However, Moscow has insisted that any attempts to isolate the country will fail. The key organizations that Russia is part of, such as BRICS, are also expanding.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa revealed following a meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman last month that Riyadh would like to join BRICS, which currently comprises Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. On top of that, media reports claimed back in July that T\u00fcrkiye and Egypt might also be interested. Speaking at a meeting with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Lavrov indicated that membership of the BRICS bloc is in high demand.\u00a0 &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The bloc is also expected to consider adding Saudi Arabia, T\u00fcrkiye, Egypt and Afghanistan. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/news\/566152-russia-brics-expansion-lavrov\/\">https:\/\/www.rt.com\/news\/566152-russia-brics-expansion-lavrov\/<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The tweet at the beginning of this post hints that part of the reason nations want to be part of BRICS is to push aside the USA dollar as the world&#8217;s primary reserve currency.<\/p>\n<p>And according to a founder of BRICS, that is why it formed in the first place:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"b-article__lead\">\n<h2 class=\"heading less-space\">BRICS was created as a tool of attack: Lula<\/h2>\n<p>August 28, 2019<\/p>\n<p>In a wide-ranging, two-hour-plus, exclusive interview from a prison room in Curitiba in southern Brazil, former Brazilian president Luis Inacio Lula da Silva re-emerged for the first time, after more than 500 days in jail, and sent a clear message to the world. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>My first question to Lula was about BRICS and the current geopolitical chessboard, with the US facing a Russia-China strategic partnership. As president, from 2003 to 2010, Lula was instrumental in formatting and expanding the influence of BRICS \u2026 He emphasized: \u201cBRICS was not created to be an instrument of defense, but to be an instrument of attack. So we could create our own currency to become independent from the US dollar in our trade relations; to create a development bank, which we did \u2013 but it is still too timid \u2013 to create something strong capable of helping the development of the poorest parts of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lula made an explicit reference to the United States\u2019 fears about a new currency: \u201cThis was the logic behind BRICS, to do something different and not copy anybody. The US was very much afraid when I discussed a new currency and Obama called me, telling me, \u2018Are you trying to create a new currency, a new euro?\u2019 I said, \u2018No, I\u2019m just trying to get rid of the US dollar. Let it be noted that uis Inacio Lula da Silva is once again the President of Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>And the reality is that steps continue to be taken in the East to push aside the USA dollar as the world&#8217;s primary international settlement and reserve currency.<\/p>\n<p>Notice some reports from this Summer:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"article__header__heading\">Targeting the US Dollar\u2019s Hegemony: Russia, China, and BRICS Nations Plan to Craft a New International Reserve Currency<\/h2>\n<p>July 13, 2022<\/p>\n<p><strong>While inflation data in Europe and the U.S. has risen significantly higher last month, Russia and members of the BRICS countries revealed leaders in the five major emerging economies are in the midst of \u201ccreating an international reserve currency.\u201d Analysts believe the BRICS reserve currency is meant to rival the U.S. dollar and the International Monetary Fund\u2019s (IMF) Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) currency. &#8230;<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During the BRICS Summit, Russian president Vladimir Putin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rt.com\/business\/557627-brics-developing-global-reserve-currency\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">announced<\/a> that the five-member economies \u2014 Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa plan to issue a \u201cnew global reserve currency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe matter of creating the international reserve currency based on the basket of currencies of our countries is under review,\u201d Putin <a href=\"https:\/\/tass.com\/economy\/1469823\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> at the time. \u201cWe are ready to openly work with all fair partners,\u201d he added. Additionally, Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arabnews.com\/node\/2127586\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">considering joining<\/a> the BRICS group. Analysts believe the BRICS move to create a reserve currency is an attempt to undermine the U.S. dollar and the IMF\u2019s SDRs. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>China has been hoarding <a href=\"https:\/\/moneyweek.com\/investments\/commodities\/gold\/603131\/how-much-gold-does-china-own\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">massive amounts of gold<\/a> as well, as both countries hiked their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/story\/watch-out-america-china-and-russia-are-stockpiling-gold-2019-07-29\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">gold reserve purchases<\/a> a great deal a few years before the war. Russian banks also joined the China International Payments System (CIPS) making it easier for the two countries to trade. In April last year, China opened its borders to billions of dollars of gold imports, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/china\/exclusive-china-opens-its-borders-billions-dollars-gold-imports-sources-2021-04-16\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">report<\/a> from Reuters. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Since World War I, the U.S. dollar has been the <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/the-50th-anniversary-of-nixon-shock-how-suspending-the-dollars-convertibility-with-gold-fueled-todays-fiat-world\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">world\u2019s global reserve currency<\/a> and America emerged as the largest international creditor. &#8230; However, the Russian ruble has been a <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/american-economists-are-baffled-by-an-unusual-situation-as-russias-ruble-is-the-worlds-best-performing-fiat-currency\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">strong competitor<\/a> to the dollar this year and has been one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/russian-ruble-taps-7-year-high-against-the-us-dollar-economist-says-dont-ignore-the-exchange-rate\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">best-performing fiat currencies<\/a> in 2022. 07\/24\/22 <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/targeting-the-us-dollars-hegemony-russia-china-and-brics-nations-plan-to-craft-a-new-international-reserve-currency\/\">https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/targeting-the-us-dollars-hegemony-russia-china-and-brics-nations-plan-to-craft-a-new-international-reserve-currency\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The BRICS countries have increasingly taken steps to de-dollarize their economies and protect themselves from sanctions. For years, discussions about trade settlements outside the SWIFT system have been common among BRICS countries. &#8230;<\/p>\n<div class=\"pagebuilder-column-group\" data-content-type=\"column-group\" data-grid-size=\"12\" data-element=\"main\">\n<div class=\"pagebuilder-column\" data-content-type=\"column\" data-appearance=\"full-height\" data-background-images=\"{}\" data-element=\"main\" data-pb-style=\"HCMJ2I6\">\n<div data-content-type=\"text\" data-appearance=\"default\" data-element=\"main\">\n<p>Russia has strengthened BRICS alliances by selling oil to BRICS countries at a discount outside SWIFT. In May, Chinese imports of Russian oil were up 55% from a year earlier. Russia has surpassed Saudi Arabia as the top supplier of <a tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/world\/europe\/russia-is-rerouting-trade-and-oil-to-brics-countries-putin\/articleshow\/92391516.cms\">Chinese oil<\/a>. Also, Russia and China are conducting many cross-border lumber transactions in both Chinese Yuan and the Russian Ruble. A Chinese Communist Newspaper, the Global Times, editorial argued that BRICS should push for all its members to use local currencies to push back against the dollar hegemony. The article went on to say, \u201cIf they can achieve that goal, other developing nations will also join them when it comes to developing alternative financial infrastructure in response to reckless U.S. sanctions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Iran has applied to join BRICS. Russia is Iran&#8217;s ally, and China is the primary customer of Iranian oil. Iran&#8217;s significant <a tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/oilprice.com\/Latest-Energy-News\/World-News\/Iran-Looks-To-Join-BRICS-Group-Of-Russia-And-China.html\">oil deposits<\/a> are probably desirable to the other BRICS nations. Argentina has also applied to BRICS. <a tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/place\/Argentina\/Resources-and-power\">Argentina has large deposits of oil, metals, and beef production<\/a>. The resources of Iran and Argentina are strategic if BRICS successfully create a commodity-based currency. After Russia pegged the Ruble to gold earlier this year, the likelihood of a BRICS commodity-backed currency significantly increased.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div data-content-type=\"text\" data-appearance=\"default\" data-element=\"main\">\n<p>The BRICS economic influence extends beyond what most realize. BRICS have opened a bank called the New Development Bank (NDB) and has begun funding projects. A joint statement from BRICS finance ministers and central bank governors said, \u201cWe encourage the NDB, as a leading provider of solutions for infrastructure and sustainable development\u2026expand local currency operation, improve its credit ratings\u2026including undertaking more <a tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/infobrics.org\/post\/35959\">co-financing ventures<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The BRICS are gaining economic significance &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>BRICS de-dollarizing represents one of the greatest threats to the Dollar.<\/p>\n<p>All the infrastructure is being built to de-dollarize the world economy. The Chinese Communist Party&#8217;s newspaper calls for pushback against the Dollar&#8217;s hegemony. BRICS are actively building a currency and have already opened multiple banks. Russia has already pegged its currency to gold. Multiple signposts are warning of a bleak future for the Dollar, and indeed, there will be a divided world economy or unbelievable violence to hold the current economic structure together.<\/p>\n<p>BRICS are protecting themselves from the danger of the Dollar and building their alliances with physical gold and energy. South Africa is a part of BRICS not because it is a large economy. It just has a lot of gold. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usgoldbureau.com\/news\/is-brics-a-threat-to-the-dollar\">https:\/\/www.usgoldbureau.com\/news\/is-brics-a-threat-to-the-dollar<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div data-content-type=\"text\" data-appearance=\"default\" data-element=\"main\">\n<blockquote>\n<h2>China and Russia Want to Replace US Dollar With BRICS Currencies<\/h2>\n<div>\n<div class=\"authorInfo ft18\">July 11, 2022<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"restBody ft18\">\n<div class=\"pt10 mt10 searchHighlight\">\n<p>The BRICS\u2014an acronym for Brazil, Russia, India, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-china\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">China<\/a>, and South Africa\u2014<a href=\"http:\/\/brics2022.mfa.gov.cn\/eng\/dtxw\/202206\/t20220624_10709304.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">held a summit on<\/a> June 23. The meeting, chaired by Chinese leader Xi Jinping, was part of a lengthy series of <a href=\"http:\/\/brics2022.mfa.gov.cn\/eng\/dtxw\/202206\/t20220624_10709304.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BRICS cooperation<\/a> events, which began on June 6 with the second finance ministers and central bank governors meeting and ended with the second meeting of the committee of senior energy officials on June 28.<\/p>\n<p>In his opening remarks, Xi stated, \u201cWe should also expand BRICS cooperation on <a href=\"http:\/\/brics2022.mfa.gov.cn\/eng\/dtxw\/202206\/t20220624_10709304.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cross-border payment<\/a> and credit rating to facilitate trade, investment, and financing among our countries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He went on to reaffirm the Chinese Communist Party\u2019s (CCP) commitment to working together with the BRICS nations to achieve the CCP dream of the Global Development Initiative (GDI). \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Both Xi and Russian President Vladimir Putin called for payment alternatives to decrease the U.S. dollar\u2019s dominance in international trade and to reduce U.S. control of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-swift\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SWIFT<\/a> system.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Chinese state-run tabloid Global Times, bankers and economists in BRICS countries have recommended that the bloc \u201cexpand national currency settlements and lending to counter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globaltimes.cn\/page\/202206\/1268800.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the US\u2019 weaponization<\/a> of the dollar.\u201d \u2026<\/p>\n<p>They resent the dominance of the U.S. dollar as a reserve currency. They do not want the dollar to be the currency of international settlement. And they are threatened by the necessity to transact international payments through the U.S. SWIFT system, which depends on U.S. banks.<\/p>\n<p>The reason why countries use the U.S. dollar in the international settlement is because commodities such as oil are priced in dollars, and because the dollar is a stable currency that is readily convertible everywhere in the world. None of the BRICS currencies are considered fully convertible. \u2026<\/p>\n<p>An alternative recommendation by Putin and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.globaltimes.cn\/page\/202206\/1268800.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bankers in Russia<\/a> would be to use a basket of currencies. This idea is modeled on the IMF\u2019s SDR, which is composed of a basket of international currencies, including the U.S. dollar, euro, yuan, Japanese yen, and British pound. From a US perspective the problem is you\u2019ve hit 10 different countries over the head with the sanctions card, so you\u2019re forcing these countries to form a bloc against you. Daniel 11:37-43; Revelation 18).<\/p>\n<p>Russia, China, and other nations are working towards a world where the USA dollar is not the world\u2019s primary reserve currency and a world where gold rises up.<\/p>\n<p>The BRICS call for a basket of currencies with implied gold backing is something I have long warned was a possibility.<\/p>\n<p>Gold will outlast the USA dollar.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, the Bible is clear that those who amass gold at the end time will find it is not the answer:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>1 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you! 2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days. (James 5:1-3)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>While I do not have the confidence in gold as many \u2018gold bugs\u2019 do (basically, because of scripture and the fact that gold has a limited utility), the time will come when the USA will wish it had more gold, as its practice of electronically printing and borrowing its own money will create a massive problem for it (Habakkuk 2:6-8).<\/p>\n<p>But have no doubt about it, the Bible prophesies that during the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21-22; Daniel 11:39-43; Revelation 18:12,16) that nations around the world will value gold. During that time, there will be no USA dollar prominence.<\/p>\n<p>Steps to push aside the USA dollar are happening.<\/p>\n<p>The expansion of BRICS and other non-Anglo-American alliances (like the EU, SCO, ASEAN, and EAEU) is consistent with prophecies about the final time of the Gentiles&#8211;this is getting closer.<\/p>\n<p>The more the USA uses its dollar as a weapon, the more nations want to work for a way around it.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, even part of the point of BRICS originally was to bypass the USA dollar.
