forward to the coming &#8216;days of Noah,&#8217; Jesus warned about that:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div id=\"v-26\" class=\"verse font-helvetica\"><span class=\"verse-number\">26<\/span> <span class=\"verse-26\"> And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: <\/span><span class=\"verse-number\">27<\/span> <span class=\"verse-27\"> They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. (Luke 17:26-27)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Those who will think the coming &#8216;days of Noah&#8217; are good, are not understanding Jesus&#8217; teachings.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Emperor Leo the Philosopher<\/em> (c. early 10th century): You will amass the gold of the nations\u2026And you will be the leader of the surrounding powers\u2026and those that are near will prostate themselves before your feet (Tzima Otto, pp. 76-77).<\/p>\n<p><em>To Emperor Manuel II<\/em> (d. 1425): \u2026upon the command of the the good Emperor they will go and discover treasures of gold and silver and all this will be offered as a gift to the pious ones; later on more and more valuable treasures will be found and the Emperor will do with those treasures likewise (Tzima Otto, p. 102).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Roman Catholics may wish to consider that those last three Orthodox predictions sound a lot like prophecies from two of their saints about Antichrist (Ephrem is also an Orthodox saint):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Saint Ephrem<\/em> (died 375): Antichrist will use worldly goods as bait. He will entice many Christians with money and goods to apostatize\u2026The devil will help him find all the hidden treasures of the world, even those at the bottom of the ocean. With those treasures he will attain greater success for the reign of Satan than at any other time in past centuries (Connor, Edward. Prophecy for Today. Imprimatur + A.J. Willinger, Bishop of Monterey-Fresno; Reprint: Tan Books and Publishers, Rockford (IL), 1984, pp.73.74).<\/p>\n<p><em>Saint Mechtilda<\/em> (died 1299): Antichrist will, through base and false strategem, and with presents of gold and gems, attain influence over the worldly princes. They will look up to him as their Lord and God (Culleton, The Reign of Antichrist, pp. 133-134).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So does the Great Monarch amass gold with God\u2019s help like Orthodox prophecies suggest or does he amass gold with the help of Satan as at least one Catholic saint and certain biblical prophecies (Daniel 11:43; Revelation 18; 9:20) indicate?<\/p>\n<p>The answer should be obvious to all who wish to believe the God of the Bible. The Bible is clear that those who amass gold at the end time will find it is not the answer:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>1 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you! 2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days. (James 5:1-3)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>While I do not have the confidence in gold as many \u2018gold bugs\u2019 do (basically, because of scripture and the fact that gold has a limited utility), the time will come when the USA will wish it had more gold, as its practice of electronically printing and borrowing its own money will create a massive problem for it (Habakkuk 2:6-8).<\/p>\n<p>But have no doubt about it, the Bible prophesies that during the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21-22; Daniel 11:39-43; Revelation 18:12,16) that nations around the world will value gold. During that time, there will be no US dollar prominence.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike the USA dollar, gold seems to be prophesied to retain value past the time the USA is gone (cf.
