Notice the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"entry-title\">Study: Vitamin D deficiency raises risk of death from COVID by 50%<\/h2>\n<h4>Israeli, Russian researchers affirm benefits of supplements<\/h4>\n<p>July 25, 2022 at 5:33 pm<\/p>\n<p>Patients with a Vitamin D deficiency have as much as a 50% higher probability of death from COVID-19, according to a study by researchers in Israel and Russia.<\/p>\n<p>The boost to the immune system from Vitamin D can be found in supplements as well as foods such as egg yolks, fatty salmon, sardines, herring, canned tuna, beef liver, fortified milk, cereals, yogurt and orange juice. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The study, published in the Israel Medical Association Journal, analyzed published clinical trials showing patients with low vitamin D levels are more prone to infection from COVID-19, and severe illness and death from the disease, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/health-and-wellness\/article-713006\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the Jerusalem Post reported<\/a>. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The researchers published preliminary findings in June 2021 that showed 26% of coronavirus patients died if they were vitamin D deficient soon before hospitalization. That compared to 3% who had normal levels of vitamin D. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2022\/07\/study-vitamin-d-deficiency-raises-risk-death-covid-50\/\">https:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2022\/07\/study-vitamin-d-deficiency-raises-risk-death-covid-50\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This is something that public health officials, Big Tech, and the media should have been telling people about for a long time.<\/p>\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n<p>Because the positive benefits of vitamin D related to COVID\u00a0 has been known for at least 2 years.<\/p>\n<p>But, instead, many have suppressed and ridiculed the idea of using nutrients to support the immune system for COVID.<\/p>\n<p>Consider for one example, that last year, the <em>Associated Press <\/em>(AP) reported the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2 id=\"main-heading\" class=\"ssrcss-1pl2zfy-StyledHeading e1fj1fc10\" tabindex=\"-1\">The superspreaders behind top COVID-19 conspiracy theories<\/h2>\n<p>February 15, 2021<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-206 paragraph-0-2-157\">Legitimate questions about the virus created perfect conditions for conspiracy theories. In the absence of knowledge, guesswork and propaganda flourished.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-206 paragraph-0-2-157\">College professors with no evidence or training in virology were touted as experts. Anonymous social media users posed as high-level intelligence officials. And from China to Iran to Russia to the United States, governments amplified claims for their own motives.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-206 paragraph-0-2-157\">The Associated Press collaborated with the Atlantic Council\u2019s Digital Forensic Research Lab on a nine-month investigation to identify the people and organizations behind some of the most viral misinformation about the origins of the coronavirus.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-206 paragraph-0-2-157\">Their claims were explosive. Their evidence was weak. These are the superspreaders. <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/conspiracy-theories-iran-only-on-ap-media-misinformation-bfca6d5b236a29d61c4dd38702495ffe\">https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/conspiracy-theories-iran-only-on-ap-media-misinformation-bfca6d5b236a29d61c4dd38702495ffe<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The above AP article then goes on and lists various ones who made public statements that disagree with the narrative that the AP and other news organizations pushed.<\/p>\n<p>It calls it misinformation.<\/p>\n<p>But it has been places like the AP that have been superspreaders of harmful information and who also have suppressed the truth by not reporting items that do not fit its &#8216;political&#8217; narrative (which places that claim to be objective sources of journalism are not supposed to have).<\/p>\n<p>The AP and many others have put their hope in lockdowns, masks, social distancing, fear, and vaccines.<\/p>\n<p>But it could have looked into telling the public how to help their immune systems.<\/p>\n<p>Now before going further, let me state that 1) I have been trained in virology, via Columbia University and PanAmerican University of Natural Medicine, 2) the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Disease twice concluded that my work with herbal, glandular, and vitamin therapy had &#8216;significant scientific merit&#8217; against the HIV coronavirus in the 1990s, 3) I do have a Ph.D. in a biological field, nutrition science, and 4) I have successfully treated people with a variety of viruses with natural interventions for about thirty years (this is not something that people like Dr. Fauci, who the AP has repeatedly promoted as an expert, has done).<\/p>\n<p>But the AP was not interested in reporting views of people like me, despite the fact that I meet their stated criteria for being qualified on this topic. Nor were Facebook and YouTube, both of whom censored me for telling the truth and providing accurate and potentially lifesaving information. This may be because vitamin D is important in regulation and suppression of the inflammatory cytokine response, which causes the severe consequences of COVID-19 and \u2018acute respiratory distress syndrome\u2019 associated with ventilation and death.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Instead of mainly using fear and fear tactics, governments should encourage people to boost their innate immunity. This can be done by encouraging people to increase their consumption of fruits and vegetables high in vitamin C, foods high in zinc, and getting, when appropriate, sunlight exposure to increase vitamin D levels.<\/p>\n<p>In my case, in addition to all of the preceding, I take also take 100% food nutrient supplements high in vitamin C, Zinc, Vitamin D, selenium, and other nutrients. A severe vitamin D deficiency, which can occur at a level of 12 nanograms per milliliter of blood or less, leads to severe and painful bone deformations known as rickets in infants and young children and osteomalacia in adults. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Vitamin D levels in the body rise and fall according to sun exposure. If sufficient UV rays reach the skin, the body is able to produce the vitamin itself. However, the human body only derives an estimated 10 to 20 percent of its daily requirement from food. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>A research study carried out <a class=\"icon external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S2352364620300067?via%3Dihub\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">at the University of Hohenheim<\/a>\u00a0has now established a link between vitamin D deficiency, certain previous diseases, and severe cases of COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>According to the study, \u201cthere is a lot of evidence that several non-communicable diseases (high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, metabolic syndrome) are associated with low vitamin D plasma levels. These comorbidities, together with the often accompanying vitamin D deficiency, increase the risk of severe COVID-19 events.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis statement is completely correct,\u201d said Martin Fassnacht, head of endocrinology at the University Hospital of W\u00fcrzburg. However, he qualifies that it is a pure association, \u201ci.e. a mere observation that these events occur together. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Many studies on the vitamin are association or observational studies. \u201cBy definition, these studies cannot prove the causal relationship, but only point to mere correlations,\u201d said Fassnacht. The physician tries to illustrate this with an example:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cImagine two groups of 80-year-olds. One group is spry, active and does sports. If you compare them with another group living in nursing homes, the difference in vitamin D levels will be dramatic. Life expectancy would also be extremely different.\u201d \u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf a corona virus infection is suspected, it is therefore absolutely necessary to check the vitamin D status and quickly correct any possible deficit,\u201d said the recommendation of the paper published by the University of Hohenheim. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dw.com\/en\/vitamin-d-against-covid-19-more-help-or-hype\/a-54089415\">https:\/\/www.dw.com\/en\/vitamin-d-against-covid-19-more-help-or-hype\/a-54089415<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So, we see that exercise and having adequate vitamin D levels are associated with better health. Although precisely how each works is not totally understood by the medical profession, there are observational benefits.<\/p>\n<p>When I did a search at the AP&#8217;s website last year, I could not find any study that promoted vitamin D for COVID (though one article that came up in a search did mention the two&#8211;but without saying it was beneficial).<\/p>\n<p>Here is the abstract of one study that the AP seems to have overlooked last year:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"abstract-text\">\n<h3>Abstract<\/h3>\n<p>Background: COVID-19 is a major health problem because of acute respiratory distress syndrome, saturation of intensive care units (ICU) and mortality.<\/p>\n<p>Methods: Our study aims to elucidate the effect of calcifediol [25(OH)D3] treatment on ICU admission and mortality, in patients admitted to COVID-19 wards of Hospital del Mar, Barcelona, Spain. A total of 930 participants were included. Participants (n=551) were randomly assigned to calcifediol treatment (532 ug on day one and 266 ug on day 3, 7, 15, and 30) at the time of hospital admission or as controls (n=379).<\/p>\n<p>Findings: ICU assistance was required by 110 (11.8%) participants. Out of 551 patients treated with calcifediol at admission, 30 (5.4%) required ICU, compared to 80 out of 379 controls (21.1%; p&lt;0.0001). Logistic regression of calcifediol treatment on ICU admission, adjusted by age, gender, linearized 25(OH)D levels at baseline, and comorbidities showed that treated patients had a reduced risk to require ICU (RR 0.18 [95% CI 0.11;0.29]). Baseline 25(OH)D levels inversely correlated with the risk of ICU admission (RR 0.53 [95% CI 0.35;0.80]). Overall mortality was 10%. In the Intention-to-treat analysis, 36 (6.5%) out of 551 patients treated with calcifediol at admission died compared to 57 patients (15%) out of 379 controls (p=0.001). Adjusted results showed a reduced mortality for more of 60%. Higher baseline 25(OH)D levels were significantly associated with decreased mortality (RR 0.40 [95% CI 0.24;0.67]). (Romans 1:18-19)<\/p>\n<p>22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man (Romans 1:22-23)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That is something that the mainstream and many others have done in this past year. Instead of taking nutritional and other immune boosting views seriously, they pushed the fear and vaccine agenda.<\/p>\n<p>The economies of the world have been badly damaged by this.<\/p>\n<p>At risk of repeat, here is a list of items that the YouTube-censored video promoted:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>People should decrease their consumption of junk food. Instead that has increased and many Americans have gained unhealthy weight (see <a title=\"Permanent Link to Using scale for weight loss? Americans gain weight during COVID-19 shut downs\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/news\/doctrine\/using-scale-for-weight-loss-americans-gain-weight-during-covid-19-shut-downs\/\" rel=\"bookmark\">Using scale for weight loss? Americans gain weight during COVID-19 shut downs<\/a>) which will not bolster their innate or adaptive immune systems.<\/li>\n<li>Exercise is beneficial for the immune system (watch <a id=\"video-title\" class=\"yt-simple-endpoint style-scope ytd-grid-video-renderer\" title=\"The Plain Truth About Exercise\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3z0QI-jGbX8\" aria-label=\"The Plain Truth About Exercise by BibleNewsProphecy 6 hours ago 17 minutes 59 views\">The Plain Truth About Exercise<\/a>), yet during the corona\/COVID lockdowns, many have gotten less exercise. Some because of fear of going outside and some because many gyms have been closed by government orders. Yet, the Bible teaches \u2018bodily exercise profits a little\u2019 (1 Timothy 4:8).<\/li>\n<li>Avoiding smoking (see also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cogwriter.com\/smoking-and-christianity.htm\">Should Christians Smoke Tobacco or Marijuana?<\/a>) and polluted air (watch <a dir=\"ltr\" title=\"Air Pollution, Autism, and Prophecy\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rjsS3aQ6xhA\" data-sessionlink=\"ei=VVs0U7OgOsbJ-QPkloCoDw&amp;ved=CCQQvxs&amp;feature=c4-feed-u\"><span data-original-html=\"Air Pollution, Autism, and Prophecy \">Air Pollution, Autism, and Prophecy<\/span><\/a>) help the immune function. So, a nation in this hemisphere that is mainly made up of poor persons of color, and without much access to Western medical care has a death rate over 40x lower than the USA. While there might be some under counting in Haiti and overcounting in the USA, that is a huge difference.<\/p>\n<p>The fact that the Haitians are less likely to be overweight, are outside more (which means that they are more exposed to sunlight which converts cholesterol into vitamin D), and probably walk a lot more than those in the USA are probably all factors.
