Obama<\/strong> touts possible bipartisan pact on debt limit<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n

Washington \u2013 President Barack Obama<\/strong> spoke Tuesday of a possible bipartisan accord that includes both spending cuts and tax increases and allows the US debt limit<\/strong> to be raised before an Aug. 2 deadline.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Bible defends marriage and only defines it as between a man and a woman (cf. Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-10).\u00a0 It repeatedly condemns homosexual acts (for specific scriptures, see US Senate Votes to Lift Homosexual Ban in Military<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The inability to think clearly and to approve of homosexuality is specifically discussed in the New Testament:<\/p>\n

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God<\/strong>, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man \u2014 and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.<\/p>\n

24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.<\/p>\n

26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.<\/strong><\/p>\n

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting<\/strong>; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them<\/strong>.\u00a0 (Romans 1:18-32)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Because many do not wish to retain God in their knowledge, this is part of why much of the leadership of the USA thinks that increasing debt is a good thing.\u00a0 And why non-homosexuals politicians (and others) are supporting homosexual causes.<\/p>\n

Has Barack Obama has considered what will be the long term consequences of continuing to increase debt?\u00a0 Notice:<\/p>\n

3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end<\/strong> it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come<\/strong>, It will not tarry…5 Indeed, because he transgresses by wine, He is a proud man… 6 “Will not all these take up a proverb against him, And a taunting riddle against him, and say, ‘Woe to him who increases What is not his–how long? And to him who loads himself with many pledges’? 7 Will not your creditors rise up suddenly?<\/strong> Will they not awaken who oppress you? And you will become their booty. <\/strong>8 Because you have plundered many nations, All the remnant of the people shall plunder you <\/strong> (Habakkuk 2:3,5,6-8).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The above prophecy will be fulfilled at the time of the end according to related scriptures (cf. “The message was true, but the appointed time was long…in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come”, Daniel 10:1,14). Daniel 8:19, 11:27,29,35 use same the Hebrew term for “appointed time” as Habakkuk 2:3, while Daniel 10, using a different term, ties the latter days to the time in Daniel 8:19. Habakkuk 2 was not fulfilled in its entirety anciently. Also, it makes little sense that Habakkuk’s comments would be directed towards the modern nation of Israel as it does not have enemy creditors. It must be a nation or group of nations with some prominence at the appointed time of the end.<\/p>\n

This problem will cause sudden destruction among those who are spiritually drunk:<\/p>\n

3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. (1 Thessalonians 5:3-7)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Notice that both Paul and Habakkuk seem to have tied drunkenness in with this sudden calamity (so did Jesus in Luke 21:34-35). Truly the USA is not spiritually sober, on its approach now to marriage.<\/p>\n

Notice how Ezekiel’s writings confirm that those who made profits improper will be punished:<\/p>\n

13 “Behold, therefore, I beat My fists at the dishonest profit which you have mad<\/strong>e, and at the bloodshed which has been in your midst. 14 Can your heart endure, or can your hands remain strong, in the days when I shall deal with you? I, the Lord, have spoken, and will do it. 15 I will scatter you among the nations, disperse you throughout the countries<\/strong>, and remove your filthiness completely from you. (Ezekiel 22:13-15)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Borrowing money that will not be paid back is a “dishonest profit” which the American (as well as British) peoples have been living off of for the past several years. They will be scattered for this and their filthiness (see also Will the Anglo-Nations be Divided?<\/a>). Sexual immorality and abortion are simply some outward signs of this filthiness.\u00a0 No longer supporting the Defense of Marriage Act is one more step in that direction.<\/p>\n

Over the weekend, Egan-Jones Ratings Co., of which Sean Egan is president, cut its rating on US government debt from AAA to AA+…(Daily Reckoning, July 19, 2011).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And the major credit rating agencies are considering do the same.\u00a0 This will increase the interest that the USA will pay on its debt and ultimately help put the USA in a debt spiral that will it will not recover from (I also believe that “natural disasters” and other events will be factors as well).<\/p>\n

Right now, the USA political leadership wants and hopes to increase debt without getting its credit rating downgraded and to\u00a0 borrow more from its foreign creditors.\u00a0 Despite all that is happening, these leaders believe that not increasing debt will be a greater calamity.\u00a0 They are in biblical error.<\/p>\n

The USA is setting itself up for financial ruin, and even worse.\u00a0\u00a0 Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed as examples (Jude 7; 2 Peter 2:6).\u00a0 The currently militarily strong USA will not be spared (Daniel 11:39).\u00a0 Watch (Mark 13, Matthew 24).<\/p>\n
